DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! They took advantage on a Sunday due to "no power" the tech quoted $1410.00 + trip fee of $195.00 to replace the main breaker .. she was home alone with small children and could not be without electricity. Asked for a discount, They easily gave 20% off Then took 10 min to install new breaker. Only after install did they provide written estimate. 1. Not even sure the part was new. 2. Estimate included one part that is $72.00 at Lowes. Less than 10 min install. Sent pic only after part removed. 3. After telling them they are a total ripoff, they then lowered price to $928.00 and no trip charge. 4. Their "estimate" was sent to me only AFTER work was done. 5. 12x cost of part for 10 min install is unscrupulous!

    Lamp 2

I needed to add an outdoor lamp lighting fixture. Jesse added wiring from the circuit breaker and prepare the wiring in both side in front of the garage same day while I search and order the lamp. He came back as soon as I got the lamp by mail and installed my new lamp with care. Jesse was patient and willing to work around my specs. I can count on Jesse to show up when he promised. Don't hesitate to work with Jesse for your electrical needs.

Does this look like $750 worth of work to you?

Everyone that works there is very friendly, and the person that came out (JR) was knowledgeable and personable. But they are trained to up sell, and all roads lead to replacement of your panel or other services you didn't call them for. It's obvious to me that JR was sent to my house with instructions to sell me on upgrades or services that are beyond what I called about. I wish he would have spent as much time and effort helping solve my issue. The smell is still there, but my $750 is gone. They didn't see me as customer; they saw me as a sucker they can charge what they want. I had them come out for burning smell in my son's room, and I even narrowed it down to the outlet I thought was the issue. JR tells me how my panel needs to be serviced, and even though it's a 200 amp panel, he was recommending a newer panel. I let him go through his sales pitch, and it was funny later when he noticed on the panel door that the panel was less than 10 years old. I think he wished he had seen that before so he could have recalibrated his BS to "every 5 years". So he wants me to pay him for replacing my less than 10 year/ 200 amp panel. Meanwhile, he has little to add related to my immediate issue: what is causing that smell in the room. So I resigned to pay him $750 for the outlet I pointed out to him as the possible issue and the breaker it goes to. That is way too much, but it was my choice to pay that. As an honest man, I accept responsibility for choosing to pay that. What is unacceptable is the up selling that takes away from actually meeting the customers needs. He didn't even have the decency to replace the other 2 outlets in the room for my $750.

Rip off and should honestly be reported. They charged my mom $780 to replace ONE outlet that took less than 5 minutes to do.

Charges about 6 to 10 times higher than other electricians. You'd have to be crazy to use them.

I was having a difficult time getting an electrician to call me back. When I finally got a hold of somebody and made an appointment, the guy canceled on me the same day messing up my schedule. After reading some reviews for electricians in my area on Yelp, I stumbled upon Larchmont Electricians. I figured I would give them a shot. I'm not tech savvy so when I called them, the technician was very pleasant and easy to talk to. They made it easy to schedule an appointment especially around my busy work schedule. The technician had even called a few days prior to confirm our appointment. After fixing all of my issues (way sooner than I expected might I add), the technician noticed a fire hazard in my bedroom closet door switch. I was unable to get that fixed right then and there yet he still took the time to educate me on other options. He was then so kind as to install a different type of circuit breaker for my closet lights as a temporary fix so if it short circuits and sparks it would cut off the power. I'm no technician, but I know great service when I get it. I highly recommend them.

My girlfriend needed the right type of lighting to set the mood for her TikTok content, and I'll be the first to admit--I know absolutely nothing about lightbulbs. It was last minute, about 30 minutes before closing, so I called ahead and then decided to go in. I'm really glad I did. I was helped by a young man named Guy, and he was outstanding. You could tell he genuinely cared about what he was doing. He asked thoughtful questions--whether I wanted LED or a traditional red bulb--and walked me through the pros and cons of each option in a way that actually made sense to someone like me. What really stood out was how hands-on he was. He picked out a few options, brought them to the counter, and used a socket setup to actually show me how each bulb looked when lit. Then he carefully explained the differences so I could make an informed decision. That level of service is rare. The store itself is incredible--if it exists in the world of lightbulbs, they have it. But what made the experience memorable was Guy. He was knowledgeable, polite, enthusiastic, and took real pride in helping a customer. You just don't see that level of care as often anymore. I'm old enough to say "back in the day," and honestly, this felt like that kind of customer service--where someone actually takes the time to help and make sure you get exactly what you need. Guy, keep up the great work. That kind of effort and attitude does not go unnoticed.

In the contract was also a 240 line for an EV charger under the house so that it would be ready for hookup once we bought an EV and he verbally assured me it was there, ready to go, and he could hook it up once we bought the charger. When we bought an EV in early 2024 we discovered that there was no 240 line in place. But after several weeks of cajoling (my calls and texts were incessant), he did make good with sending a crew out to run the line that was already paid for 4.5 years earlier, and to his credit he did ONLY charge for the cost of connecting the charger (which was understandable). But rather than a single run line of #6 with 60A circuit as is recommended for this charger, his crew ran a cheaper setup of 40A breaker with #8 wire but no dedicated conduit, connected through 2 junction boxes near each end. Also, they connected the charger to the 40A circuit but did not set the charger to a maximum 32A charge as it clearly says in the charger's manual. So within a couple of months charging at 48A max charge, the wires burned up, which seems like a major fire hazard that could have burned down our house. A different electrician saw that they had not set the maximum charge on the charger correctly and said they should have at least warned me to do so. His crew came back to have it fixed but they only replaced the wires going from the charger to the nearby junction box and didn't say anything (again) about max charge but I looked it up and set the max to 32A myself and had a different electrician check it was done correctly. Even still, a few months later, the problem repeated, with the wires burning up in the junction box (see photos) and now he is saying he is only willing to repair the connection inside the junction boxes again but will not redo it more safely as a single run. I can't trust that it won't burn up again with the current setup using the junction boxes (which seems like a fire hazard!), so I now feel I need to pay someone else to redo/correct his crew's work. He was barely responsive when I first contacted him in 2024 to ask where the line was that he promised, but when he did finally come through... he did it on the cheap. He was barely responsive when I pointed out the problems and fire hazard a few months later but did finally come through. And again more recently he did not respond for a while but was finally responsive. But he only offered to repair something in the same way... that has already broken 2 times. I will give him credit for not totally ghosting me and he did make some effort to make good on the contracted work. But ultimately Roy did not come through with solidly-performed job but rather has decided to cut his losses and just do the bare minimum. Disappointing.
