I took my car in right at 8am. They were filling up with work fast within the first few minutes of opening. The tire/brake center is behind the building you see from the street. I just drove my car 11 hours from Virginia, so I wanted to make sure my brakes and everything was okay. They drove my car around and checked it out, gave me a call and said it is fine. Came in because both of my belts blew off of my 2002 Mazda protégé ask them to replace both belts they said I needed a new alternator because my alternator was broken... so the alternator wasn't broken the mounting bolt backed out of the bracket that holds the alternator In the correct spot.... wasn't hard for me to figure out and do myself so express tire/the mechanics that worked there knew that a bolt needed to be replaced along with the belts but thet wanted me to pay $800 in labor and parts for a bolt they could've charged me for instead they waste my whole day and try to upsell me on parts that I don't need do not recommend this place stay far away read more

These guys are great. I tried another oil change place in Madison and they just were not responsive. These guys, Yolanda especially, are just amazing. They were packed today and yet got me in and out in 15 minutes. I don't know about you, but I can't deal with minor things like an oil change being an all day event. Stop and see these guys. I brought the Subaru 2005 in for oil change. The servicemen informed me that two belts appeared to require changing, and they were able to do that right after the oil change. At the end of the service, they realized that the timing belt also likely needed changing out due to length of time it had been since the last one. They allowed me to come at 8a. I didn't have a ride, so I set up my laptop and was just going to work in the guest waiting area. One of the servicemen informed me that it would take likely over 4 hours. He also arranged a Lyft coming and going. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful. The only negative- which is not in the employees control- Is the run down appearance of the face of the building and the sign. The Express Oil off of Sullivan also looked run down. If someone is new to Madison or Huntsville, they could choose to go elsewhere just because of the appearance of the building. The EOC on Madison BLVD has won multiple awards for the outstanding business of the year many years in a row. Impressive . The invoice of course was much higher than I had anticipated (I only wanted an oil change). But I can feel more secure driving knowing that the important elements of the car are in great condition. Quick oil change. They changed my next service date from the five months I've had them put into their computer, back to four months with no explanation given. Were they out if my 5-month oil today? I give them a three and a half, overall. They do seem more polite than they used to be. However, I would prefer auto technicians to focus on servicing my car properly, instead of on opening the door for me. read more

My literal FAVORITE place to go to in town for an oil change and any other problems with my car. As a woman, I feel like you can get ripped off by mechanics pretty easily but this place is always so respectful and informative! Didn't get shown my oil level during my visit and my car would not start because they ruined my transmission. Drained transmission and put oil in it, then tried to clear codes to hide the failure signal. These guys will make mistakes and try to cover them up. DO NOT GO HERE. UNPROPERLY TRAINED WORKERS. They were supposed to give me 4 new tires but they called us said it was done then we showed up and it wasn't. When he was pulling my truck around to get the tires changed he hit a parked vehicle and dended my back bumper and my rear left body panel then made no attempt to fix it. read more

While I usually give folks the benefit of the doubt, I've taken my car for oil change and then service twice in the last year, once for spark plugs and then once for a service milestone. After the spark plug job + 10K miles, the engine sputtered on starting and got worse in the cold weather. I figured the starter/battery were to blame, but after a check engine light indicated I had a misfire; I personally replaced all the spark plugs which were gapped at twice the level they were supposed to be. When confronting the store, all they said was...that's normal corrosion and it's about time they change anyhow -- After 15K miles? No way. Besides that, it's a little (very) fishy that all 6 plugs were gapped EXACTLY the same. Obviously mechanic error. No offer to refund or even a discount at next service visit. Despite that issue, I had to take it in for a service checkup just last week (we all know the dealership is twice as much!) and the said the radiator was leaking and the fan clutch needed to be replaced. Their estimate for the parts was at least $50 more than auto parts store (per part) and the labor was expensive, as one could imagine, so I decided to do it myself. This weekend, when visiting the auto parts store to do the work, I asked the worker to come check and see check the fit of the radiator, at which time, he asked why I was replacing the parts. After a test, he said he couldn't see why I'd replace either. Just another example of a cliche coming true. While these guys might be quick at changing oil, you'd better get your 'real' service done somewhere else!!! read more

I haved used this place for years because it is so convenient. several years ago something went wrong with my oil filer and it leaked a lot of oil out of my truck. I took it to the dealer, and they replace the oil and gave me back the old filer. I took it back to express, and they said they would send it in to find out what the problem was. I check back later after buying a new truck, and they said nothing was found bad. ??? so why did the filter leak? I guess they never sent it in. Well now several oil changes later my wife took her car in and had the oil changed to find out at the next change at the dealer that the oil pan plug threads were stripped($500). So the next time i was in I asked if they use a torque wrench to tighten the plug, and he said no. After telling the story of my wifes car the monkey then trys to tell me they do use a torque wrench(I know what a torque wrench is). He makes up this regular looking wrench that clicks like a torque wrench::::: telling lie after lie. Totally untrustworthy. So, I ask the manager, he says "we do not use a torque wrench". To make a long story short if you have a car with alumnium oil pan, don't go here or you will be spending a lot at the dealer getting it fixed!!! To late for the short story I guess. read more

Disappointed. I called to get a quote for repairs on my vehicle and was told that the computers were down, but it would run around $600. I was told to bring the car in the next day so they could look at it and give me a better estimate - I was also told there would be no charge for this. I took the car in, and the estimate was more like $900. The new quote was out of my budget range, so I chose not to proceed with the repair. I was then charged $45.00 for the "diagnostic." Don't get me wrong, I don't expect something for nothing, but I already knew what was wrong with my car, and they asked to look at it "free of charge" to give me a better estimate. Here's the catch, the $45 for the diagnostic fee is applied to your total bill if you choose to have the repair done, otherwise they charge you. I don't have a problem with that type of policy as long as it's explained BEFOREHAND. They got my $45 once, but they will not get any repeat business, nor referrals! read more
