I was driving up from LA to SF to deliver one of the my recent unicorn eTron deals to my brother on Saturday night. Just as I was leaving from Cupertino to SF, a nice rock came bouncing on 280 just before the CA 92 exit. I heard the impact and then saw the starburst chip in the center of the new windshield. I called Father and Sons Auto Glass Repair and, unbeknownst to me, they contracted my job to Miguel. I was not informed of this by either party; I was not asked to sign consent for any repairs. Upon arrival, he asked that we move my vehicle in to the shade to allow the window to cool before starting the repair. However, even before the engine was turned off from moving the vehicle, he went to work. His direct negligence caused a rock chip (smaller than the size of a dime) to crack the entire windshield. When it happened, his response was 'my bad'. He has refused to accept any responsibility paying for damages caused; I assume because he has been hiding under the umbrella of the other company. I have filed a case with the Bureau of Automotive repair. Update: my instance is not the .1%. Miguel fully admitted that he should have let the windshield cool down before attempting any repairs. read more

I can't believe there are still kind, ethical people out there who will do the right thing no matter what! I noticed a very small crack in my 2020 Subaru windshield so called and scheduled an appointment with Miguel. He was very accommodating and met me on a Saturday morning to do the repair.
