We had an awesome experience with Excellence when purchasing a car this week. I saw they had listed a 05 Subaru Outback, but didn't have pictures up yet, and figured I would pop by on a weekday to take a look. The car wasn't in stellar shape, but the price listed really reflected the condition, and the car did actually drive rather well, all things considered. They had just gotten it in on a trade, and it had not even been cleaned yet. The sales guy I spoke with on the first day, Aakash, was super nice, but wouldn't be available the next morning when I planned to come back with my husband, since it would be my husband's car. So, Aakash hooked me up with an appointment with Johnny C. for first thing the next morning. First, Excellence used the time after I left the day before to give the car a quick cleaning, which was much appreciated. Second, Johnny is a stellar saleman. He wasn't pushy, was friendly without being fake, and was up front about how the pricing would work. You see a lot of reviews on here mentioning the $2000 reconditioning fee, and although it is a regrettably high amount to charge, they really do the work on these cars. We were able to go back in the shop where they lifted the Subaru up on a lift so my husband could take a really good look at it (my husband used to be a car mechanic, which they were aware of, I don't think they would let most folks do this). While in the shop, we got a behind-the-scenes look at what their mechanics do to the cars they get in, and it is in depth and intense! They really do tear the cars down as much as needed in order to make sure everything is up to snuff. Still, always have a mechanic check out any used car you plan to purchase. Techs are humans, too, and sometimes they miss stuff. Because the Subaru hadn't been through this process yet, we were able to avoid the reconditioning fee, but the car was sold to us as-is instead. We paid the exact price listed online, the finance guy did not try to sell us on any extras once we told him we weren't interested, and the whole process was done in a couple of hours, from the time we came in to test drive to the time we walked out again. Johnny did keep the car for a few hours so they could at least give it a thorough cleaning for us, and then delivered the car to our apartment (we live all of about 2 miles from the dealership). I was SHOCKED at how clean they got the interior, and I am so thankful that Excellence saved us a few hundred bucks we would have had to spend on a good detail. See the before and after pictures, the passenger seat alone is shocking (the previous owner clearly had at least one dog that spent a LOT of time in the front of the vehicle). TL:DR: Excellence is good dealership, just be sure you know going in that there will likely be a reconditioning fee and always have a mechanic check out ANY used car you purchase at any dealership! an hour ago New I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership, and the experience has been extremely disappointing. Before the sale, they assured me the car had gone through a full inspection and maintenance service, something they charged $2,499 for. This fee was supposed to cover new or serviced tires, brakes, fluids, and other major maintenance items. However, when I got home, I immediately noticed the tires had severe dry rot -- something that would have been obvious to anyone performing even a basic inspection. I brought the vehicle back to the dealership expecting them to take responsibility, but I was told "the owner doesn't care and isn't going to pay for new tires." This dealership completely misrepresented the condition of the vehicle and refused to honor the very maintenance they charged thousands of dollars for. Their lack of accountability and customer care is alarming. If you're considering buying here, do yourself a favor and stay far away. There are plenty of honest dealerships that stand behind what they sell, unfortunately, this one clearly does not. read more

I would recommend NEVER giving your business to Excellence Auto Direct. This company engages in shady and illegal business practices. I will forever remember this company and its practices as the WORST auto related experience I have ever had up to this point in my life. Let me tell you why. Me and my partner are ready to move across the states in a little over a month, and decide to trade in out sporty Infinity Q50s for an SUV for the journey and new start. This dealership had something that looked like it matched what we looked for. When we test drove, there were no issues. Then we went to sign for the car and the cost was roughly $2500 more than listed. This was for some random "Customer care package" fee abt inspecting the car and making sure it was in good condition. Later we find out that 2500 inspection guarantee is bull****. We said whatever and paid for the car anyway, but when they rolled it out to us the check engine light came on and they broke the struts that lift the trunk. Whoops! They amended the contract to state