When I questioned this, the man admitted the technician "made a mistake" and offered to remove the part--but why would I have you take out something you already installed, especially when I never asked for it in the first place? I paid the fee, only to discover the camera was still malfunctioning--it overheats every 20 minutes, which is the same issue I originally brought it in for. Clearly, it was never properly diagnosed or fixed. When I finally had time to bring it back (about 3 months later), I explained the issue calmly. Instead of offering help or a second look, he immediately dismissed me, said there was a 30-day warranty (which he couldn't show me), and refused to look at the camera again. He then proceeded to call me a "bitch" under his breath and followed it up with "damn woman"--completely out of line and unprofessional. He offered no solution, no accountability, and no respect. In fact, when I pressed him further, he told me to "sue him" and walked away. I've never had such a disgusting experience with a business. I was disrespected, overcharged, ignored, and insulted. This place is a joke. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Plus, big box stores don't return the negatives to you and I liked having that option. Red room is a bit on the pricier side but again, you're paying for the service and supporting a local business. I paid $17 to develop the film and got it within 1 hour emailed to me! They'll store the negatives for 30 days. Their valuation for used gear is not competitive compared to other major name-brand companies. In my case, their offer fell short by about $300 to $400 (which was not used retail). When I showed an associate the legitimate competitive offer I had received elsewhere, they simply dismissed it and told me to just go with the other company.
