Exodus is a great place for amazing food! Been wanting to give this a try, so went on a weekday night. It was not crowded- I counted 18 customers. Restaurant has both tables and booths and noise was nonexistent. We ordered the crab cake (it's two pieces) and it had a Texas flair with black beans and corn adornments with a slight jalapeño kick. It was delicious. One entree was the Leslie chicken with pasta. Very tasty and very creamy. Another entree was the pistachio crusted sea bass served over a bed of creamy risotto. What stood out to me was the flexibility and service. I asked to swap the chicken for salmon on my salad and they didn't hesitate, they just made it happen. Finally went to Exodus. It was raining sideways on a Sat night. Really enjoyed it. Great food, staff and place. Yes is is a steak house in a strip mall but when you step inside it takes a moment or two and then you get into the place. It's is marketed as a steak house and I did have steak but it more like a mini cheese cake factory menu. They have steak, lamb, fish, sashimi, sushi rolls, pasta and burgers. I had cucumber asian salad which was great and then filet with peppercorn sauce and wife had lamb. Both came with very freshly grilled veggies and mash potatoes. The steak was cooked to order and well seasoned. The asparagus was not over cooked tender but still had some crunch. We had some wine and then liked it so much we had chocolate cake and some after dinner drinks. They have a very solid bar tender and I have supplied a photo of the old fashion. I think you have adjust your brian a bit as we did spend some money - but no less or more than if we have visited Saltgrass or gone to Pappasito's or any big chain and ate like kings. So it's just not what you expect in a strip mall off Brasewood- but in a very good way. They have a large sushi selection and dedicated small sushi chef station. I am going to go that route next time. We will be back and bring friends. They also had live jazz. read more

AMAZING times 2. This little gem in Bellaire has made quite an impression on our group. We recently had a Galentines dinner there and they did not disappoint. James was our server and let me tell you he made our evening so enjoyable. He had a large area to cover but he made us feel like we were his only table. Great job to the staff who welcomed us with open arms and let us celebrate in style. Service was great Food was impressive and don't even get us started about the desserts. Chef came out to our table and we let him know it was delicious. They even allowed us to decorate our table with themed items and all the extras. We had a game of "share our favorites" and then we had dessert. We don't live close but it was sooo worth the trip. We will be back for sure. I was highly impressed by this bar and grill from the moment we entered on July 3. Beautiful Texan ambiance and they were well prepared with waitstaff for the band playing at 6. The happy hour offers a variety apps and cocktails, wine, beer at reasonable prices. We were promptly greeted by the pleasant waitress and I ordered calamari. It came so tender with flavorful whole rings and generous portions. The chef goes all out to make sure the quality is there as well as the presentation. We were treated to hearing The Gale Evans band. People kept coming in and the place filled quickly with diners and yet the staff took on the challenge of ensuring everyone enjoyed the experience. Came here for a birthday. Parking is plentiful and free. When I walked in I was hit with an unpleasant smell that usually accompanies sushi places which was confusing because I didnt understand where the sushi came in. The menu is a smorgasbord of food types including sushi, burgers and pasta. My burger was delicious and I was excited to receive true steak fries even though they were cold. My food was served on a platter in the shape of Texas which was unique but also slightly impractical to eat on. The Mac n cheese was creamy and delicious but the mushroom risotto was gelatinous and unpleasant. All in all the service, Mac n cheese and burger were good (I didnt try the sushi) though I would recommend doing something about the sour smell and maybe update the interior. (The waiter was also really sweaty which was odd and probably unsanitary) read more

This restaurant is very unassuming from the outside as it's a part of this small plaza and tucked in between all these other small shops. The inside is quite small with a mixture of booths and tables, each with a white tablecloth covering the table and cushioned seats. There is a bar and a small performing area where there are 2 gentlemen playing live music throughout the night (while a nice touch, it did get a little loud during the meal where it was hard to hear the person next to you). It was a Saturday night at 7 pm and when we came, there were only 2 tables and a few seats at the bar occupied and only 1 other couple came after us in the 2 hours we were there. I'm not sure how the business looks on other days but we hoped it wasn't always this empty because we worried about the restaurant surviving. The service was exceptional - Russ was such a pleasure and he had a very natural way of explaining things well and even gave us a free plate of pita & humus since it was our first time dining here. The menu had an interesting mix of sushi and American food. The calamari was crispy but we wished the marinara sauce was a little more thick so that it could be more easily scooped by the calamari. My boyfriend really enjoyed his burger (couldn't stop thinking about it even 2 hrs later) and the steak fries were well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and not too thick of slices. I opted for the seafood risotto which came with shrimp, clams, mussels, & soft shell crab. The shrimp was a little too blackened, there was barely any meat in the crab, and some of the shells of the mussels were broken where there were bits of broken pieces in some of my bites of risotto. My parents found both their bolognese and chicken fettuccine to be a little too salty. All in all, the food was decent and the service was quick and attentive - would give it more of a 3.5/5 if I had the chance. read more