that they needed to fix the engine light. So we left the car with them and got a loaner. After some days they "Fixed" the check engine light. We came and picked up the car to drive off with our fixed car when immediately after driving down the road, we received a new issue in that a passenger restraint system malfunction error kept popping up. We called immediately and they said to drive it for a while and if it did not go away they would fix it. We drove it home and not only did the annoying and safety concerning malfunction error pop every 5 seconds (making the console impossible to use + is a safety issue as we found out stops the airbags from deploying) but also the check engine light came back on for the same code. Over the next month is the same story of us going to this place over and over, them saying they fixed the car, us driving around and the exact same error code popping up, and us bringing it back to them. At this point in time it had been over 30 days from the sale date, btw, and we had still not received our title and the paperwork was not filed so the Texas DMV did not have on file still that this car should be in our name- which is ILLEGAL In that time they no longer honored the statement that they would fix the malfunctioning sensor which is a safety concern since the airbags would not deploy. The owner of the business stated this was "no big deal" and "not an issue" desperate to slap something together to make the engine light go away since that is the only thing paperwork suggested they needed to do. Not to mention, they also STOLE my OBD reader out the back of my car thinking it was theirs, resulting in another unnecessary hour long trip to this place. We have lost so much time and money dealing with this place and the issue is still not fixed. We now have to leave in just over a week and have brought the car to a BMW dealership to have a proper diagnosis on the car which reveals all sorts of problems which I will not describe here as to not make this even longer. These repairs totaled to over $20,000!!! (Remember that useless $2500 Customer care package fee?) But one wonderful thing they shed light on is the completely wrong catalytic converter that was put on the car. It looks as though someone took a random catalytic converter that does not belong, and welded it to the car, thus ruining multiple components and pushing the repairs into 20k. This is what the BMW mechanic told us and showed us and it looks to be the case. No wonder the code is still active. We escalated until they did the bare minimum to make the engine light go away. (but none of the many other issues with this car) This place never calls you back btw. Later we ran out of time and thus traded the car to family and made our journey to our new home with a different car within the following week. I will never bring my business here again. Long Story Short I live 6 hrs away and flew in for my purchase, They Charged me a fee of $2500 saying it was to fix things on the vehicle and an inspection. When I picked it up, there were factory parts missing, parts hanging off, a door that didn't lock or unlock, dealership estimated $1900 in parts and labor. I bought parts from eBay and paid the dealership to fix the door at a total cost of around $900 to me, sent them all the invoices/estimates and the owner offered me $200 then $400 I didn't feel that was fair and he hung up on me and will not talk to me anymore, that's been a month and still no communication or resolution, ill update if and when things change. read more

I hit the button where it says request more information because there were only a couple of not very detailed pictures (0 of the interior) on the website. My phone immediately started blowing up from this dealership calling and texting me trying to set up an appointment. I responded and said I am going to need to see some more detailed pictures and pictures of the inside before I drive two hours to this dealership. ZERO response when I said this. THE OLD BAIT AND SWITCH! I found a car on CarGuru's in March of 2025 and contacted the seller, made an appointment and test drove the car. Check engine light was on and windshield was cracked. Saleslady said it would be fixed. The $32,000 price as advertised was increased to over $40,000 for dealer prep, deferred maintenance and repairs?! THE "WE OWE" AGREEMENT!? Waited for weeks to take delivery only to find out that the windshield was very uncommon and needed more time to procure. PARTS AND SERVICE DEPT ARE TOTALLY INCOMPETENT. I reluctantly agreed with the owner and Finance Dept manager to their "We owe" agreement so I could take delivery. To this date I have not been reimbursed $800+ for the windshield replacement. OWNER AND MANAGEMENT ARE FRAUDS!! TAX, TITLE, REGISTRATION! Car was purchased on April 25, 2025. Finally after 4 temporary tag renewals I have received the license plate and registration on August 3, 2025. OFFICE STAFF IN ALSO TOTALLY INCOMPETENT! From start to finish, they demonstrated dishonesty, incompetence, and