Let's face it, no one really likes going to urgent care or the emergency room. The ExpressMD staff were fantastic and made the whole process easy and not quite so terrible. You can check in online, and do the paperwork before you get there on their website. While I didn't do that, the initial paperwork at the clinic was not awful, considering what is normal for doctor's visits, etc. They got me in within a few minutes of finishing the paperwork, the tech was super nice and understanding, the practitioners came in not five minutes later, diagnosed, and instead of waiting for the tech to come back, the practitioner did my treatment so I could get on out. Everyone was exceptionally nice, efficient, non-judgmental, and generally really great. They answered all my questions, explained to me what they needed to do, and made sure that I wasn't uncomfortable or anything. I would definitely go back here if I needed to! read more

This was the worst experience I've had an urgent care. First, the lady who answered the phone was rude. She asked if my insurance card had a po box on the back, when I told her No. She was like well check again. I started to read her the back of my card, when she rudley interrupted me. Second, the copayment for an urgent care visit for me is $20. Instead of calling my insurance, I had to pay $4o and they will refund me when my insurance company says it's $20. Third, finally got back I finally got back into a room. Waited for the PA to come in. (The reason. I had gone in is because I had stepped off a curb wrong. My right foot is swollen and bruised. Don't know if it's just sprained or broken.) The PA come in, she then started to squeeze my foot hurt. I was then told the xray tech had gone home for the night and there was not much she could do (as she is still squeezing my foot as I was saying ow). I was then told I could buy a boot, because they buy it from a third party and insurance won't cover it. Overall, I would not go back to this company. I work for St. David's so i know about healthcare, billing, diagnosis codes, etc. But this place is a nightmare. Please avoid this place and save you the headache. I went here to get an antibiotic for my strep throat and I have good insurance. They gave me the wrong estimate since they based it on my old previous insurance, even though they made a copy of the new one and I filled out a form to update the new insurance. But how do you prove that? You cant, because theyre they ones the lost the paperwork and they are the ones who gave me a quote based on the wrong insurance plan. Terrible Terrrible place. Definitely my last visit here. I will go to a real ER (which cost a lot less since Im a St. David's employee) or minute clinic before I go here. ER would have cost me $150 max. Employee clinic would have cost me $20. This place gave me a wrong estimate of $15. Now Im stuck with at $250 bill for sore throat. I know mistakes happen and no one is perfect but a good business should take ownership and responsibility, full or partial to fix the issue. This place wont. Negative star if possible. Avoid this place. So I thank Dawn for that. Ashley at the (billing dept) got upset when I tried to explain to her my side and basically demanded for me to "so are you going to pay by phone or mail your payment!!?". If I could give zero stars, I would. My husband brought my elderly father (who happens to be a Vietnam Vet and has medical insurance) to this clinic because he was very ill. They refused to see him because he didn't have his medicine list with him. They encouraged my husband to go to his pharmacy to get a copy of his med list and come back . My husband was so concerned about my dad's well being asked the nurse if she could at least check his vitals (especially his blood pressure), but they refused. The Nurse Practioner who denied my dad treatment was Candice Hessel. I called to speak to the manager, Dawn, who denied the situation all together stating her staff told her different details. She wasn't happy when she learned I had an 8 minute recorded conversation with the receptionist who admitted they refused service. Horrible way to treat an elderly veteran. Asked for another manager or supervisor to contact me and haven't received a call yet. They also haven't responded to my attorney's attempt to contact them. Worst read more

I recently had to go get tested for COVID-19 due to being exposed to an individual that tested positive. I live in Georgetown,Tx so wanted yo find somewhere close I found a clinic and drive over there because it showed on their website they did the testing there. Of course there was a sign to call their number to check in. After several attempts I finally got done one time answer the phone after being told had to go on line and register then they'd call me for an appt and it took about 10 days to get results. So I left there and found EXPRESS MD URGENT CARE in Pflugerville that told me just to come over give them a call and they'd come out to get insurance and ID. So when I got there I called them and told them where I was parked they cane out within 5 mins took my info then told me I could pull around back and they'd gone out and do the testing. So pulled around they immediately came out did the testing. I didn't even ask how long on testing. But to my surprise I was call the very next day less than 24hrs from testing and was told it came back negative. It was so smoothly ran office I will definitely hi back there for any urgent care I need. Very professional staff and very pleasant. You could tell by my small amount of time I was there that they had a very well ran organization there. I would surely recommend Express MD Urgent Care in Pflugerville Texas for any kind of urgent care or testing. Thank you to the staff for caring about people. read more

