I had a very frustrating experience with Dr. Patel regarding a crown procedure. My first crown at this office done by a different dentist was completed perfectly no gum pain, no swelling, no sensitivity, and no bite issues. Because of that positive experience, I expected similar care with my second crown. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I had to return approximately six times for adjustments related to my right and left crown. During this time, I was unable to chew on my right side for nearly three weeks. As a result of compensating by chewing only on my left, my left molar filling eventually failed and had to be redone. The second crown procedure was extremely uncomfortable. After placement, I experienced ongoing pain when chewing, specifically along the gum line, as if the tooth was pressing into the gum tissue. It felt bruised or cut. I repeatedly requested that the crown be properly measured and adjusted not just the bite, but also the inside/top surface, which was rubbing against my tongue and causing a noticeable lisp. Although the bite was adjusted, the internal contour issue was not corrected despite multiple requests. Instead, the conversation repeatedly shifted toward discussing the possibility of a root canal. I found this concerning, as I did not have these issues prior to the crown placement. My discomfort appeared mechanical in nature (fit and contour), not nerve-related. I clearly communicated what I was feeling it is my mouth, and I know when something feels uneven. The crown on the right side feels smaller compared to the left when I run my tongue across it. Despite multiple measurements and visits, the problem remains unresolved. I am disappointed with the inconsistency in care and being transferred between different providers instead of continuing with the dentist who did my first successful crown. I expected precision and follow-through, especially after multiple return visits. Patients deserve to feel heard and to have fit-related concerns fully addressed before being advised toward more invasive procedures. read more

I've been coming here for years now after switching from Aspen Dental who told me I had cavities and needed work done, which I actually did not (after getting a second opinion here). I get cleanings every 6 months and have never had any issues. Everyone is super friendly, it's easy to make an appointment, and I never feel rushed if I have questions. Dr. Siddhi Mehta is the only reason I keep going back here twice a year! She's absolutely a brilliant doctor and if she could do something more for a patient she would. She's very respectful, gentle, caring, kind, sensitive to her patients needs/concerns/feelings. I get nervous sometimes when comes to getting my teeth xray/clean every time for whatever reasons but she makes sure I feel comfortable and safe. When I leave her office my mouth doesn't feel sore like I had some bad experience elsewhere. I have written many 5 star ratings prior, because my regular dentist here is not just 5 stars, but 10. Not so, this nightmare visit. I want to return, to MY dentist there, but may not be soon. I am really, really angry. I had to make a police report. This time the crown fell off but could not be fixed. A surgeon pulled it today. It did not go so well. And then my phone got stolen at (not so) Perfect Dental. Had to deal with that while my mouth was in total pain, which was a total pain (in the you know what). I need my phone as I have a dying 94 year old father and two profoundly autistic sons and no one to help me (single mother). My mouth was so painful. Luckily, they called in a pain killer with the antibiotic. Only-they forgot to. I called, they were closed. No emergency number unlike EVERY other decent dentist. So out of luck, and in intense pain. No so fun when you pay them lots and lots of money, and they totally do not give a sh*t. Trying to sleep tonight but not having very much luck on the small amount of Tylenol I have in the house. Dr Choksin diagnosed that an extraction was needed, and that they were going to contact me to give me an appointment, I waited a week and they never spoke to me, then I spoke every day for a week and they were never able to give me an appointment for my extraction nor did they contacted again. I've been going to Perfect dental for a couple years now. The only reason I went there was because other dentists would not accept my crappy insurance. If you want to be treated like cattle, this is definitely the place to go. Their answer to most toothache is to extract teeth (more $$$ this way, right ?) I put up with them because I had no other place to go, but when they refused to prescribe me adequate pain killers for an infection that kept me up and ultimately made me go to emergencies because of the pain, I cancelled my appointment (for not one but TWO extractions (because cavity was not "in good location")) and decided to go to emergency. So I am now looking for another dentist as an emergency. read more

They are friendly and the office is welcoming with comfortable seating. I've been 3 times. For every appointment, I've had to wait at least 20 minutes before being seen. Then, each appointment takes at least an hour. My overall impression (I don't know for sure) is that they hire very green people and they take their time because they don't have a lot of experience. Appt. 1: The x-rays took a very long time and my impression was that the technician did not know her way around. It was painfully slow and often uncomfortable. Also, the sanitary protocol was not followed. They covered the end of the metal x-ray "arm" but not the arm itself so my mouth was in direct contact with the metal. I thought this was odd and looked it up later. Appt. 2: I noticed that the trash was overflowing. It doesn't make me feel that your office is sanitary, especially after my first appt. Went there for about two years while in between dentists and I had crappy dental coverage. Patient care is okay- appointments take over an hour. Be prepared to wait at reception as well as wait while you are in the chair. Recently my husband and I have gotten new and better dental insurance and I called there TWICE to ask about the record release process. First I was told I can't have it mailed to me, I must come into the office to file it? What?! So I explained I live almost half an hour away from the office and can she please mail it to help me out? She verified my address on file, then said she would send it out that day and it never came. Another time I got three separate phone calls to make an Appt even though I called and canceled all future cleanings for myself and my husband.... then I mentioned I did not receive the record paperwork and she said she would mail it out for me now and double checked on my address again. Of course it never came to me again... finally after about two or three months of nothing happening and already visiting my new dentist for a cleaning, I drove my ass an hour round trip just in order to fill out a record release paper for the both of us. Here is hoping they can fulfill this simple request. I don't have much faith in this panning out, but I did all my due diligence. They need better office help for sure. So aggravating! read more

