We moved into a home with all Viking Appliances. Nice....until something goes wrong.... Looking through the Yelp reviews of companies that Viking recommended for repair, Executive Appliance Services, looked like the best of the bunch. Being that I needed an outdoor kegerator looked at, it took a few days before they could schedule someone to come out, as it's a specialty product. But hey, if you can't survive a few days without cold beer, then the problem is yours.... Sure enough their technician Rafael was on time and very friendly. Turned out that he had serviced the Viking appliances in my home before from the previous owner and knew the history of them, which was great because I was trying to decide if I should repair or replace. I decided to repair the kegerator when he told me it was the thermostat that had gone bad, which wasn't uncommon for the age of the unit.. It was $100 for the diagnostic, which could be applied to the repair, if I wanted them to fix it. Since the part had to be ordered, it was another few weeks before it could be installed, but Rafael came back out as soon as it was in. He did a quick job, and now as I'm writing this review, I'm enjoying a nice cold beer from my keg. Thanks Rafael! I hope I don't need to use you and Executive Appliance Services in the future, but if I do, you have a repeat customer for sure. read more

I have been trying to get my stove repaired since May. Every time they send someone out, they tell me they cannot fix it because they either need another part, or they need two people, or they can't figure out what to do, or they order the wrong part, or they cancel, and on and on.... I'm only dealing with them because I have invested money for the multiple parts that they have ordered for me. Today they were supposed to finally come and fix it and they cancelled! They can't reschedule me for another 2 weeks! I am beyond frustrated with them. Also, every time someone comes out, it is a different technician basically starting from scratch. read more

Dealing with this company is very frustrating and, ultimately, completly unsatisfying. After waiting 5 weeks for a replacement part that three different employees assured me the part was on order I was told that no part had been ordered! I was then told the company was "too small" to worry about a "one part customer". You would be wise to find another repair company. read more

After months of putting off some repair work on my Viking fridge, I decided to call Executive Appliance repair. They were recommended by Viking customer service as a local authorized repair service. I expected to get hosed on the repair work but to my surprise they were more than reasonable and honest. Eric and Shane were awesome to deal with and really took care to carefully explain the process and repair. Best of all, their prices were fair compared to other local companies I received quotes from. Most importantly they knew what they were doing rather than feeding me BS about additional repairs to run up the bill. All I can say was that it was a breath of fresh air to deal with a appliance repair company as honest, knowledgable, and competitively priced as Executive Appliance repair. read more

We moved into a new place in Dana Point in 2019 and our Dacor refrigerator was making a loud buzzing noise. I called Executive Appliance Services on June 23, 2020. They said we needed a new control board that was $631.98 plus labor and tax $905.96. They put it in but the noise was still there. They came back again and said we needed other parts that would stop the noise and, they would use the credit for the control board. I have been waiting and calling monthly - believe me they all know who I am there as I have been very gracious just curious as to when the parts will be delivered each time I call. Never an ETA. They tell me they need to tt the parts guy . Finally when I called 3/11/21 they said the parts are not available bc Dacor got bought out by Samsung and they can't do anything for me. So, I requested a refund for the $631.98 and have been waiting and spoke to parts gal and she said she would speak to the operations mgr and call back. Called again today and was sent to her email and I left another message. This is alot of money that I would like back and expect a check but may never receive. I will not be using this company for any appliance!!! read more

I had a problem with the hinges of an oven door, and the microwave turntable motor was making noise. Executive was professional and thorough with setting up the appointment and with associated communications. I cannot speak highly enough of this company. From the first phone call to the date of service everything was a delight. Ryan McDonald was our service technician and he was an absolute sleuth figuring out how to fix our Ventahood. Aside from being thoughtful and tidy, he is smart, conscientious and kind. I called Executive Appliance Services after another company came and tried to fix the hood. That technician spent an hour on it and threw his hands in the air proclaiming that he was "done", then left. Ryan patiently checked, rechecked, hunted, thought and figured it out in less time than the other company took to load his truck back up. I called for service last week on my Viking fridge... it suddenly wasn't getting cold enough on the fridge side and the "door open" alarm was on constantly. The woman took my info and said someone would call me back in a few minutes. In fact someone did, and scheduled an apointment for between 2pm and 5pm that same day. At 3pm the technician called and said he was 20 minutes away. I went home to meet him. Along the way, a woman from the office also called to make sure I knew the technician was on his way. William showed up, shook my hand, came in and took a look. Within one minute he diagnosed a bad door switch, causing the lights inside to stay on creating heat AND causing the door alarm to go off. He said he may or may not have a factory switch on his truck and out he went to take a look. He was back in a flash with the switch. About 15 minutes later, I had a working fridge, a very reasonable bill, and a smile on my face. Let's face it... no one likes to call for appliance service... but if you need work done, I'd recommend these people. My experience was painless and problem-free. read more

