Received a prompt response from Leo, with a very reasonable estimate for repair and offered some no charge extra servicing.(lube, spring check, motor check etc). Making a convenient prompt appointment went smoothly, as did the repair process. Was completely satisfied with Leo and Safelift. Showed me another, observable problem, but with no hard sell for him doing a possible future repair. Gave me name of the part re in case I wanted to personally purchase from any source. So a few days ago, the house I acquired a few years, the garage door started to act funny, getting stuck etc. After asking around for recommendations I didn't get a wholehearted one so I turned to yelp. I read a few reviews of this establishment so I decided to give a try. First, the person who answered the phone was friendly and understanding as I was describing sounds and all that's not professional jargon but he got the drift and told me that someone can come the same day to take a look. I didn't expect that but was delighted. The two young men who came to check the problem were Mateo and Alex, nice young men who are professional and courteous. They check the problem and explain to my hubby and myself of the problem and also they didn't try to pull a fast one over us by trying to sell us a brand new system ( which I cannot afford at this time anyway). They came back the next day promptly of the time they promised but ran a little late because of the traffic which is understandable because we are in Bay Ridge and they had to go over that terrible bridge traffic. Once they are here they went straight to work and they even cleaned up afterwards!!! They offered to remove the old stuff that they replaced. They even got me two additional remotes and programmed so I didn't just have one which my 15 yo almost lost it once. Overall I would highly recommend them again and I found out they also do commercial gates too so I will be reaching out to them when that time come for my business.

I found this company here on yelp and was drawn in by all the positive reviews, believing it to be a reliable local person. Ken came to my home to provide a quote for my two-car garage. He is polite and very nice on the day of the quote. I did not get a second quote and went with him because my husband likes him. I confirmed the price via text message, along with the model number for the two-car garage. He answered me with "Correct". However, when installation day arrived, I was surprised to find out that the quoted price was actually for a one-car garage. I understand that miscommunications can happen, but it was disappointing to receive a different price on the day of installation, especially after having confirmed it in WRITING! Everything I said is the truth, I just don't feel the need to put up a screen shot of the text, you can use your own judgment. What made the situation frustrating was the lack of a genuine apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. If he had approached the situation explaining mis-read/ rushed reading the text message, I would understand. I urge anyone considering this company to be extremely diligent.