The dentist I had could not have been more attentive and concerned about me being informed and comfortable every step of having a crown done. It is now six months in and I still do not have a properly fitting denture. The first set was much too large and the process was restarted at the end of April. At my last appointment three weeks ago, I was kept waiting a solid hour. When I announced I was leaving, I was finally told that the dentist treating me had transferred to another office. I recently lost my Dentist that I have had for 25+ years, due to loss of private insurance. I found a Dentist that took MassHealth. I had 1 year with him, and left his practice. They were disorganized, unhelpful, and I felt like nothing but a number and someone they were trying to squeeze as much $ as they could from, as they wouldn't be paid much for my dental work. A friend of mine who has anxiety issues, as well as panic attacks, told me about Perfect Dental. She had not been to the dentist in 5 years due to her issues and several back surgeries. She went to Perfect Dental, and told me that they have a wonderful staff and that they treated her very well, and that they were helpful as well as empathetic to her anxiety. I took her advice, and made an appointment for myself and my daughter, who also suffers from anxiety. My friend was correct. The staff was extremely helpful, and treated my daughter with dignity, not belittling her anxiety. We both had cleanings and x-rays. Even though my daughter and I both have issues with gagging, they took their time and we accomplished it. After the cleanings, and speaking with the dentist, we were given treatment plan options, with everything being explained. The staff at Perfect Dental in Drum Hill are absolutely AWESOME!! I did root canal with a doctor, she was great, but i faced a big problem when i had received phone call from collector company for a bill i didn't pay for perfect dental, my problem that i never received a phone call or mail for that bill, and when i checked with them they found small mistake in the address, never the less no one called me by phone for that bill. Office and Billing - Only three words I can say is AWFUL, AWFUL and yes AWFUL. First thing first whenever you go there, there is a new person at the front desk. Don't want to put names here but I met 7 different people there. Every person says that I am new so don't know much. They don't know how to do billing to the insurances. Front desk told me that they don't know how to do billing so please talk to billing department. I left multiple messages to their billing department but no response in last 2 weeks. No ethics there. I go there regularly but because I decided to do my cleaning every 4 months instead of six months, they told me I have to pay now ... I said I have 2 cleaning a year free, they responded by "it has to be every six month exactly" ... I said ok, how much do I have to pay now, they responded with "$161" ... I said, wow that's a little excessive, I have paid before but never over $70 ... why so much? A lady on the front desk jumped saying "because we did a teeth exam"! Exam! I switched insurance and was referred to this office by my insurance rep. Lady who booked me was polite and cheery. I made it clear that my husband and I run two businesses and early mornings are the only time we can swing. I came in for my 9am this morning and was told it was booked for 11. I'm frustrated because for one I would never make an appt timid day- I physically can't swing it because I have clients of my own... and I'm more frustrated because I had to move around my clients and appts for work to swing having a dentist appt today. At one point in my conversation I had an idea that maybe there was a mistake made with the two appts I booked for my husband and I.. but that just creAted more confusion and frustration. I cancelled our "appointments" and I'll now be going elsewhere. I'm pregnant and need a cleaning and screening before my next ultrasound next week and it doesnt look like that will happen now! I switched ins and had to find a dentist and saw that yelp gave them 4 stars so decided I would give them a try. I had an appt. at 11am so I showed up 15 mins early just cause I hate being late... The front desk girl was very nice and kept apologizing for the wait, so I felt at ease. Then when the girl finally got me to it was almost noon so I had waited for almost an hour for this appt on a Saturday! But that was not the worst part. When the girl finally came to get me she was not friendly nor personable... She led me to the dental room but did not tell me where I should sit.. So of course I assumed the dental chair... Then she mumble I'm going to take X-rays of your teeth... I said ok... Now I've don't this process more than once in my life so I know sometimes it's difficult to get the right angle of your teeth and you might have to redo it once or twice... But this girl.. Sorry I keep calling her "this girl" but she never offered to tell me her name or introduce herself... Well after almost 45 mins of trying and i mean trying to take the X-rays she had to call someone else in cause I was getting pretty annoyed... The other woman that came in was nice, talkative and very knowledgable... If I had her to begin with then maybe my appt would've been more pleasant... But anyhow... Finally that was done and the dentist came in... She was very nice and ran through my teeth exam very quickly an then gave me a cleaning that lasted less than a minute... I absolutely do a better cleaner everyday than that... Then the receptionist came in and told me I had to do all these things to my teeth and mind you I have gone to the dentist religiously... So at that point I book a next appt for a potential crown.. (I know stupid of me right!) but as the date approached I was like ohhh hell no I'm not letting these people near my teeth... So I called and canceled my appt and told them I would be going to my old dentist even though he is not in my network of dentists because the great care if get there is worth it.. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I chose this practice as it's close to my work. I went in today as a new patient and discovered that 2 other patients also had appointments at the same time I did. (After waiting 30 minutes while one of the employees managed to leave and come back with her lunch) When asked how many hygienists they have I was told 'none'! The one and only dentist cleans your teeth and the dental assistants take X-rays. The girl at the counter was inept and was barely audible when answering my questions. I asked how the dentist was able to clean my teeth at the same time as the other patient's teeth and also able to fit the third patient for his dentures......all at the same time? I was given some bs answer that was illogical and walked out. So, back to Westford where they run a great practice of professionalism.
