I love this practice! Dr. Swagat Patel is amazing! He is highly educated and genuinely cares about his patients. I'm so happy to be one of his patients! I recently moved out of the area, but still drive an hour to see him as I am very particular about my dentists. (He's well worth the drive!) Horrible experience with the manager and the front desk staff. The manager Shayla is beyond disrespectful!! She is so rude, talks over you, will get in your face, raises her voice, and SHE makes this office horrible. You can hear her and the front desk staff talking about patients in the waiting area and definitely while you are in your appointment IF it doesn't get canceled!!! This place is so horrible. The worst dental office experience I've had. Dental office at zero star. Repeated harassing phone calls, appointments repeatedly rescheduled or canceled the day of the visit, poor communication, and a complete lack of professionalism. What concerned me most was hearing staff openly discussing other patients within earshot of others, which made me question how seriously patient privacy and confidentiality are taken. Having an outstanding balance does not justify treating patients with disrespect. I've transferred my care elsewhere and requested my records. I would not recommend this office. read more

Deplorable customer service. I sent them my x-rays and was told I was having an extraction today at 3pm. They called me and said I can only get an extraction if I come early or else it will just be another consultation. I've already have had 3 consultations, I need an extraction clearly illustrated in my x-rays. It's better off talk with the doctor directly, a lot of dental practices are replete with obese front desk women who just want to go home for the day and don't care about the patients health. read more

Nothing good to say about Excel Dental. The person that did the x-rays struggled with the equipment They use a high pressure water pick to do the cleanings and almost drown me. The girl the hat finished the cleaning only polished the front of my teeth letting me feel the scrapes left from the power washing. Pushed me to a different office because no qualified dentist in Everett location. Poor communication between offices messed up appointments and eventually decided to go to a different more professional dentist office. read more

Don't bother wasting your time. Dr. Sagat told me that I have a gum disease, 5 cavities, gonna extract my tooth, need deep cleaning, and wanted to do impressions on my teeth. He can only point out one shadow on my X-rays. I knew right there I needed a second opinion. I went to Perfect Dental down the street. They had to do new X-rays because the one Excel send wasn't clear enough. I had no cavities, just a couple that I need to watch, no gum disease, and definitely didn't need to extract any tooth! I can't believe this guy is trying to get away with billing more on insurance companies. Go to an actual professional who has your interest not $$$ in his pocket. read more

This was part 2 of my adventure here at Excel Dental and Chelsea was there to greet me and she took care of everything for me yo see the Doctor. Im still very happy with the care I recieved from Dr. Swagat who had me laughing through most of the painless procedure wich looks really good so far and the Tech Super Sokha....her nickname..lol... was awesome and kept me at ease throughout. Let me start off by saying that I am terrified of going to the dentist because I have bad teeth and previous dentists always made me feel really insecure about my teeth. I was experiencing really bad facial pain that I thought was a sinus infection and it didn't go away with antibiotics. I knew it was my tooth. I spent hours researching dentists and excel dental kept popping up and had excellent reviews so I scheduled an emergency appointment and I could not have been happier that I did. Dr. Patel was amazing and was the nicest dentist I have ever met. He made sure I was comfortable the whole time. He told me my tooth was infected and could be saved and set me up with a specialist for my root canal and to make an appointment to come back to see him after I get my root canal done to work on the next steps. read more

I love this practice. The receptionists are so kind and friendly. Dr. Patel is awesome. He's honest, sincere, and really passionate about his work. I have so many issues with my teeth, and he totally gets it, he never makes his patients feel bad or embarrassed for issues they are dealing with. Additionally, if he feels you need a procedure that's out of his range of speciality, he makes a referral for you as opposed to selfishly trying to do it himself. He explains all of the patients' options in full detail, and is very reasonably in pricing. With so many "pop op" dental shops surrounding the Lowell/Chelmsford line, it's awesome to see this dental practice really cares about the patients and services they provide! read more

We loved the treatment we received from the dentists and hygienists over the last couple of years. We had an issue today when my wife went in for her 6 month cleaning and exam today 1/26/21. When she checked in she was told that Excel dental no longer took our insurance. I asked the billing manager why and was told that they have had issues getting paid so they made a decision to no longer accept Dominion Dental. I called Dominion on the spot (in the presence of the billing manager (Name??) and was told that bills are being paid to them in 2021 and Excel had a contract with them and had to accept my insurance. The billing manager then said it wasn't the payment time but the dentist we see had not yet renewed their Dominion contract and that we would have to pay cash and not be reimbursed for the visit. My wife waited six months for this visit and was even called by Excel a few days prior to confirm that she was still coming and was never told that they no longer accepted Dominion insurance. Bottom lone is that it cost us $49 for a visit that should have been 100% paid by Dominion. Have Geha dental and never paid a co pay in my whole life for cleanings. Woman at the front desk says I owe 30 bucks. I called the insurance company and they said I don't owe anything for preventative care. She still didn't move on the 30 dollars. Then why have me call them if you had no intention of changing the amount. A complete waste. They insisted on the 30. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with the insurance company. Woman's nasty in person nasty attitude she said are you ok paying the 30 I gave in and said fine I will pay and I'll get reimbursed later. I said I work for the US government and I don't know how they do it they may call to get reimbursed for me. She seemed almost mad I might get reimbursed, like the 30 bucks comes out of her check. Poor Ed from the previous review only got the nastiness over the phone I got it live with the twisted angry faces thrown in for good measure. I got the bonus deal. You missed out Ed next time come in. Then I see her mumbling junk to the dentist under her breath. I presume at that point I walked out. Funny another person wrote bad attitude on front desk person so it's not just me. She said my mothers works for the government I know how it works.if you knew how it worked I wouldn't be paying 30 dollars then. I dont like going to the dentist. They always super rough and terrifying. But this place I different. The procedure although a bit uncomfortable are a lot more tolerable than my previous dentist. Nice little area with good atmosphere and free parking in the front. Definitely will keep up my every six month appointment :) read more

Let me tell you, I feared going to the dentist SO MUCH that it took me about 6 years to finally see one. I was recommended to come to Excel Dental and I was EXTREMELY skeptical about it since I've had so many bad experiences with other dentists in the past from other offices. As soon as I walked in I was hit with so much hospitality. The receptionists were super friendly. I had 2 wisdom teeth that needed to be removed because they were extremely painful. The dentist knew I was scared and started cracking jokes just to make me feel better, but then assured me that I will not have a bad experience and they will remove my teeth pain free. The dentist removed my teeth so fast and so painless that I was still laying there waiting when he told me "ok you're all set! Now that wasn't so bad was it?" I and told them "ha, nice try. Come on doctor please finish the procedure so we can get it over with." He responded "you're all set! The teeth have been removed!" I couldn't believe it. These guys are literally the best I've ever worked with. If you're a person like me who fears going to the dentist because of the pain, let me tell you, these guys make it so painless that it literally feels like you're going for a visit to lay down and relax and enjoy the wonderful company of the staff. It's truly the best experience I've ever had from any dentist. Highly recommended!!!! read more

I wish I could give it more stars .The staff is wonderful. Dr. Patel is so good .he explain everything he is going to do. He doesn't pressure you in nothing.
