The Owner is lying as usual; my approval of the original estimate on 12-03-2018 was through their ripoff portal(Tekmetric) and not verbally; there is no dispute about the approval of the original estimate; the dispute is about EXCLUSERVICE falsifying the estimate by adding additional entries that were not present in the approved version, and insist otherwise. If anyone has amnesia, better yet Schizophrenia, it was EXCLUSERVICE's owner, since he failed a basic IQ of reading and understanding his own estimate document; look at the estimate you gave me, and see the discrepancies. If you continue to insult, we will go to court and subpoenas all the documents and phone records. You are a pathological liars and not suited to conduct business with the public. One more clue to why these people are criminals: the estimate shown at the shop on 12-04-2018 has two lines for labors as "Authorized on 12/04/18 at 10:28 AM EST". The second page shows "warning transmission problem" "Declined on 12/03/18 at 12:03 PM EST" and the "additional (Sic) Water Pump"(that should have read Auxiliary Water Pump) "Declined on 12/03/18 at 12:03 PM EST". Following the imbecilic owner's argument, How can the works be declined on 12/03/18 while page one is showing the works "Authorized on 12/04/18 at 10:28 AM EST", time at which I have verbally declined the works? ----------------- Start of Original Review --------------- Beware, this shop is a CRIMINAL organization. If there is an equivalent of an OSCARS for a Deceptive Trade Practice(DTP) or simply FRAUD, it should be awarded to EXCLUSERVICE of Rockville MD. On 12-03-2018, I towed in a 2008 BMW 750i, that was showing "Transmission fault"; the car will reset when turn off, and resume working until around 72 miles, then the error will appear again. EXCLUSERVICE sent me via text message an estimate for the repair; the text message has a link of an URL, opening the real estimate in a browser. In the estimated dated 12-03-2018 at 11:28am, which I approved, contains two lines of repair: The transmission problem and the passenger side vents blowing cold air; the estimate to repair the transmission was $4075.00(rounded). I approved both works on 12-03-2018, via the portal(tekmetric) provided by EXCLUSERVICE. On 12-04-2018 at 9:04am, the service person from EXCLUSERVICE called me: the first statement from him was "First, I have some bad news for you ..." he went on to state that the transmission repair is now at $8255.91; I asked to call him back. I called him back at 9:23am to inform him that I am declining the transmission and the heater repair works; he further advised that the car will be ready in the afternoon for pickup. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was presented with another estimate that has 3 additional entries; one entry was the control arm bushing, which I requested an estimate for earlier in the morning. The other entries are for labor, at $193.49 for each issue, which I have not be informed of, not seen on the estimate on 12-03-2018, nor authorize. Notice that I respect paying for the labor in inspecting the car. The issue is that I was not informed of the cost, nor was it shown on the original estimate. The shop owner attempted to convince me that it was on the estimate for 12-03-2018 all along, while it was not. The content of the estimate at Tekmetric was changed, after I have declined the $8000 plus transmission repair; recall that the repair I authorized was half that amount. On the estimate that was showing on 12-04 with the two estimate fees, the second page has an entry showing the control arm bushing declined on 12/04/2018 at 10:28am; do you see the first sign of fraud? if the estimate, as EXCLUSERVICE claimed was the same as on 12/03/2018, why is there a 12/04 decline on it? this is one slight proof that the link to the URL in the text message is the same, but the actual content of the portal was updated on 12/04 at 10:28am and 12:03pm. Beware of this shop, it is a gang of Fraudsters that you should not take your car to. I repeat that this shop is practicing a sophisticated form of Deceptive Trade Practice, and you will not be able to catch it. The Service Manager is the leader of the gang; if you are already engaged with the shop, take a careful note of every document. Remember that the original text message containing the link to the estimate will not changed, however the content of the estimate will change, and the shop will maliciously claimed that you approved something that you have not seen. This place was good, it has taken a turn into the shady side. I went in for an AIR Conditioning problem and had the worst experience ever. I gave them details of what was happening and they insisted they could not take my word, diagnostics had to be run by them. I was not clearly advised that if they touched my car the only option was to fix everything they recommended and that possibly my car would end up worst. They gave me a report in which the air conditioning was "Road Tested", pardon me by there is no road testing required of air conditioning. The report clearly stated a new blower and resister were tested and it was not the solution, the blower motor is the problem (recommendation was for a new one too). Their conclusion was that everything needed to be changed, but most importantly the Breaks Flush service was required for a total of $2,900.00 and its important to say that this was not provided in writing. I said my problem is air conditioning - they refused to price the cost of air conditioning service only because they insisted everything air conditioning and brakes service needed to be completed. Later, the best they could do was $2,700.00 with after market parts with a limited warrantee of 90 days. In the end, I found the tactic of being cornered into having more work than I had requested a terrible nightmare. I asked to have my car back; but they would not restore my car to the condition I took it in, stating if they did not fix everything they had to drain all refrigerant out of the car before giving the car back to me. I was charged $230.08 a discounted price for the "work" they had done. I ended up paying for what I would describe bailing out my car because nothing was repaired. In fact, they gave me the car as a mobile oven since without all its refrigerant, the car is blasting hot air on the interior (again, in the middle of a heat wave). When I called back to state they make the situation worst, the service man repeated the all or nothing position and the best he could do was to offer of $200.00 dollar discount but they would use after market parts with limited warrantee. They offer a complementary loaner car; which I initially thought was a benefit, but then I saw the dirty old - disgusting car, it should have been at least get cleaned before offering it to clients. In brief, look out for their unethical tactics to corner you into more work in order to make money. read more

