After getting 2 other bids, we had this company re-do our pool cool deck and refresh our patio this week. I had several questions about the best way to proceed with this project, especially the patio. Scott explained the different options and how best to proceed. The crew showed up on Monday and finished the job on Friday. Very hard working and meticulous in getting things just right, they cleaned up every day. The paint on my front walkway had been chipping for years. It was a bad combination of sun, water, and poor paint quality. Ignacio came out and wrote up a detailed estimate, and his crew was able to do the work in a very timely manner. Resurfacing is a multi-step process that requires a few days in between, and they were able to work around my schedule. All surrounding rocks, shrubs, sprinklers, house and front door were all diligently masked off. (Concrete resurfacing is a messy process!). It would be easy to do a great job on concrete while destroying the rest of a yard in the process, but the guys were very meticulous in making sure this didn't happen. Concrete now looks brand new. Our stamped patio needed to be stripped and refinished. Most of the other people we talked to wanted to grind it down which would have taken all of the stamping off of the concrete. Cisco came out first and gave us several estimates depending one what actually needed to be done. Armando came out with his crew to make sure they knew what needed to be done on both the pavers, which we wanted natural, and the concrete, which we wanted epoxied. The crew worked a half a day getting two-three layers of old sealer off of the patio and even came back the next day to get the spots they missed. They worked with us while we waited a week to get the paver sealer we wanted delivered and came the very next day to finish the job. Armando came out once again to make sure it was done to our satisfaction. The price was fair and in line with the other estimates we had gotten. Debates about this for a while because I actually never received services, just a lot of wasted time. Initially had a good feeling because the guy that came over and gave me a quote for concrete polishing on 3 bedrooms was on time, professional, detailed in pricing and explaining the polishing process. Gave me an individual quote for each room, as well as all together. I was told I could do one room, two rooms or all three at once. I also mentioned wanting to my garage but wanted to see at least one bedroom done first to make sure my girlfriend and I both liked the finished product, more so her because I've seen polished concrete and personally like. He told me they were a couple of weeks out as far as starting. I made my appointment to get the one bedroom done then and there, which was just under a $1000. I had to take the day off work in advance to make sure I would be home from start to finish, which is a 4 day process. The morning of the start I was told they would only do my job if I got two rooms done at one time, one bedroom was too small of a job. I reminded him that I was told I could do one bedroom at a time if I wanted to, and showed him the copy of the quote, where each individual quote was given for each room. He apologized and said his "partner" wasn't happy just doing one and would only start my job today if I did two bedrooms. Again I told him the purpose of doing one bedroom is so that my spouse could see the finish for herself up close, and if she liked it, then we would get the other two bedrooms done and I also want the garage done. He said ok, and told me they were another month out to be able to schedule me in. Mind you, I've already taken time off work, that I couldn't cancel. Since he was polite and apologetic and scheduled me in for June 22 first thing in the morning, I was able to look past the nonsense. Come June 22, my spouse blocked off her day so these guys could start, i wasn't going to take anymore time off that day, but could for the following days last minute if I needed. They were a complete no call no show. So apparently they have no consideration for taking up people's time for no reason. read more
