Unfortunately the communication and professionalism of this company has went from 100 to 0. I've been a customer for almost 3 years - Alan has been great until Carolina (a girlfriend) took over appointments. I was quoted $250 in writing for my service which is what I been paying then got a call from a lady stating the price is almost double. I confirmed an appt with her verbally AND via text only to say I am not on the books. After a back and forth of pure shock of insults and unprofessionalism from her and Alan, I was sent a confirmation # for an appt. NOW I get cancelled on at 8pm on a Friday night because of an "emergency". I am a female and it's hard to find trustworthy people to deal with your vehicle. I am terrified this man has my address. Ladies beware. So disappointing to see such a great business decline so drastically. UPDATE! Carolina is his wife. The text says that HE can not work - Alan has several people working for him and has never come to service my car. Lastly I just spoke to 4 of my friends who have upcoming appointments with Alan and none of them have ever spoke to Caroline and has not been cancelled on due to this fake emergency. Never let your partners jealousy ruin your business. UPDATE! Several of my friends use this service and have upcoming appointments and will take pictures of their service. He has no condition and can definitely work. Anyone who books this company will receive service except me. If you look under the many 1star reviews - he does this OFTEN!! First and foremost I must say that Allan and the mechanic, Daniel, that was sent out to me did an excellent job. Daniel was very professional and thorough with his work, triple checking that everything up to spec and that the job was done properly. I hope to use Daniel again in future work. I have a 2001 BMW 330i with 230,000 miles that has had a nasty oil leak since I purchased the car second hand. Its been 13 years since I have owned the car and I have stacks of card board boxes that I use when parking in my garage to absorb the leak. I decided to finally get the oil pan gasket replaced after all these years. Putting new engine mounts was a no brainer since it is part of the process to remove the oil pan gasket as well. I was going to do it myself but I also figured since the pan is off I should also do the rod bearings. This car has been abused and maintenance not followed (not doing oil changes or just having little oil in the engine due to the leak) which means that the rod bearings are at risk of being damaged, causing a spun rod or rod knock. Rod bearing replacement is a job far above my pay grade so I decided to look around on Yelp. I already was planning to source the parts myself as I have a store that offers lifetime warranty so all I was looking for was labor. All shops quoted me thousands, YES THOUSANDS WITH AN "S", of dollars to do the job. Granted, the work I was requesting is indeed labor intensive and those are the going rates. Its a very precise process that requires patience and time, not simply remove and put in bolts. Fortunately Allan responded to my estimate inquiry and gave a VERY reasonable offer that no one on their right mind would refuse. It was a steal and I couldn't say no. He said they could work anywhere. So if you live in an apartment and/or don't have access to space, they will even work on the street. Daniel was came earlier than I had made an appointment for and was ready to work. I stayed to watch and let me say he did not take any shortcuts nor try to rush the job. I wrench myself on little things here and there and I can say that Daniel is a professional in his craft. I knew it was going to be long so I brought out my cooler and had drinks for Daniel so he wouldnt get dehydrated. It took an entire day and an additional 3 hours the next to finish the job. He cleaned everything up and also did not leave any trash. My car is now running like it just came off the lot. I have recommended Allan and Daniel to my coworkers who also have been looking for a trusty mechanic. One of my coworkers has already used them and also expressed the exact same sentiments I did. I have also mentioned them on certain forums online. I hope the business grows and that it becomes even more success than it already is. Thank you Allan and Daniel! I had taken my Toyota Corolla to the dealership last week to get some maintenance, and they were quoting exorbitant prices. My uncle, who's a mechanic, suggested I look elsewhere which is how I ended up with Express Mechanic. I usually like to support small businesses, but I took my car to a nearby shop last year and had my spark plugs replaced (to a shop that had very high Yelp ratings). When I had I maintenance at the dealership half a year later, they told me the spark plugs were corroded (and they're supposed to last 50,000 miles. Not 5,000 miles). The other things that were wrong with my car wouldn't have caused this, so most likely the spark plugs weren't good to begin with. I lost my trust using places outside the dealership after this, but since the dealership was quoting me 2k+ for the repairs I needed, I decided to try Express Mechanic. Let me tell you they did NOT disappoint! Easy scheduling, reliable, showed up early. The mechanic seemed honest and was willing to work with what I needed. He confirmed the problems, went to buy the correct parts, and came back before parking enforcement could ticket my car for street cleaning. My car is now running and feels great! And to top it off the prices were extremely reasonable. The dealership was trying to charge $1000 more (WAY above market price) than what these guys did for me. Well I'm impressed. From beginning to end this was one of the easiest repair process (for a mobile service) that I have had in a long time. I needed to have my right rear halfshaft replaced on my Tesla Model S. Trying to avoid getting ripped off by the dealer I decided to submit requests to mechanics on Yelp. Finally got someone who said they could do it, and at a reasonable price. (These guys.) They gave me a few availability options and was instructed to send a text with my car info and address. Booked for 9:30am. Cool! Now having had multiple bad experiences with a couple other mobile companies, I kept my expectations low. Well, low and behold they showed up, and was 30 min early. Sweet!!! The mechanic, Danny, was very polite and professional. The company truck was clean and all the equipment looked to be clean as well. Danny got to work and was removing stuff like a surgeon.
