A family friend told us about Expert Appliance Repair and Vitaliy was able to come out on a Saturday for a third opinion. After assessing, he told us our upstairs and downstairs units were actually in good shape but a board needed to be rebuilt and some parts replaced. He rebuilt the board, replaced the parts, and repaired a duct in the attic. Both the upstairs and downstairs units are now working beautifully in the midst of this summer heat and it cost us 68% LESS than what the bigger companies quoted for the repairs and a literal drop in the bucket compared to the cost of a full system replacement. What is that supposed to mean, he said the work was already done. I understand that but you did it without talking to me first. When the bill was over $300, I said what you were here maybe 40 minutes you left for 10 minutes of that and yes, I did call for service, but the price shocked me, his response was well I can always take it off and not charge you expect for a service call. My freezer door wasn't shutting properly and I wanted to see if it could be repaired rather than buying a new unit with this inflation and global supply chain shortage. I found this business on the Angi App after exhausting my search on Thumbtack. I sent an inquiry and received a telephone call within five minutes. I scheduled an appointment to have the issue diagnosed. Vitaley showed up on-time and was able to diagnose the issue quickly. It needed new door hinges and he didn't have any in stock for my Samsung unit. He placed the order for the parts and contacted me after the parts came in to schedule an installation appointment. Vitaley showed up on time for the installation appointment and was able to perform the job quickly. He also serviced the unit which was 12 years old and never been serviced before. He pulled the unit out, removed the debris from behind the fridge and removed all the dust from the coils. Unfortunately work was never completed and service was very rude!! Representative over the phone would not listen when I tried to explain what the dishwasher technician had relayed to my tenant. There was a change in price and I asked why that would and was informed that I would not be receiving a price breakdown of the charges... doesn't make sense, I tried calling the technician who came to the house two times after he said he was going to the store to pickup parts that were needed in order to repair service and he never returned to the house ERO retuned my phone call. Maybe you'll have a different experience but I recommend going with a different service provider and if they are unavailable then go with these guys as a backup. read more

I ask the customer service person if they needed my micro info? She said no, the service tech will get it? Huh?, Now I'm thinking how will the tech know what parts to bring so they can fix my micro. (Unless parts are stocked in there service truck) Oooook??? Not completely unusual, Right??? The tech calls me on my cell, I answer, "I need address". In a thicker than a bowl of oatmeal Eoupean accent. And of course, I'm asking who is this? His response "Im tech". (Me)Tech who?The repair tech from Expert Appliance Repair? (Him) Yes. Ok, I've been in the service industry for thirty plus years and regardless of his accent. Their is a profession to the industry. And here's a clue if he's reading this...1. He makes a phone call to his office, hangs up, writes his invoice up, tells me the part for my micro won't be in his office until later to day. Wow Now I'm looking at the invoice. This guy must think I'm a idiot, two separate charges for labor. When I called him on it he crossed out one of the charges, but then added to the other. This company and its employees have become shady...and watch out for the service charge $65.00 and the second call out. You'll be charged again. I will attach a copy of the invoice with this post. A very curtious, clean technition arrived, checked the problem with the washer, made a few adjustments and my washer runs like new. Horrible customer service! Apparently money is more important than the customers they serve. Here is my story. They wont even return my calls anymore. I'm reaching out in an effort to return the parts I ordered for a refund. I ordered them because my draft motor was whining and ready to fail. I even had them expedited in fear that my furnace would fail during the cold weather we were having. Literally 2 days after ordering, the main blower motor failed and the furnace had to be replaced. At that point, we moved out of the house as the furnace could not be replaced until the Monday following New Years. When I tried to cancel, Billy explained to me that these parts are not refundable and said that I was aware of that when ordered. The reality is that when we talked about not being able to change the order once it was placed, our conversation was around my decision to airfreight the product. He explained that once it was in cue I could not change it. In no way did I take that to mean the parts were not returnable or refundable. The cost of the parts were going to be a burden in its self as my income has taken a big hit with COVID, and I certainly was not in a good situation to replace the furnace, much less the cost of both. I am struggling financially and need help here.  I totally understand that the freight cost is my responsibility, but I am hoping you will take bake the cost of the parts. read more