I was forced to deal with Executive Appliance after Viking, the manufacturer of my refrigerator, issued a product recall with a replacement part that they contracted with Executive to switch out. My wife made our appointment for today and we were told that the service techs would be here between 9 and 11. I took the morning off to wait for them. When they hadn't shown up by 11, I called and was told they were still at their previous appointment but would be here "within the hour; well, maybe a little over an hour." At a little after noon I called again and was again assured that they would be on their way. I said to the lady who answered the phone, "I hope they're not taking a lunch break between service appointments, because I took the morning off for this service." She assured me that they do their service calls BEFORE they take their lunch breaks. Finally at almost 1:00, the two guys show up. They claimed that they had no idea they were supposed to be here between 9 and 11, and that they just do what they're told, which in this case was to make me the third service stop. The guys were nice and apologized several times for my frustration, but at that point the damage was already done. I was forced to miss a meeting because of their tardiness. After they left, I noticed that the time "9 to 11" was clearly written on the service ticket, which I signed before they left. I guess the service techs don't read the service tickets. Either that or they were clearly using the office personnel as a scapegoat at my expense. I will not be using Executive Appliance for any future service needs. I'm sure there are other Viking authorized service centers out there that would at least give me the courtesy of a phone call if they aren't going to be on time... read more

These guys are a joke. If you want a last-minute cancellation 2 hours before the appointment window, call them up and book. They will set up an appointment, call a day before to confirm it, and then promptly cancel the day of, after you've worked out things to take the day off work. Pretty much anybody else is a better deal. read more

they are very expensive cost $650 in labor to put in a new compressor in a viking frig. it worked and still cheaper than new frig. appliances are effy but they got the job done. read more

I have no idea which is worse... Executive Appliance or Dacor. I didn't have a choice as the parts were under warranty and EA was what Dacor gave as certified installer. The 30 day warranty after service is ridiculous. Most other give 90 days. Earlier this year, I had some service done. Even with parts under warranty, the service was quoted as $1200 for a few hours work. Gouging? You bet ya! After about 35 days, the freezer started leaking and freezing water and now have to defrost every 3 weeks. I am terrified to call these guys again! The people are cordial but their business tactics are much less than desirable. Dacor is another joke of a company and I strongly suggest not buying their products with almost all facets of their existence not worthy of being 'high end'. I'm shocked they did not die in the financial crisis but maybe their lack of investing in service and support saved them. read more

Ryan from Executive Appliance fixed our Viking dishwasher today. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it immediately. While he was here, I mentioned that I was having problems with my oven range as well. It was still under warranty, but Viking required a serial number to activate the warranty. Both Viking and Pacific Sales (where I purchased the oven) told me to look for the serial number on the oven door. When I told them it wasn't there, Pacific Sales said the only other place it could be was behind the oven, which made it difficult since it is a built in oven. When he heard this, Ryan lifted one of the grills on the range and found the number immediately. He even fixed my problem on the oven range without having to arrange a separate appointment! Great service, and a really nice person. read more

We have had constant problems with our Viking refrigerator and finally we called to have it fixed. Within 2 hours of our call, a repairman (Joe Vargas) came to the house. He was extremely polite and friendly. I had explained to him that his company had been out before to help me with this and our fridge has had ALL KINDS of problems. What I thought was going to be an extremely difficult and expensive repair, Joe not only spent almost two hours adding a new part and cleaning out the issue in our freezer but said he would honor the warranty since we had so much trouble. We have had the fridge since 2013. All I can say is I am thrilled and I highly recommend Joe and EAS. read more