a complete lack of customer care. I went in to look at a Camaro, and the issues began immediately. The check engine light was on, but I was assured they would fix it along with everything else we pointed out. They promised to make the car "like new" before I took it home. None of this happened. The check engine light remained on, and none of the issues we discussed were addressed. I brought the car back for repairs, and they kept it for two weeks without offering a loaner. When I finally got the car back, they had put over 250 miles on it, and the check engine light came back on before I even made it home. I returned the car again, and this time they kept it for another two weeks. I had to call every few days to check on the status because no one bothered to update me. Kristy Gardener eventually admitted they were using aftermarket catalytic converters, which caused problems, even though she initially claimed they would use OEM parts. When confronted about this, she lied and denied saying it. The lack of communication was infuriating. Kristy would promise to return calls but never did. Texting her was no better--she rarely responded. On one occasion, I asked for the address and invoice number for the shop they used to install the catalytic converter. She gave me the wrong location (Bellevue instead of Bellaire Blvd), and I had to find the correct information myself after repeated follow-ups. The problems didn't stop there. I asked them to mail my plates and tags to avoid making another trip in bad traffic. They agreed, but when my temporary tags expired, I called and was told to come in for a new paper tag. After waiting over an hour at the dealership, I was finally told everyone had gone to lunch, leaving me and my hungry 3-year-old daughter to wait without assistance. When they finally returned, they handed me my regular plates and tags--the same ones they claimed they didn't have. They simply didn't want to mail them as promised. Now, a few months later, the problems with the car keep piling up. The AC stopped working, and the catalytic converter they installed is rattling due to poor workmanship. When I took it to Pep Boys, they showed me that the aftermarket part was failing and that holes were cut into the heat shield above it, which now needs to be replaced. Kristy insisted that the muffler shop they use does "great work," but clearly, this isn't true. Their shady business practices are unacceptable. They charge a $2,500 inspection fee to ensure the car is "like new," but they don't actually fix anything. They didn't replace the brakes as promised, and when I asked about the AC, they dismissed it by saying, "It's a used car, and that comes with the territory." This dealership is full of scam artists who overcharge, lie, and provide terrible service. While waiting in the service department, I overheard Kristy telling another customer that their car had bad injectors that needed replacement. Why wasn't this addressed before the car was sold? Excellence Auto Direct is just interested in making a sale, not in taking care of their customers or standing by their promises. I cannot stress this enough--DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. Although I was able to find a good deal on one of the vehicles from this location, I don't know that the purchase is worth the hassle I have had to deal with, not only with the purchase itself but with the customer service and processes after the fact. I worked with sales rep Jahari on the purchase of my vehicle, which was painstaking in and of itself. Right off the bat, he was condescending, argumentative, and short because I began asking questions about the condition of the vehicle and its price. Any time that I challenged or questioned him, I received sarcastic remarks and caught him literally rolling his eyes at me multiple times during the course of our conversation. Jahari provided little-to-no value during this process and I had to seek help from the business owner himself. Working with the finance guy Finas was great. Finas was helpful and patient. He gave us no issues. However, after purchasing the vehicle, I never received a phone call about my license plates being ready. I had to call the business and have them FIND the license plates and mail them to me, which took several phone calls to accomplish. Janet, who is over titles, was helpful on initial contact. I eventually got my plates. However, once I received them I realized that they only sent me ONE plate. Not two. I again called the business for assistance and was referred to Janet, who was less pleasant this time around. Janet stated that she could not help me get a second plate because too many days had passed from the time I had purchased my vehicle, and I would have to go to the tax office myself to get the plate. I again asked her if she could provide any additional assistance in the process, seeing as I never received a phone call about my plates. Janet argued with me, stating that she is the one who makes the phone calls and