It looked perfect due to its saltwater pool and gorgeous photos online. There were so many great reviews...what could go wrong? We booked the guest house as some of the other options that were less pricey did not have pool access according to one of the owners. So we paid the extra couple hundred for the pool. We arrive and all seemed as described in the guest house. Within the first hour my daughter was crawling anround and picked up a cigarette that was on the floor just under the couch. No big deal. We unpack and head to the pool... The pool was green, smelled, and was cloudy (nothing like the photos online). I message right away and get a text back indicating the levels were tested that day and were fine. Hmm. At this point I didn't know what we could do other than make the best of it. We decide to make some food as we were told the kitchenette included a convection oven. Nope nothing but a microwave. So we order take out instead $$. My son wanted to roast marshmallows bc I told him there was a fire pit outdoors. We head over and it's filled with leaves. This was also the case with the outdoor bbq. Not a big deal but we didn't spend the money to clean the amenities, and we were worried about the smoke if we left the leaves. On our last day my son opens a little decorative box in the living room to find a green rotten string cheese yikes! It is important to note the guest house has sliding glass doors at the entrance of the guest house. Directly in front is where guests of the main house will park. Our view was of 5 cars and there was a lot of activity so we had to keep curtains shut the entire time. FYI- There is no sink for washing dishes or baby bottles. We had to make do with the bathroom sink. Once returned I let them know how the stay was and I was told they found out the pool had been clogged and they were out of the country. They offered a discount next time which was appreciated but I honestly feel we should have been compensated. I sent a text and emailed my thoughts but am getting no response. They were quick to respond when it came to booking and taking my 500$ deposit. I'm so bummed about this experience because it is a beautiful place if it were maintained and if the pool were safe to put the kids in. Last photo is of us making the most of it on the rock :)

I was looking for the perfect house in Malibu to accommodate my 30th birthday celebrations and we…read morewere so lucky to find this house! It was exactly the getaway I was dreaming of. It is located on PCH in central Malibu with a small, beach right down the street that you can walk to which was so convenient. The house comfortably fit myself and 7 others (4 couples in total). 3 of the bedrooms are located in the main house and the 4th bedroom is located in a separate 'apartment' attached to the garage - great for someone who loves privacy. One of the hosts met us to check-in which made the process very smooth. She was able to walk us through the house and let us know everything we needed to know for our stay. The house was equipped with kitchen utilities, toilet paper, bathroom items, etc, along with some great amenities - pool table!, grill, three balconies, TVs, chess table. The hosts were very communicative with any questions we had, as well as checking-in on us. The views of the ocean are incredible - great place to watch the sunrise or sunset and spot some dolphins. I can't recommend this house enough! It's a great place for couples, families, friends, celebrations - anything! I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much!!! xx

I'll kick off by saying that the location is fairly easy to get to from the freeways, but it's…read morestill a bit of a trek from most of the major attractions around Los Angeles. Because of this, the price feels a bit on the steep side, especially given the outdated bathrooms and showers. The pool was absolutely freezing too much to enjoy. One thing that really stood out as a bit of an eyesore (and honestly quite off-putting) was the overflowing dumpster. I discovered there's only one tiny bin for all the campers, and during our stay, it got so bad that it looked like people were chucking their bags of trash into the recycling bin. On the plus side, the people were friendly, and the groundskeeper was fantastic. He even took my trash bag and got rid of it for me so I didn't have to go anywhere near the mess. I noticed he was always on the go, making sure everything around the campsite was clean apart from the trash area which had really no hope. All in all, this is a place I'd consider as a stopover to break up my journey, but I wouldn't make it the main destination nor an extended stay. We've experienced better amenities for this price at other private sites.

Thank you Sam for getting us back/ forth to the Cruise Ship. I would have given this place 5 stars…read moreexcept for one hiccup, the company had no idea where the Los Angeles Port was located. That should have been research prior to picking us up. There's 2 ports that cruise ships leave from: Long Beach (typically Carnival cruise) and San Pedro, where the majority like Princess, NCL, etc leave. While driving the 110 freeway, our driver started going over the bridge toward Long Beach. I had to correct him and he made a U Turn to San Pedro. He admitted it was his first cruise drop off, so I had to explain the 2 ports. That was a rookie mistake on their part. Otherwise, Sam was on time, texted me regularly on his status, and gave us VIP treatment to the cruise. 7 days later Sam came back for us. I texted him the possible pick up time of 9:00 to 9:30 and Berth 93, and we were out a little earlier than anticipated. He arrived around 9:15, and pulled up curb side. I would recommend meeting the pick up person near the "handicapped accessible" area, which is right by the gate leading to the bus and exit. It was less congested, and easy for an SUV to pull up right away. 4 stars for this service. Price was reasonable and service decent. Still room for 5 stars.
