Seafood pasta and Hong Kong style catch! This spot is a great place to visit in Malibu if you love seafood. The Hong Kong style catch is a steamed fish with ginger and scallions, served with a side of broccolini -- simple, fresh, and delicious.

Very beautiful restaurant, relaxing with family and friends in Malibu right off the coast

Soup of the day - tomato bisque

We came here last night for a family birthday dinner and had a great time! Even though it was a bit chilly, we decided to sit outside and enjoy the Christmas decor (they have a huge Christmas tree that's all lit up in the grassy area). They had heat lamps so we were all able to stay warm enough. Our server was great - he checked in on us the right amount of times- responsive but not constantly checking in. We ordered a round of cocktails, then a couple appetizers to start. I got the soup of the day, which was a tomato bisque. It was so creamy and delicious - it really hit the spot on a chilly winter evening! We also got the mushroom flatbread and an antipasto/charcuterie platter to share with the whole table. We had 6 adults and 1 toddler so those were the perfect size appetizers for all of us. For our main course, I got the chicken breast. My husband ordered the lobster linguini, and we got the shrimp mac n cheese side dish for our daughter. The chicken breast was really good. It came with the skin on, and the skin was nice and crispy and flavored with lots of herbs. It sat atop delicious creamy polenta. I tried a bite of the lobster linguini and that was also really good. It came in a tomato-based sauce. I also stole a few bites of my daughter's mac n cheese. The cheese on this mac n cheese was so extremely stretchy that we kept getting tangled up in the long cheese strands as we tried to take bites with our forks, but the flavor was outstanding! I would have enjoyed the mac n cheese as my own dish, that's how good it was. Finally, we ordered dessert. My husband and I ordered the chocolate mousse cake and the cheesecake and we shared. They were both delicious. The cheesecake had a hint of some kind of tropical sauce - maybe guava? And the chocolate cake was rich, decadent, and everything that chocolate lovers could want.

We happened to be in the area, got hungry and found Kristy's.. sooooo glad we did! We were reading the menu and saw a lot of our fave Hawaiian-esque dishes on the menu.. coupled with Three Plus' song Honey Baby on the speakers gave us aloha feels for sure!!! My husband got the loco moco which he loved. Since I'm plant based I ordered the tofu tomatillo.. YUM!!! We sat in the outside patio that has sun and shaded spots. The restaurant was clean and inviting and the staff was warm and welcoming. We loved our server Sonia she was attentive and sweet! It wasn't cheap BUT totally worth it to us. We will definitely be back when we are back in this area.

Chicken albondiga soup was very tasty! Perfect for this 55° degree weather.

Tried this place for the 1st time my family and I will definitely be back! Service was great - heads up, they cook their food in peanut oil BUT unlike many places, they can make certain food with olive oil YAY!!! NOTE: The regular fries with the tri-tip 'wich were also seasoned with garlic & rosemary. I ran out of allowed characters rolling so I couldn't include that on the pic.

Aloha all! Long one here. Let me tell you something about Kristy's cafe. Not only will you find some of the most tasty, special and carefully curated food...you will find the beautiful decorations, the attentive and smiling staff, the selections of beverages and warm atmosphere delivers an excellent experience all around. Talking hospitality, I'm personally a fan of business owners being on-site and engaging with customers versus sending customers up a corporate ladder if any discrepancy. Both big and "small" Another big home run is seasonal live entertainment. Chinese New Year 2024 attached below. Talk about diversified this place is a must go for date night. Don't have much time and need a quick stop? Kristy's will have you back on scenic pacific highway with everything you need in no time.

Wonderful vegetarian options at a beautiful location. Visited this beautiful, brightly lit, modern farmhouse style restaurant on a Sunday afternoon at around 2pm. It's located in an adorable outdoor shopping center with plenty of parking. Our wait was less than 5 minutes. We were seated outside on the patio that overlooked the center's courtyard. The vibe was relaxing and social. The patio was dog- friendly so we were able to admire the well behaved furry patrons. The menu had a wide array of options. There was atleast one vegetarian option in every category. We opted for the Beyond Burger, the Surfer's Delight, a pineapple juice and Earl Grey Tea. Our drinks were delivered quickly and presented well. The pineapple juice was frothy and very mild. It was a tad too watered down for me but still good. Our food followed in a timely manner and was artistically plated with bright colors and a "K" imprinted on my burger. Portion sizes were adequate. The Surfer's Delight was much larger in portion than the burger. Both were tasty. The Beyond Burger patty was thin and moist. The bread was smooth and light. The onion jam really added a unique flavor to the burger and set it apart from other BBs I've had. We added tomatillo to the Surfer's Delight... Wow! Our server, Sonya, was friendly, helpful and super busy. I'm surprised there weren't more servers working. I felt bad watching her running around. I throughly enjoyed my visit and will return to try the other vegetarian options. The Acai bowls and smoothies are calling my name!