only calls once. I advised that I did not receive a call and had no messages about my plates being received. Janet then began yelling and talking over me, cutting me off, and refused to let me speak. When I asked to speak to a manager, Janet forwarded me to a line that sent me straight to voicemail. I called back to try and speak to a supervisor, but was given the runaround. I am beyond disappointed with the way things went with this place over all. They have some good cars on the lot, but just know that the customer service isn't there. Also, they don't tell you until you buy their cars that they add an extra $2500 to the cost for "dealer service fee" (that they refuse to take off) AND they will lowball you on your trade in. Trading in a 2021 Kia k5 for a 2021 Toyota Sienna. If I can tell you to avoid these guys at all cost please do! First the salesman wanted us to test drive it on a one exit to the next exit which isn't much of a drives. Manager (Matt) steps in. Matt was nice and let us take the vehicle on a real test drive. When we can back we told him the issues we had with the vehicle and he stated that he would take care of it. First there was a phone mount pasted on the media screen. He had his guys take care of it. We then mentioned that we were not comfortable with 3 tires being one brand and another one being different. He went to the back. Can back and said he could change them but they were new and they just had them changed. Okay no issue. Fast forward 2 weeks and the tons goes off. Call them because I haven't even gotten plates yet. They give me the run around but finally agree to look at it and take care of it. Another 3 weeks go by and I update my car fax tracker to see what has been done on the car. It says the tire rotation hasn't been done yet. So I take it to discount tire to get done they are nice enough to enough me that all 4 tires are down to 5/32 and will need replacing soon. If the dealer just replaced them then how. Contact dealer get nowhere. Contact Matt directly. Get nowhere. His answer is he will help me on the next one. This place is a joke for a dealership. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Edit....... Was sold the car at 28,000 miles. It's at 33,000 no and I'm at the Toyota dealership today to get checked out and they pop the hood only to find the engine cover not even on just hanging off and non of the maintenance done. My boyfriend and I, first time car financiers drove 3 hours to this dealership in the hopes to leave the lot with the 2017 Light Blue Ford Mustang listed on the web page. The original price of the car is 18 thousand however with fees the total came out to 22 thousand. Aakash Patel, the salesman that helped us came off rude and seemed un knowledgeable about the car itself. He told us that the car wasn't able to be financed with a credit score of over 700 ( classified as good on Credit Karma ) and a down payment of 2000. The entire time he insisted on a larger down payment. After hours of time wasted, Aakash informed us that we were finally approved through one single bank with a 3,500 down payment and the monthly payments would be $479 for 72months ( 6 ) years. The initial interest he showed us was at 6.9% APR however the approval he got us consisted with 20% interest. This changed the total price value of the car with fees from $22,000 to $38,000. The original price listed was 18,000 therefore the interest cumulative was 16,000. WTF. The intentions of this dealership were cruel and represented nothing but a scam. My time was wasted and my hopes were crushed by this greedy dealership. I am also very thankful I walked away when I did before I was taken advantage of by these older men. read more

the car we went to look at was a catfish. smelled like smoke, holes in the ceiling of the car etc, no problem still liked the car. my husband and I talked terms. for a car priced at 13,7 they wanted minimum 1500 down and like a $600 monthly payment. the car was trash and not really worth it. don't stop here first. look at DT first before wasting you time here. they have a lot of bad reviews for a reason. we wound up going to another auto dealership DT the next day and walked out with a shiny 2020 volkwagen Passat SE. no smoke smell and interior was extremely nice almost brand new. we drove our new baby home same night got there at 7pm and left at 8:30 with a lower down payment and monthly payment that included a TON of perks and couldn't believe how they were going to try to screw us at this place. buyers beware. read more

