i went in this week for a pedicure with my boss who has been a long term customer for years. they did not know we were together. Krystal did my pedicure. Mind you, we were sitting next to each other. They started on my boss at 9:30, me at 9:40. Her pedicure continued until 10:06 uninterrupted. Mine started at 9:40, pouring hot water from a pitcher directly on my feet 3X. She literally worked on me - total of 9 minutes between answering the phone and talking on her cell and everything else she could have done. Yet, you charged us both the same amount of money. My aunt and cousin are always raving about Exotic Nails, so when I received a gift certificate, I knew I had to go check it out. I wanted acrylic nails with gel polish, and a gel pedicure. I used my gift certificate to purchase an acrylic full set as well as the express pedicure. It cost $15 to add gel polish on to my pedicure, which is a much more expensive rate than the other nail salons in the Hamilton Town Center area. I did not originally want gel on my toes, but the nail technician insisted upon it because I didn't have flip-flops to wear while the polish dried. She told me that gel lasts longer, and I will put that to the test. Hopefully it wasn't a waste of my money. For being the cheapest option, the express pedicure still offered lots of nice treatments like a sugar scrub, cooling gel, and a massage. They used a hot towel to absorb the cooling gel off my legs, which was a refreshing sensation. I was impressed with both the experience and the result of my pedicure. I liked everything about my acrylic manicure (especially the UV nail dryer built into the table!), except for the placement of the fake nails. I thought the nail technician put the nails too high up on my actual nail instead of lining them up with my cuticle. They looked nice when the manicure was finished, but the week after, the nails have pushed up and revealed my actual fingernail, making them look too artificial. I probably will not return to Exotic Nails on my own dime, but it was a nice salon to try while I had a gift certificate. read more

If I could give this nail place negative stars I would. I have been here couple of times but every time I regret my decision. I have decided today I will never go to this place regardless of how desperate I am. I had acrylics and I wanted to get them removed and get gel polish. The lady who did them did such an awful job. And when I told her I wasn't happy with my nails, she said it was because of my nails lol. I get my nails done alllllll the time and I know it's not because of my nails. They redid my nails and the Second Lady did a little better job but she was so rude. Also cut my skin. Did not say sorry and was just down right rude. I don't think some of the workers are licensed. I called and asked for a pedicure with Heidi and they said be here in 30 to 35 minutes. I set the stopwatch on my phone so that I would be there at the right time. When I arrived, she said she was finishing someone up and sat me in a chair and filled up the hot water. When I left, I had been sitting with my feet in the hot water for 50 minutes and she was doing everybody but me. I told her I didn't feel well and I'd like to make an appointment because she's good at it but clearly too busy and she said she doesn't do appointments and to just call and if she's free she'll do them which is literally what I did today. and she is telling me this in front of the entire store scolding me and she told me I can always go to someone else. I'm like whatever bye because I have tried all of them and when I spent $60 on a pedicure and they don't rub my feet or they don't let my feet dry and they make me leave and tell me the my toes will dry in sun or leave smudges... It is very frustrating. So when Heidi did such a good job last time, I wanted to go to her again. I even tipped her extremely large last time, like I finally found a good pedicurist, but if she's gonna treat people this way and tell me to come in and then make me have my feet in hot water for almost an hour without any attention and just keep saying, I'm next... I'm not coming. Treat people better. I have Lyme disease when I go out, I need to get what I need done and get home I don't always feel great. So I just wasted an hour and a half of my day to get extremely hot and agitated and come home with nothing to show for it. I am extremely disappointed especially because I purposely tip well last time so that she would be my pedicure person. Terrible customer service, and all the others are not good at pedicures so time to try somewhere else. if I could give zero stars, I would. This was the worst customer experience at a nail salon ever. Today was my second visit to Exotic Nails Spa. I've been a walk-in both times, but haven't had a long wait. I got a dip manicure. The nail tech (I had the same one both times) does a very thorough job, and is helpful in picking out colors. (The first time I went, I wanted something neutral and was having a really hard time picking something out.) If you are looking for a super relaxing, spa type environment, this is not the spot. But they do a great job, and the HGTV that's playing is entertaining. read more

Brought my mother here the day before mother's. Leon did my mom and my mani's. We got a dip. These pics are day of and today after 2 weeks. Gonna go back tomorrow and have them done again. Only going back already because of the gap from my nails growing and how long they are (I type all day and am slipping all over the place now). Was extremely happy with how he did. My mom was disappointed that we didn't get a hand massage like it says we should have received with a mani. We also got pedicures with gel polish. We were very happy with that experience. After my 5th time going here instead of my previous nail spot, I can confidently say that this place is my new favorite. The ambiance is so calm. The music playing is relaxing, the whole place is marble countertops and luxe comfy chairs. They offer refreshments and there's always HGTV or the food network playing silently on their TV's. They are kid-friendly and have kiddie sized pedicure chairs with princesses on them. They offer a variety of services, but the one I'm here to rave about is their dip nails. I have natural long nails and they do a great job taking care of them for me. They also haven't broken any nails in taking off old polish and putting on new polish, which is a relief to me! I've also gotten gel here, but the dip powder is what they excel at. I also love their pedicure menu and you can truly customize what kind of service you get, which I appreciate. I've been going to this place since it opened a few years back. And the service really has plummeted. I was a walk in customer and I ended up being a walk out customer. I just wanted a manicure but no one was at the front desk which is fine, that's normal. But all of the manicurists and even the owner just looked and stared at me. No one asked what i needed which again is fine they are busy but I stood there for 15 minutes and no one spoke to me so I left and went to a better salon. Its okay but i wouldn't return again. The technician was nice i think. He was very soft spoken. I asked for medium coffin nails i wanted solid color and an accent color on my ring finger. He said okay and he gave me short tapered squares. They are uneven and slanted as well. When he went to drill they used unclean drill bits that had been sitting in nail and polish dust in a dish and he cut my pinky while filing. When he went to paint them he started to give me a french tip with my colors and when i explained he fixed it. He grabbed two green colors and wanted to layer a dark green sparkle then put a lighter color on top. Both greens were not the color i picked. When his coworker got up and handed him a sparkly green i said can we just keep the dark green. All in all im content with my manicure but my mom paid for it and was not happy with her nails. It was $53 for a gel full set per person. She asked for black french tips and the lady cut her cuticles with the drill, didnt give my mom her correct length and she painted the tips so thin you can see her natural nail underneath. She also didnt get the correct colors she wanted. The feeling or "vibe" was unsanitary with all the old nail shavings around me. I wouldnt go back considering my experience. read more