There's basically nowhere to enjoy your wine besides your assigned seat, service was all over the place, and communication between staff was nonexistent. I ended up spending around $150 on pretty mediocre pizza and probably another $150 on wine, and the manager, Robert, was unnecessarily rude on top of it all. Safe to say I won't be returning. P.S. They have a nice interior build-out with a huge wine bar, but it was a nice evening and we elected to sit on their spacious patio. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by Sarah, who is the bartender and also manages a couple of nights a week for the owner. Sarah is super friendly, explained the menu and provided great table service. They have a large wine selection. My wife ordered a chardonnay and I stuck with an Arnold Palmer. We ordered their bruschetta appetizer, served as six pieces of toasted bread and the expected toppings. It was a perfect start to our meal. We were not super hungry, and selected a three-cheese charcuterie board. You are able to select your cheeses, and Sarah again helped us make our decision. It was perfect for a summer-weather afternoon (although in March) and we chatted, had our drinks and picked at the board until it was gone. During our meal, Sarah was very attentive to our needs. My wife tried another chard, and we ordered their banana dessert, which had great flavor and was a nice end to the meal. This is a great place to quietly enjoy some wine, beer and food. They have a good sized menu and offer a brunch menu on Sundays. (Diane, Sarah needs a bonus, she made the evening much fun).

You probably wouldn't think of one in Valencia, would you. Well, I have been to all of the above and I am telling you, you would be missing out on a one of a kind, out of this world experience that can be had any day of the week at Kindred Spirits, adjacent to the Hyatt Regency. No, I didn't expect it to come anywhere close to the stratospheric experiences you could have were you to choose any wine bar you fancied, but, the minute I got inside, I knew I was in for an unforgettable experience that I will want to repeat. First of all, it's downright beautiful. Flawlessly decorated with a chic living room vibe with just the right elements to suggest a curated museum-level sensibility. See my pictures as well as all the others here on Yelp. I spent the entire time noticing little details like the plush velvet banquet, the clubby wing back arm chairs, the art deco artefacts and furnishings, paintings, sculptures, even the ceiling lights were unique and obviously carefully selected. And then there is the stupefying wine and spirits menu that goes on and on. I rarely drink anything alcoholic but I couldn't pass up a taste of one of the exquisite sparkling wines that caught my eye. There is a full range of everything. If you really must have beer, it's there, but! For heaven's sake, try something elevated -- ask for recommendations. You won't be disappointed. However, the star of the entire experience is the menu. Now, remember, I am a lifelong vegetarian. I had fun limiting myself to four choices -- I could have had more were I not on a perpetual diet. You can see what we ordered in my photographs. Each dish was superb, really, first in class. Nonetheless, take a good look at my photographs of the Autumn Apple Tarte -- it is the g.o.a.t., believe me. Not only did it taste celestial but notice the tiny flowers? The chef, Priscilla, is a highly skilled and trained artist, her medium just happens to be delicately flavored and arranged plates of heaven. And Sarah, our attendant took a concierge approach to caring for us. A cosmopolitan playlist provided a lyrical backdrop that just made everything flow like silk. Parking is easy, simply use the Hyatt Convention Center parking lot adjacent to a verdant golf course or their garage, for free. There are two main rooms and we asked for the "lobby"-like large room with a giant table that we had all to ourselves, given we were there in the late afternoon on a Sunday. Even so, clientele were coming and going. It was the golden hour and we were draped in a warm light and cozy but uplifting spirit. The entire experience was flawless. And the tab? Ridiculously reasonable. You may not be headed to Rodeo or Saint-Germain-des-Prés or West 27th street any time soon. So, instead, treat yourself to this epic wine bar. You will thank me, when you do.

Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Do better Manuel, you alone got your place of work a 1 star. The rest of the staff was kind, facility beautiful and food and wine was good. This restaurant is not reflected in the 1 star.

You can create your own custom charcuterie board with all your favorite pairings, then explore their impressive menu of fresh salads, melty paninis, and shareable appetizers made for lingering conversations. We shared the custom charcuterie board and avocado crostini's. Both were delicious and perfect for sharing. As for the drinks, whether you're a fan of sipping wine by the glass or sharing a bottle, they have an impressive list of local and foreign wines to pick from. Also, for those of you that aren't huge wine drinkers, I was also impressed to learn that they always have at least 10 beers rotating here. We started with Chardonnay and Moscato and ended with some Southern California beers, we agreed their selection was great. As for the staff, everyone was super welcoming and attentive! We came on a busy weekday night as they had a wine tasting event going on yet the staff still managed to get everyone served promptly and drinks were always refilled. Definitely a place where you initially come for the wine, but stay for the vibes. I'd say overall this spot truly is a 10/10 - 5 stars. The food was delicious, great menu, nice staff and a good selection of wines. I'd even come back for lunch just to grab a panini and to sit on their patio. If I had to give one critique, I would say that the spot is just a little pricey. So this wouldn't be a regular stop per se, but I loved it so much that I honestly will be back soon and keep it in mind for a special girls night, etc. Also in fairness there is a way to come here and have it be cheaper, maybe just one glass of wine and a sandwich or app but we all know I go big lol. Great spot, will be back.
