He was able to repair it quickly, fill it in so it wouldn't spread, and make it look much less noticeable. The quality of the work was excellent and the whole process was straightforward. After seeing how good the repair turned out, I had him come back to fix smaller chips on my parents' cars as well--an Audi A5 and a Ford F-150 Lightning. Same great results on both, even better than the M2 since they were much smaller. One thing I really appreciate is that he offers both mobile service and repairs at his shop. I chose the mobile option for the M2 and paid a small mobile fee, but it was totally worth the convenience. When he came out the second time for the other two cars, he even gave us a great deal. One day while driving down Highway 101 South, the small car in front of me kicked up a pebble that left a chip in my windshield. I got home, parked in the garage, put packing tape across the chip, and measured the length of the chip (.3 inches) and distance from the nearest edge (7 inches from passenger edge). The next day I called Miguel of Express Windshield Repair (https://www.yelp.com/biz/express-windshield-repair-san-jose-4), sent him some pictures of the damage, and he was able to schedule me for a repair at his location the next morning at 8AM for $60, which was the cheapest of the 2 other South Bay places I called (the others charged $109 and $65). He could have come to my location for additional cost, but I opted to go to him. Miguel was great to work with. He was responsive over call and text. When I got to his location and found it hard to park (it's a 1 car driveway and I have difficulty parking unless it's super spacious), he helped guide me into the driveway. The fix took 20 mins but I stayed for 45 mins b/c Miguel took the time to explain what he was doing and describe the other fixes he's done. When I left, he helped guide me out of the driveway as well. I unreservedly recommend Miguel for your windshield repair needs. Honest, proficient, and professional. Three words not always seen in the auto repair industry. I sent a quote request via yelp to various companies, and Miguel was the first one to get back to me. After sending him a photo of the windshield he quoted me $50 for the fix. Which was way better than the $100 - $175 I was being quoted by others. I made the appointment with Miguel for the next day. He took one look at my windshield and said that I did not have a break but a chip. He then found a second chip, said he could fill it in with resin and not charge me at all. The reason is that the filling would not make the chip go away 100%. All in all, it took about 30 min for him to fill in the chips.
