We chose Expert Air Control to put air conditioning in our house because they listened to what we needed, impressed us with knowledge of their products and gave us options to make the best decision. The person that came to our house for the estimate has experience with HVAC installations and performed a thorough assessment of our residence to determine the HVAC size required. The bid documents were very detailed compared to other vendors and made the decision process easier. The price of work fell in the middle of all the bids we received from other contractors. On the day of the installation, we received a text that they were on the way and everyone arrived on time. The process of removing the old equipment and replacing it with new went very well. The work took two days and the entire time, everyone was professional and respectful of our property. Drop cloths were placed to protect the floors and no construction debris was left afterward where the work was done. The conduits, pipes, wires and access holes were well crafted/positioned and look very good. Kudos to Juan and Jayden for a great job. The electrical contractor was very thorough and their work also looked great. During the entire process, the attitude of the staff was very good and the team worked well together. At the end of day 2, the new HVAC units were turned on. We were given a "walk through" of the work that was done, and what to expect. I bought a generator and this company installed it, they came to my home for 2 different service requests after installation. First of all, I NEVER received any instruction from the people who worked on the install and when it was completed the guy couldn't get away fast enough, I walked him to his car attempting to obtain some instruction and information how the system worked, he was in a hurry to catch ferry off the island. They left garbage behind for me to clean up. Today Wes a technician responded to a 2nd service call from me. He projected intimidation arrogance toward me a single elderly woman, he attempted to dominate the conversation not allowing me to speak my concerns, he ridiculed me, degraded me and when he started mocking me, I had had enough. I did not feel safe or comfortable around him, he told me in no uncertain words that he was tired of me wasting his and the companys time. My AC / Furnace made a loud humming noise. They sent Adan to complete work order. Outstanding job! Clean, quick professional, good diagnostic skills, HONEST, easy to work with, explained everything. I called and told them I think my blower motor is bad. It was not the blower motor; they didn't try to sell me a new motor and a normal service to AC and burners in furnace fixed everything. AC works better than it ever did. Even the upstairs is cool now. Adan replaced filters, cleaned coil pads, loaded me up on freon, cleaned and inspected furnace burners. I rarely write reviews but this is the first time I have had 5 star service from any HVAC company and they will get my continued business. I had a horrible AC install a year ago which rested in having to sue the contractor then have another company fix all issues. My thermostat went out during the recent heatwave and Expert Air was able to come this week. They received 5 stars and a tip because the tech Cory was awesome! Expert Air recently came to our aid. I was quoted $1400 for a hot water install by home depot. When the company that they sent out showed up the installer told me that it would be over $3800 because there were some install issues. He said that obviously money wouldn't be an issue since he could see that I had a Maserati parked in the garage. I asked him to leave and immediately called Rick at Expert Air. Ou furnace went out the night the temperatures dropped to the 20's. We called our home warranty company and they immediately set us up with this company. The technician showed up within 12 hours, quickly identified the problem and thankfully, he had the part needed. He was very thourough and professional. This was my second time using Expert Air. The first time they were still Advanced Filter & mechanical. I was happy to be able to use them again when I purchased my new home because my first experience was excellent. I was even able to have the same customer rep come to my home. We wanted several different projects done( air conditioner, gas fireplace, gas lines, hot tub pre wire, ceiling fan wiring) totaling over $18000. After signing the contract and putting half down it went downhill quickly. The communication was nonexistent and the quality of work was really bad. The only project they didn't have to come back (Sometimes multiple times) and fix was the ceiling fans and maybe the air conditioner ( we haven't used it yet). By the time I needed the final wiring for the hot tub done, I was done with Expert Air. I called another licensed electrician that was recommended by my contractor. The hot tub pre wire that I paid over $1500 for was useless. They ran the wrong gauge of wire and didn't finish the job. They also had a 40 amp breaker supplying my 100 amp sub panel. The new electrician suggested that I call Expert Air and have them refund me or come back out and redo yet another job. My husband called and talked to the supervisor and was told that they planned on finishing the job when they did the final wiring at an additional fee (this was not what I asked for nor was it communicated to me). They said they would come back out to make it right and get it passed inspection at a lower price then my new electrician was going to charge. I decided to pay the new electrician to do it over rather then have Expert Air return to my home. read more

I was in the market to get some higher quality air filters for my brand new HVAC system since my family has severe allergies. I found Expert Air Controls. Even though I did not have a Lennox system and rather a different system, they assured me I could get filters and on top of that a Merv rating filter that would be comparable to a hospital. The very next day they had the order in, went to pick up and looked at them at home, noticing they weren't what I ordered. I called Expert Air and was skirted around the fact that my order was incorrect and that these filters are of excellent quality. However, it is not what I was told I was getting. I am saddened that they did not make things right witj such a nice staff of people and a professional demeanor. read more