Spent 4 hours trying to buy a vehicle only to have them add their recondition costs of 10% at the last moment. The price is not the price. After further shopping I learned that many dealerships are carrying older and older cars and many of them are adding reconditioning costs to their published prices. After 20 years of dealerships improving their reputations with buyers, this feels like a step back. Just publish the price at which you will sell the car and then make some noise about it. I absolutely cannot recommend them. I took a 2015 Honda Fit for a test drive and inspection by a mechanic today. They tried to talk me out of taking this 'perfect' and 'practically brand new' car to the mechanic. Strike one. Strike two was where the mechanic put it up on the hoist and discovered that it was an undisclosed wreck. The frame was bent, the transmission (a closed system CVT) was leaking and there was damage to the front passenger wheel well. Overall, it would have been a mistake to buy this car. Strike three was when they followed me back to my own car on my return telling me that the transmission was still under manufacturer's warranty. No manufacturer covers damage caused by a front-end collision. Don't buy from them unless you have a mechanic check it over thoroughly before purchase, and even then, haggle like your wallet depends on it. I would recommend not buying a car from them at all unless you can pay cash, because you don't want to be left with a loan on a lemon and that's what they showed me--a lemon. read more

They offered me $43,000 for my car, came out after that we had made the deal and said we've changed our mind we will give you 35,000 for your car. They also told me, it was a one owner car, it was a three owner car. I am 74 years old, I have never been treated like this in my life at a car dealership, I have an 800 credit score, I traded in a car that's what they offered $43,000 car, avoid this dealership, like the plague. Where to begin. The first lie would have to be their motto, "We take care of our customers, no matter what." Like many other reviews I've seen after the fact is you can automatically assume the list price is 2500 dollars more due to a "car care package" they add on for getting your vehicle ready to sell. I went in to buy a Chevy Silverado LTZ and assumed it had adaptive cruise control. All the buttons and dash cameras are there, the steering wheel button to adjust for following distance was there, but come to find out 2022 models are hit or miss for the option actually being enabled. This was the only feature I was not willing to compromise on when looking for a new car. I had it on my previous LTZ package and yes, assumed it was there. When I came back to inquire what could be done, the salesperson even confirmed he thought it was on the vehicle as it's on all LTZ trims. All I heard from the service department was the truck was sold "AS IS" which I already understood. Another deception was the truck was advertised "Certified Preowned" which was then advertised to come with a 3 month or 4500 mile warranty. The warranty program showed to cover ABS Brakes, Advanced Electrical, Fuel System, Air Conditioner, Differential and Drive Axle, Electrical Systems, Fluids and Filters, Steering, Diagnostics, 24 hour Roadside Assistance, and so much more!! Well when I took my truck to a dealership to see if adaptive cruise control could be added or enabled, they scanned for error codes and it came back with a few electrical and camera issues. I took it back to Non-excellent Auto and now the Certified Preowned warranty doesn't cover V8s and only covers powertrain issues. The vehicle was also advertised as having a non-smoking owner, survey says, that was a lie!! This place is a joke. I haven't bought a vehicle in 8 years and was looking forward to getting something more up to date and keep most of the features I had on my Tahoe. So disappointed that to now get what I want, I would have to trade this truck in which will cost so much more at this point. read more

Was the thermostat replacement after I told them what to replace and how..I sent them the link to All-Data my Tech know that's a bad look.I am I tech for Chevrolet so I guess maybe that's why but that's still not a good look at all if they can't fix the common issue on a common MAKE, I definitely wouldn't trust them working on luxurious vehicles. This dealership is very shady. Other issues I had 3 blowouts in the first week I called to ask if they could get the truck reputable correct tires because they had cheap China tires on them! NOT RATED FOR HD TRUCKS RED FLAG!! I HAULED MY HORSES AND HAD THIS ISSUE THATS HOW I FOUND OUT. My horse has $350 in vet bills from a cut caused by one of these blow outs! I started it to test drive it and the check engine light was on I wasn't worried about it because I scanned it and it was the thermostat, so they told me they fixed it WRONG they cleared the code because they didn't know how to fix it as explained. Recap- ON GOING INVESTIGATION for possible $47,000 in Fraud charges. Check engine light on test drive. Check engine light on the way home from dealer after picking up two weeks after I bought it because it was in the shop for weeks (they gave me a tiny mini Tiguan to drive ( mind you they have my 2500 HD DIESEL in the shop my main income is supposed to be made by this vehicle so I was without pay for weeks driving a tiny car that wasn't even fully insured!!! There was a hail storm(IT GOT MY TRUCK WHILE IN THE SHOP I