This used to be my go to place but not after today. My pedicure was rushed and the technician was digging roughly at my nails and ripping off skin. They were cut unevenly and too short. Then the polish job was just sloppy; I could have done better myself as home. I'm disappointed and pretty concerned about infection after having so much skin ripped out. 5 days later, still in pain, one of my toenails is falling out, one is infected, and one has developed an ingrown toenail. I took my soon to be 7 year old here last night and we both got a gel mani/ pedi. The staff were wonderful, kind, and great technicians. They gave us each a soda and offered suckers to my daughter... which made her so so happy! I just had my nails done here and I wish they looked like the ones they advertise on their Instagram. Mine look horrible. The acrylic is cracked towards my cuticle and the polish is lumpy. She wouldn't fix them and embarrassed me in front of every one there. (The men seem to do a good job, but the woman is rude and does a bad job). Unfortunately, we won't be going back here. This was my first time at Exotic Nails Spa after passing by and stopping by a week later to get my nails looking good for an event. I was impressed at the cleanliness of the business. The floors, baseboards, and the pedicure basins were very clean. I chose the pedicure special and the service lasted an hour! It was very relaxing and worth the money. I also got my nails dipped in powder with a tip added. The nail tech worked extremely fast yet I got exactly what I asked for. I will definitely be a regular at Exotic Nails Spa now. I came here because my normal salon (Anthony Vince Nail Spa, go there!!) was booked. The nail tech spent as little time on me as possible and when I pointed out mistakes to her, she blamed me for hitting my nail on the way into the UV light- which I've done before and it doesn't have the same effect as oil on water, like my nails look now. She went back and fixed the one I pointed at, but left the others as is. At this point, my friends are both done and waiting on me. I just told her it was fine because I was sick of waiting. I normally don't stray from my usual nail place, but my sister and I met for some shopping in the area and decided to try out Exotic Nails Spa. From the time we walked in, we were impressed with the cleanliness, professionalism, and friendliness here. It was a Sunday afternoon, so they weren't very busy, and we were able to get in with no waiting at all. Their manicure prices are so reasonable. A basic mani is only $15, and a deluxe only $25! My sister got the dip powder, French mani and her nails were perfect. My niece chose gel, and she was super happy also. They have nice TVs on the wall, and soft music playing. There are two chairs for children's pedicures. They have a large selection of colors for gel and dip, pretty much anything you could want. I'll be returning for my pedicure this weekend! read more

I'm sorry I just don't like it when places don't allow you to tip on your credit card. - My last nail place started this too. As a customer I should be able to pay and tip in the most convenient way for me. It's part of my experience and feeling forced to use their ATM to withdrawal cash just annoyed me. At least there are no fees with their ATM. The people are still nice and the work and atmosphere are great just make sure you have cash when go there. Great first visit! This place is closer to home than regular salon so I figured I'd give it a try. I'm very happy I did. Their prices are competitive with other places and they offer a lot of variety in their pedicures. Everything from basic to super fancy. My nails broke by the 6th day. One was crooked. They didn't last longer than a week for the dip. My nails were rough at the end of the tips. The worker went to start the dip on me, and ended up working on someone else that said they were leaving. Decided to revisit and treat my mom to a pedi and a mani/pedi for myself, but just as quick as I walked in, I walked out due to zero customer service!!!!!! My mom & I walked in and instead of being greeted with a simple "hi" or "hello" I got "what service are you wanting?" I replied with a "Hello!" thinking I would get one back. Nope! I got "what service are you wanting?" I said "hello!" a second time. Fast forward. On the third one she, I'm assuming is the owner, gets up and comes over to the desk and asked me the same question. I kindly told her how rude it was to not greet customers when they enter and even more rude when the customer says hello and it's not acknowledged! She claimed she didn't hear me. The staff was completely rude and acted like they could not understand what we were saying. Here's my story: the nail polish & file were wiped out from the end of my nails after ONLY 6 days of the service I received from this place. When I went there to ask them to fix it, one of the women working there told me: go back home and do it yourself "in an angry voice" and loudly in front of other customers!!!! I will never go back to this place anymore :( I left this place and came to a very nice salon with polite employees. I only get my pinkies painted, its just what i like to do. But even if i got polish on all my nails they still would look terrible. The lady who did my nails was super sweet and got me a Dr.Pepper, she was really patient with me when i was describing what I would like. I would love to give this 5 stars, however the nail polish itself is preventing that. The design was super cute, however within the first few days the top coat peeled off and now it looks a little funky. I was looking for a new nail salon and this one was great! I called and they were able to get me in as soon as I got there. I believe the woman who did my nails was Crystal, one of the owners, and she did a fantastic job! They do charge $5 for nail shapes that aren't square (normal at most salons), but she also charged me another $5 for the length of my acrylics, which is my only complaint.
