I visited Calamigos Ranch using Resort Pass and it was worth every single penny. This resort and…read morespa is the perfect staycation for anyone looking for rest and relaxation set in the backdrop of the beautiful Malibu Hills. When you first enter the spa building, you are welcomed by a kind receptionist who will lead you on a tour. There is complimentary fruit, teas, water, and snacks at the front. There are also complimentary lockers and fully stocked restrooms (towels, shampoos, hair brush, razors, and lotion) both inside the and outside. Inside there is a beautifully maintained cedar wood dry sauna and a relaxation room with heat mats, blankets, and Himalayan sea salt wall. Outside there is a pool, hot tub, cold plunge tubs, and loungers, which were clean and well-maintained. Weekday mornings are the best--very little people, so you basically have the space to yourself. Past 4pm, there will be lots of families with kids splashing around. There is pool service with food and cocktails--nothing special, but makes the experience feel extra luxurious and relaxing. The grounds and decor are so special, so make sure to walk around to check out the lake and outdoor event venues. Pro tip: The pool and sauna are a little difficult to find if you've never been there before, but there is a designated parking lot past the general entrance to the road on the left.

TL:DR--events are phenomenal, but steer clear of the hotel side…read more We had the wedding of our dreams...and then got robbed by housekeeping on the morning after our wedding. Management eventually made it right, but it was like pulling teeth to get there. Customer service during our second stay was lacking and we wondered if it was because we didn't look like we had money. Our wedding was absolutely magical. It was a little odd that we didn't get the bridal room to get ready until after noon for a five o'clock wedding, but my parents got a suite on-property for my girls and me and it was a good time. As far as I know, our other vendors didn't have any issues setting up, and the staff I met at the wedding were incredibly kind and helpful. It was a beautiful day and we can't recommend the events side highly enough. Unfortunately, the hotel side of things left lots to be desired. My parents were five minutes late to pick up my wedding dress and my husband's suit from the estate suite, and when my mom arrived, the dress had been stuffed in a HomeGoods bag and thrown out on the patio. The same thing happened to my husband's suit, and when we checked his pocket, $300 cash (wedding presents from our grandfathers), a bookmark, and the sixpence from my shoe had been stolen by housekeeping. It took my mom a hot second to find a manager who cared about making it right, and to his credit, Mr. Jacinto was very kind and apologetic. They did comp the entire stay and gave us a free night to conclude our honeymoon. It was nice enough, but I've stayed at other properties which had much better service for the same price. Many staff members were kind, but the concierge was in no hurry to help us with our bags and we wondered if it was because we rolled up in an older Jeep and didn't look wealthy. It all left a funny taste in my mouth, which made me sad. It's a beautiful property and I wish things had gone better.

We also got a vanilla latte and a cappuccino, and both were really good. Our waitress, Evy, was so nice and attentive. What really made my morning was when she brought my husband and me our waters, she also brought our doggie Lola a water bowl. I absolutely love when humans acknowledge my dog and make her feel welcome it means so much to me! We even ordered her a doggie beef patty and she loved it. I also thought it was so cute that they gave us the sugar in a little stick to dip into our mugs. Such a cute little touch! The restaurant is located in a cute little shopping center with plenty of parking all around, which makes it super convenient. We got to see Craig T Nelson the actor. He was sitting with his family and golden retriever. That was linda cool. Overall, we had a wonderful breakfast, great service, delicious food, and Lola was treated like a little guest too. We'll definitely be back!

I ordered the special omelette and my husband had the spinach quiche. Both excellent!! We will be back for the quiche. Im giving 4 stars for having $8 iced tea...sorry I understand having high prices in that location but fine dining restaurants don't even charge that much. Great spot besides that.

The staff that I did get to interact with were very helpful and friendly. It was 86-90 degrees out but definitely felt like 100 degrees. We got seating outside with an umbrella but we were dripping in sweat. FYI there are no fans or other equipment to keep the guest cool. The portable bathroom was much cooler inside than outside. The winery itself is beautiful with stunning views. There are plenty of photo-op-worthy places as well. The pizza was expensive but the quality was great and there were enough slices to go around for 4 girls. The white wine called honey pie was my favorite (I am not very knowledgeable about wine, so just keep that in mind) Overall, I think this place was okay. would try this place again but maybe during the cooler seasons.
