Finally went to Exodus. It was raining sideways on a Sat night. Really enjoyed it. Great food, staff and place. Yes is is a steak house in a strip mall but when you step inside it takes a moment or two and then you get into the place. It's is marketed as a steak house and I did have steak but it more like a mini cheese cake factory menu. They have steak, lamb, fish, sashimi, sushi rolls, pasta and burgers. I had cucumber asian salad which was great and then filet with peppercorn sauce and wife had lamb. Both came with very freshly grilled veggies and mash potatoes. The steak was cooked to order and well seasoned. The asparagus was not over cooked tender but still had some crunch. We had some wine and then liked it so much we had chocolate cake and some after dinner drinks. They have a very solid bar tender and I have supplied a photo of the old fashion. I think you have adjust your brian a bit as we did spend some money - but no less or more than if we have visited Saltgrass or gone to Pappasito's or any big chain and ate like kings. So it's just not what you expect in a strip mall off Brasewood- but in a very good way. They have a large sushi selection and dedicated small sushi chef station. I am going to go that route next time. We will be back and bring friends. They also had live jazz.

AMAZING times 2. This little gem in Bellaire has made quite an impression on our group. We recently had a Galentines dinner there and they did not disappoint. James was our server and let me tell you he made our evening so enjoyable. He had a large area to cover but he made us feel like we were his only table. Great job to the staff who welcomed us with open arms and let us celebrate in style. Service was great Food was impressive and don't even get us started about the desserts. Chef came out to our table and we let him know it was delicious. They even allowed us to decorate our table with themed items and all the extras. We had a game of "share our favorites" and then we had dessert. We don't live close but it was sooo worth the trip. We will be back for sure. Great job to James and all the staff at Exodus..... you are doing it right

My husband & I were traveling thru Houston and found this wonderful restaurant. We started with a couple cocktails (mixed vey well) and I had the chicken & my husband the short ribs ... both were delicious. Even the veggies were scrumptious!!!! Everything was just perfect . Cheesecake & coffee drinks to finish .

Salmon was delicious. Cooked well - to perfection. Had the spinach as a side in lieu of the bok choy. My friend had the chicken fried steak and was very pleased with it. Service was excellent. James was super attentive. I loved the ambiance. They did a really good job in creating a very intimate atmosphere but still very welcoming for everyone. Parking is an extra plus because it is located in a strip mall. We had an early dinner so it was not crowded which was perfect.

(5/5) - An Unforgettable Hidden Gem! What an experience!! From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left, this place delivered pure magic. As soon as we stepped inside, the owner greeted us with a huge smile and said, "Reservation for Blair?" - instant VIP vibes that made us feel like regulars on our very first visit. We hadn't even settled in before the chef himself swung by our table with a complimentary appetizer: fresh, house-made Pita Bread & Hummus that isn't even on the menu. Warm, fluffy pita straight from the oven paired with the creamiest, garlicky hummus I've ever had - it was AMAZING and set the tone for everything to come. The menu is a glorious mash-up of comfort classics, smoky BBQ twists, and even sushi (!!), and every single dish blew us away: * Smoked Brisket Bolognese - Tender, slow-smoked brisket in a rich, meaty sauce draped over al dente pasta. The smoky depth took this Italian staple to another universe. * Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo - Silky, garlicky cream sauce clinging to perfectly cooked noodles with juicy grilled chicken. Pure comfort food heaven. * Leslie's Monterrey Chicken - Whoever Leslie is, she's a genius. Grilled chicken smothered in melted cheese, crisp bacon, and just the right kick of peppers. Juicy, flavorful, and downright addictive. * Chicken Fried Steak - Golden, crispy crust giving way to fork-tender steak swimming in creamy pepper gravy. Southern perfection on a plate. * Red Dragon Sushi Roll (shared with my son) - Phenomenal! Spicy tuna, crisp tempura bits, and that perfect drizzle of eel sauce and sriracha mayo. Fresh, balanced, and a total surprise standout on a non-sushi-focused menu. Everything was made fresh in-house, you could taste the love and attention in every bite. The owner and chef checking in personally made the night feel special, not just another dinner out. If you're anywhere near this spot, RUN don't walk. This is the kind of family-run gem that reminds you why dining out can still be an absolute joy. We're already planning our next visit - thank you for an incredible evening! (Pro tip: Make a reservation - this place deserves to be packed every night!)