I noticed our A/C was running but no air was coming out of the vents. Turned on the heater...same issue. I called Expert Air Control and Corey was sent to figure out the problem that same day. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. The new part needed was ordered and when he came back for the repair, he was very efficient and even cleaned the blower. I can't say enough good things. Consumer beware. They are under new management and quality is down. They tripped outlets causing garage plug ins not to work. Outlets worked before they did repair. They charged me an extra $71.56. "The customer is always right" is not their maxim. They are not true to their word. I do not recommend them. They will gouge you. read more

First, I meet Rick the owner as he was working his booth at the Puyallup Fair. He was a great source of information and I took his card for a later date. Well, the later date came sooner than expected. Our furnace died. I called to have it looked at (Non emegency since we had options to stay warm) and got an appontment for service. Excellent polite service by the tech that came. A repair could be done but we decided to replace. (no pressure to do so) Excellent quote and they managed to bump up installation by 5 days. Install tech came at the stroke of 9 AM and worked quickly and quietly doing the install. We also got a Wi-Fi thermostat which is pretty neat. So, great communication, great phone service, very old fashion "small town" feel and service. I believe this would be the case for all their customers. 5 star indeed! read more

We called on Expert Air to clean vent duct and find problem with why it was clogged. Well... they fixed the problem and the service was top notch (as expected). My husband and I highly recommend Expert Air for AC, furnace, water heater installation, routine maintenance and all related services. The price was well below what I thought we would have to pay. I've had two home systems installed by this company. I won't do it again with our recent home in Graham. I would expect that after spending $30K on a new system that my filters would have gladly been installed during a maintenance visit but, I digress. I had to remind them that I needed yearly maintenance on my systems and the filters needed to be replaced. Two years later and I still did not have replacement filters. I called them, they had to order the filters. In the meantime, the furnace is making weird sounds for some reason (probably because of plugged filters). So, I order the filters and schedule a tech to come out and see what the noise is about. I set the 2:30pm appointment with my tenant. My tenant arrives home at around 2:20pm and says that the filters are in the breezeway and the tech is gone...no phone call at all from him or the company. My system is still making sounds and the filters sit in the plastic bag they came in. I called the guy I normally work with and explained to him how dissatisfied I was at the poor service and communication. He called me back and left a voicemail telling me to call the office and that they'd take care of me. I'm done with this company. Give your business to Pacific Heating and Cooling, Ranger Heating and Cooling or Mercurio's. Expert Air obviously does not want my business any longer. I'll oblige them! read more

We got three quotes and Jesse at Expert was the only one who took the time to listen to us, to hear what we wanted and how we live so he could give us two recommendations that fit us best. So our Furnace died in December right before Christmas! We were referred to Expert thru Home Depot! Their Tech came out the next day and helped us get heat back on and told us the mother board was bad and that it would need to be replaced. He gave us a very reasonable quote and we scheduled them to return and install it! The Tech they send out are super friendly, very knowledgeable and don't pull the whole pushy salesman scenario on you they try to figure out the most affordable solution. I was very please with the services they provided and will now use them for all our needs! I interviewed and got estimates from 3 highly rated companies, including consultation re whether to get a heat pump. All were very professional and prompt to the appointments. The representative from this company was the one who really impressed me by helping me to understand what would work best in my house - and why, in a way that a lay-person could understand. No (or not much) jargon, either. The installation went off without a hitch; the guys were prompt, personable, and considerate. My new a/c works beautifully, and my existing furnace is working more effectively, too, because of a suggestion Jesse made to have my air exchange moved (cost a little extra, but definitely worth it). The only suggestion for improvement I have (and I didn't take out of the rating because it didn't impact the outcome and I have yet to find a company that has this down) is for better communication re what is planned between the sales person and the installation techs. Not only were they among the most reasonable bidders, they also turned out to be the best installers of air conditioning I have ever seen. I am an engineer by trade and have a lot of experience in dealing with various system contractors. I cannot praise these folks enough. The showed up when they said, spent the day installing our home a/c system (Lennox), and then inspected and corrected ANYTHING they found that was deficient, none of which were their fault. The ended up fixing things that the original contractor had neglected. The installation is neat and clean and works like a dream. When they finished the installation and testing of the system, they cleaned up their work area (much cleaner than it was when they arrived). I have confidence in these folks and am contracting with them for yearly maintenance on this system. read more