had to have MY insurance they told me I didn't need at the time cover THANKFULLY I went ahead and got it fully covered before hand!!!!) and they told me if it gets damaged in the storm even tho I CANT leave it with them for the storm (the rental) do not buy there's more but they aren't worth anymore of my time but you as a customer and person NEED a warning please be very very careful the photos attached are of the owner I have video but it's not allowed to be posted, this is my husband CALMLY (you can ask the GENTLEMAN of finance (he was as helpful as he could be but he can't do much when this is his boss. It can be confirmed that my husband never once talked over this man, he never raised his voice he sat calmly and as soon as he said the word "Fraud" he started screaming and throwing his hands and our paper work at my husband. This is the first time we have come in person to ask about this issue to get it resolved all we wanted was our money back that's all we asked for. read more

They lied on there CARFAX saying no accidents or damage yet there is frame damage on it. The mechanics fix the problem with the car barely just to get it to work temporarily. The owner is a conman please don't buy from them they don't hold up there end of the bargain. read more

SO.. two years after my purchase, as I was driving home one day my bumper came loose and fell off on one side of the vehicle. I took it to the auto body shop and THIS is what they sent me. Instead of replacing the bumper retainer clips, these guys at Excellence Auto Direct glued the damaged one back together!!! They never even disclosed that the vehicle had front end collision damage!! Absolutely terrible. Never do business with this dealership! First of all, they automatically add $2500 to their advertised prices when it comes time to get to the final price. Many dealerships do this, and not really my main issue. The big issue is after selling me a car, within a couple days and 100 miles the check engine light came on. I took it back and they told me it needed $6,500 in internal engine work, and they would not cover any of the work. They had given me a shop order where they had this same code and tried to do an engine oil flush to fix it. They reset the check engine light and sold it to me. So, they knew this vehicle had issues but sold it to me anyways and want me to pay to fix it. This is the second vehicle I bought here (first experience was much better, several years ago), and you would think they would want to take care of their repeat customers. Unfortunately that is not the case. The management won't even talk to me directly, they just send out the service advisor to deliver the news. Hopefully I can get the owners involved and find a resolution, but I highly recommend finding a different dealer that does not do business like this. read more

It's sad that I have to retract my review due to fact that the car that I was sold was a LEMON. My car has been in and out of BMW dealers since I purchased it. The first major repair was done a month after owning the car. I am still trying to resolve the issue with my car. I ended up with a car with a burned valve; pre-existing issue. I paid over $15,000 for a car that is now worthless. I contacted Matt Riahi, owner, who basically disregarded me. He will sell you extra options and sweet talk you, assure you that your purchase is secured. That is not the case! Excellence Auto Direct are scam artists. They turn over auctioned cars, clean them up and sell them without confirming the car is okay to sell. Boast of everything they can offer you, yet everything is null in void. I have a burned valve at 110,000 miles on a BMW. Basically over $15,000 down the drain due to this dealer, the owner, misleading me about the details of the car and coverage. I am currently in the process of filing a legal action against them due to my loss. One year, over $15,000 later and no car. I recommend that you stay away from this dealer... read more

Good customer service while purchasing. Horrible customer service once vehicle is in your hands. Don't waste your time here. After 4 months car needs $4000 worth of repairs, they sold me a car that was in a wreck and didn't disclose it and gave me a fake car fax report. I also believe they have fake reviews on google.Stay clear they sell salvaged cars. Look at the low reviews seems to be the same theme. Scam artists. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!! The owner does not care about custome servic. He just cares about making money. I now have to replace my transmission within 7 months and the owner is no help. The mechanic broke my radiator and tried to cover it up after replacing my radiator fan. I drove my suv for a week when it started overheating and I had another mechanic tell me they broke it and tried to use glue or something to cover it up before I called them out on it. I have a paper trail of many different parts breaking down on my vehicle. This company uses deceptive measures to get you in to buy a vehicle.