After calling the store where we purchased our Electrolux appliances, we were told to call Executive. I spoke with Susan and she promptly and courteously gave me all the facts and 2 days later the parts came from Electrolux free of charge. Getting an appt. time was the tricky part because of my difficult work schedule, but they were more than accommodating. Ryan the technician was more than pleasant! We have an 18 year old viking dual oven and neither oven was working. After having 2 previous repairmen attempt to fix it and fail, I was Thrilled that Joe from EAS was able to repair them. He quickly assessed the issue, he had ignitors on his truck, I needed 3, he replaced them and cleaned up, he was efficient and professional from the start! The service dept. is out of touch. So while my family is taking a vacation, I have to wait for the service guy to repair my dishwasher because they won't schedule a 3:00 p.m. appointment. The service scheduling dept. has now taken two months to repair my dishwasher which can apparently ONLY be scheduled on my days off (holidays). The absolute worst customer service. We have a brand new Viking 7 series that was installed less than a week ago. Has not been working properly since. They sent someone to come look at it this morning. Their tech came and looked at it for less than 20 minutes. Hardly looked at the oven. Then left. When or chef arrived today to cook lunch for our 20 guests the oven was again not working. It was set to 550 degrees for over an hour. I called back multiple times trying to seleciaget someone out here to fix it. Selecia who answered the call laughed at me on the phone when I asked to have someone come back telling me know all the tech's were busy. The absolute worst customer service. Each time I have asked for an exact time or person who will be coming here they tell me they don't know. I then asked if there is another company. Apparently this is the only Vikingrepair in my area... so I guess that's why they couldn't care less about their customer service ? Very disappointed that such an expensive product is not stood behind for quality control. read more

I have been a customer of Executive Appliance for over ten years. I have been waiting for almost three months to have my Viking refrigerator fixed, despite three service calls. The original service call required a special part order that ended up being the wrong part when it was installed about two weeks later. I then waited over a month for a "special order" part to be delivered to Executive Appliance. I got tired of waiting and was able to order the part myself and have it delivered within 24 hours. When Executive Appliance arrived to install the part, I was informed that the fridge had been misdiagnosed and that a different part was needed. Even better, I had paid for express shipping of the part for nothing because the technician brought the same part. Today I called and spoke with a manager (Gina) who told me she would get back to me this morning. 5 hours later and still no response. They have lost a long-time loyal customer. read more

After Seventeen problem free years, a "Vacuum Coil" light appear, (I have been cleaning it at least once a year but the light had never come on before). I Called Executive Appliance Service for a maintenance check. I thought the compressor ($1200 quote) probably needed replacing. The Technician Rafael R. arrived on time as planned. I expressed my compressor concerns. He checked the refrigerator, and informed me everything was fine and there was no need to replace the compressor at this time. All that needed attention was a "reset" on the Vacuum light which he did. Wow! A professional, competent, polite, and HONEST technician. That says it all. read more

Their tech (Ryan) arrived as scheduled, listened to my explanation, took a look and diagnosed the problem. Called on this company to repair our Sub Zero refer. We already had it diagnosed and knew what the problem was and what parts were needed. They quoted a price for the repair with labor cost of 750.00. They stated that it was a sealed system and it was a difficult fix. At this point we assumed it was going to be a several hour repair ( must be for 750.00 right? ) They did come out in a timely manner ( the 1 star ) and fix the refer. The problem being that he was there less than an hour! Are you kidding me, 750/hr for labor! I spoke to Felicia in the office who was very rude ( hung up on me once) and explained why I was confused with the price. I then asked what their hourly wage is and conveniently they don't have one. She said we agreed on the price and that was our fault. She is right, if I would have known it was less than an hour to fix I would have laughed on the phone and moved on. She brought it to the attention of the Operations Manager Zach. He backed her answer. Well, they have lost a customer for life and probably many more after this review. That alone shows how bad their business practices are. Zach, the manager wouldn't even speak with me! What a coward. Move on from this company and you will be glad you did. Avoid these guys. I lost the broiler function in my Viking so I got them from Viking. They charged $130 to diagnose the problem - "you need a new motherboard installed." OK, if that does it, then what choice do I have? After 3 weeks of waiting for the motherboard to arrive, William is back to install the motherboard. It's $585 for parts and labor ($195) but I DO get credit for the $130 I already spent to be diagnosed. I'm not buying Viking anymore either. read more