Had heard great things about Exodus so had to check it out! We went for a casual family Friday dinner. The ambiance is chill, comfortable, great energy as well visually appealing. Our waiter James made our experience even more enjoyable with his fun playful spirit and excitement in the menu! He gave us great recommendations on the extensive and eclictic menu. So we started with carne asada fries, chargrilled cauliflower along with the California roll and spider roll. Every dish was delicious but the chargrilled cauliflower can we talk about this! Perfectly chargrilled cauliflower on a bed of creamy hummus drizzled with cranberries and chimichurri sauce ! Highly recommend!! So full of flavors!! For main dishes we had the smoked brisket bolognese, sashimi, the Branzino special, yellow tail sashimi, the maya sandwich and last but not least the pistachio crusted sea bass. All of the entrees were outstanding and full of flavors! The portions were ample. The presentations of the dishes added to our experience. We did share a piece of the pecan pie was so good they should push them at thanksgiving! All and all this new neighborhood bar and grill is a do not miss! I understand they also have a nice happy hour!! I personally cannot wait to go back and try new dishes along with the cauliflower

Returned to have sushi-only dinner after my first experience with this hidden gem. We had the Big Bruce, Oved and Spicy Tuna Croquettes. I canst say enough about how outstanding the food was. The Sushi chef is exceptionally skilled and the quality of the rolls is top notch. A place like this is a sleeper - small neighborhood joint with a huge menu and a simply outstanding chef and staff. Highly recommended.

I ate at Norigami Tuesday night and it was great as were the cocktails served up at the nextdoor bar called Hidden Bar. On Tuesday, I tried the Thai Chili Ginger Margarita ($13) and it was great, complete with a hunk of candied ginger which I "gingerly" consumed throughout my drink experience...see what I did there? Next, I had the Three Dots and a Daiquiri ($13) with Rum, Lime, Velvet Falernum, All Spice and Pineapple and it was very similar to one of my favorite tiki drinks, the Three Dots and a Dash, complete with 3 luxardo cherries. To finish, I had the absolutely incredible Golden Laurel ($16) with Gin, Italicus Bergamot, House Greek Botanical Bitters and Sea Salt. It is equally beautiful served with a clear bay leaf and delicious. Last night, I was guided by the friendly bartender to try the Et Tu Banana" ($15) with Banana Bourbon, Spiced Pear, Creme de Banane, Campari and Citric Acid. I was a little worried about the cocktail being overly banana-y but it wasn't at all. It was a fantastic drink. For my last call, he recommended the Left Hand ($13) with Bourbon, Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Chocolate Bitters. Again, fantastic. Both nights, the bartenders and drinks were fantastic. Ambiance is nice with moody lighting. They even have a bidet toilet seat in the bathroom! Hidden Bar is a "hidden" gem, for sure. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

First, the vibe. It is warm, stylish, and very Montrose in the best way. It feels elevated but still relaxed enough to just sit, talk, and enjoy your time without feeling rushed. We came during happy hour and it was such a great deal. I ordered the Sweet Like Peach Tree, which was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with the peach and ginger. My husband got the Frozen Paloma and it was just as good, super smooth with the right citrus bite. We also shared the churros and they were honestly a must order. Warm, crispy, and paired with Nutella and caramel. What really made the experience stand out though was our bartender, Manny. He was incredibly welcoming from the moment we sat down, had such a great personality, and made the whole experience feel personal. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that kind of service is hard to find. He also told us about their upcoming two year anniversary party on May 3rd with rotating live DJs, which sounds like it will be such a fun time. We will definitely be back. Our group walked in and sat at the bar while two other guests sat nearby. The bartender immediately took the other guests' order first, then casually asked us "what do y'all want" while continuing to move around behind the bar. My friend paused because it genuinely wasn't clear if the bartender was listening to us, and the bartender responded with attitude saying, "I'm listening." When my friend ordered a Hugo Spritz, the bartender responded with "what?" and then said she only knew an Aperol Spritz. That's completely fine, not everyone knows every cocktail, but the interaction became unnecessarily rude from there. Instead of simply asking about the ingredients politely, she came back with an attitude asking us to look it up for her, and then became defensive saying "I don't know what the issue is" even though nobody had complained or created a problem. The entire interaction just felt dismissive and unwelcoming. We ended up leaving almost immediately because the energy was so uncomfortable. Hospitality and attitude matter just as much as the drinks, and unfortunately this experience missed the mark completely.