Another great experience at BMW Excluservice. I've been coming here for years, some of the faces at the front desk has changed, but the service techs have not changed. Stephane who was the manager before is now the owner. He has kept with Lothar's philosophy (prior owner) of taking care of customers. Many times i've gone in there without an appointment with one problem or another and Stephane has helped me get in and out and back on the road. Just last time I went in I had an oil change done and when I picked it up I had a noise coming from the right rear after driving about a mile. I turned around and brought it back in to them...The front desk called the shop foreman who brought it in right away they also involved Stephane. It was amazing to see this in action, it's as if the entire shop dropped what they were doing to take care of an upset customer. As it turns out I must have picked up a piece of gravel that got stuck between the brake rotor and a "Backing plate?" (not sure on the name) when I drove through a construction site just down the road and it got caught behind the wheel. They pulled me out into the shop and showed me where it had gotten jammed. What impressed me most in this experience is the fact they had no idea if the problem was something they did or I did... They approached it very professionally and their focus was on the problem not whose fault it was. Even though it wasn't their fault they resolved it at no charge. Stephane's reason for not charging me was that this may could just as easily have happened when they test drove it and he apologized to me even though it wasn't his fault. I've been taking my current BMW to BMW Excluservice for servicing and maintenance since the day I purchased it in 2006. The customer service is outstanding - they spend a lot of time communication with you from the time you first book your appointment, through the period of diagnosing your car. They provide pictures and a summary of findings, and let you know how much it will cost and how long it will take to complete any work you want them to address. To be candid, these guys are not inexpensive - but the reason I keep going back year after year is because they really know what they are doing, and when they complete a repair on my vehicle, I am confident that it's been done correctly. I've obviously come to the conclusion that the I'm willing to pay a bit more for their expertise to ensure the right repairs are completed, and their work is going to hold up. Paying for repairs is never fun, but I can tell you that every time I get back in my car when I pick it up from BMW Excluservice it's like getting into a new car again - and that is fun. My recommendation - If you just need some generic work completed, such as a filter changed or a new battery, you can likely find a less expensive place to have these kinds of issues taken care of. But for any BMW-specific diagnosis, maintenance and repair work you should give these guys serious consideration. They will find and fix your problem and get it right the first time. While it has never yet been required for me, I'm confident they would follow-up on anything that didn't fully meet your satisfaction and make it right. read more

My father's, grandmother's and my car have all been serviced at BMW Excluservice multiple times. There has not been one dissappointing outcome. Every time I have gone, I am always welcomed by Stefan and Oscar. I can relax and have peace in mind that my car is being taken off by the best of professionals. The staff are always detailed when performing maintence or dealing with body work.They even solve problems that VOB BMW couldnt resolve. BMW Excluservice will even drive you to the metro once your car has been dropped and have someone pick you up from the metro to retrive your vehicle. One of the gurantees that you will not find any where else, is that BMW Excluservice treats you like family. If you want a guarantee, then BMW Excluservice is the place to go. I have to say, these guys have been around for a long time, they use to be a really exceptional place. but I am deeply saddened by there lack of professionalism. The owner, I believe is named is Lothar, doesn't really come around much anymore so the place is pretty much self run, he comes in when he wants... Overpriced. Overpriced. Way tooo expensive for service, I can say your paying almost the same going to a dealership. I can say the only thing that is good about them, and I'm not sure if has changed or not in the past year was there parts department, they have decently priced parts. Half the time they don't even pick up there phones. I think Lothar needs to get back in there and turn it back to the shop that it used to be known for. read more

In February 2012 I asked Lothar to do a premium detail on my MB CLK320A including painting, engine detail and interior detail. When I picked up the car it looked as if it was straight off the show room floor. It was gorgeous! I later learned that Lothar had personally overseen the entire operation and approved each step only when it met his standards (and if you don't know, his standards are very high).