I cannot even begin to express my anger and disappoint towards this facility. My husband had a peice of metal shoot into his arm and he came here. The nurses could not remove the metal so they told him they were referring him to a specialist to have it removed. This was Wednesday morning. We call Wednesday afternoon to check if the referral was sent and they tell us to wait on a call from the specialist any time that day. Thursday afternoon rolls around and we call again because we have yet to receive a call only to find out THEY FORGOT TO SEND THE REFFERAL. Yes, a day and a half of him suffering with metal in his arm and they FORGOT. Now when the specialist FINALLY calls since they forgot to send the refferal so they can't see him until MONDAY. Remind you my husband has metal IN HIS ARM. And Express MD says there's nothing they can do. The lack of professionalism in this facility is absurd. I am completely disappointed. I love this place! I've never waited more than 5 mins to be seen. The paramedics take your vitals and do the initial triage before you even go into a waiting room. Then one of the the amazing PAs come in within minutes. Their diagnosis have always been spot on and their bedside manor is off the charts. They follow up with telephone calls too. Here is a place that doesn't care about you, but cares about your money. I came in for an initial visit of $135 dollars to see them when I was sick. They insisted I had nothing wrong and told me to take Tylenol. Six days past and I was still sick. To top off, they did flu test where before they would do it they made me pay in the patient room asking me for a credit card, like I'm not good for it after the flu test. Later on 6 days Finally I had hounded them for an antibiotic and they called it in. It helped some for the symptoms but here I am at the door of this place again still sick and they want me to pay another $135 and I'm still sick from same thing. I told them it was absurd to pay another fee to just walk in. I paid the fee and after I paid some dude I don't know who didn't look like a doctor took me into a room saying you know what sir my staff doesn't want to work with you and this is after I paid the $135. He didn't care if I got treated or got better. I told him the entire story and he STILL insisted on arguing with me , saying well it sounds like you got better and giving me straight attitude. I got a refund immediately because these people are the most incompetent people I've ever met. Don't GO Here unless you want them to take your money and walk empty handed with no diagnosis, no actual care and people who give you attitude that they are right about the situation before a customer is. Stay away! There is a ton of other places in town to go before this one. read more

They shouldn't have express in their name. I had to leave before seeing anyone, as it was going to be at least another hour before I would be seen. Take all of your info with you; unlike other urgent care places, they won't call your insurance to get your ID number, even if you can barely use your arm. I've been to this clinic twice. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. They take time to listen to you prior to their diagnosis. I've worked for several physicians so I tend to expect a lot from my caregivers. They did not disappoint. I was so pleased with this clinic that when I became ill they were the first physicians that entered my mind. Looks like I have found my new primary care provider. One big plus with this clinic is that you can be seen the same day you call. read more

If you come in within a half hour of their closing time, they will be obviously annoyed. Most are already standing around with their things ready to go. The "exam" took 3 minutes and basically told me because I'd had pain medicine for another reason, completely unrelated, since August they were hesitant to give me any. I didn't ask for any or even mention it! I was there to find out what was wrong with my neck and back since I'd just had a car accident and couldn't function properly I was sent away with no real exam or treatment, no diagnostics, no xrays. They told me there was nothing they could do. They had lights out and were locking up before I got to my car. Went to another doctor instead, who did imaging and treatment and turns out I tore significant muscle in my neck and back with swelling. These people only care about getting home on time. The nurse who did my intake didn't even inflate the blood pressure cuff and put down an arbitrary number. read more

The male nurse is a complete idiot, he didn't check my wife's temperature correctly causing it to read 98.2 when 15 minutes earlier I checked it at 101.3 the doctor almost didn't give us the right medicine till she herself checked it and it read at 100. read more

This was a fantastic experience. I had serious, urgent medical issues, and I was not here long enough to have a primary care physician. I went to ExpressMD, and the visit was amazing. I got great care. The doctor took time with me and was very patient. (Is that proper to call a doctor "patient"?) I was referred to a cardiologist who said that this doctor was right on in diagnosing and treating my condition. (Thank you Dr. Asamoah). This place really pissed me off. My 2 year old daughter had an arm out of socket something common but must be handled with care or there could be alot of damage done. This is my 3rd time and every time I am very happy with the service. This time I used the online appt and was greeted, paid, assessed and off to get my prescriptions in 45 minutes. Megan, NP had a great "bedside" manner and treated me as the expert and what course of treatment I preferred. (occasional reoccurring back injury). Office staff friendly and efficient. AFTER I had been seen by a doctor, I was told by the woman working the front desk that she didn't think my insurance would pay for it, so I had to pay for the entire thing out of pocket (which caused other checks to bounce). I called my insurance, got their assurance they would pay it, called the Express MD office and was told that I would get a refund within two weeks. Over 6 months later I get my money back. Ridiculous that she wouldn't take my insurance and then to have to wait that long for them to pay me back. read more

The receptionist and Nurse practitioner were pleasant and professional, but the oaf on the vitals etc could not have been less so. If this is how they are going to be we will start going to Medspring, there is no reason for this especially with customers who are sick or hurting. I was in an accident and severely sprained both wrists/elbows with a fracture. I could not drive myself for weeks. I was pale white and shaking when the accident happened but waited until the next day to "go to the doctor". I am fairly certain I asked for make an appointment to see a doctor. Unfortunately I didn't see a doctor. The first person who put me in the room talked about 'your primary' which confused me. I should have walked out at the first sight of the stupid arm tats. Well I got a prescription for aleve while having a notoriously painful fracture. I was told to come back if I don't feel better with the offer of x-rays if I wanted them, but that he didn't recommend them. Something about a return office visit being free within a time period. Well I obviously felt better after a couple days but given the fact that I hadn't been to the doctor in 10 years and conveyed how serious this was to the nurse (fake MD), I was expecting to talk to a doctor. The nurse was super nice, but that wasn't what I was there for. I felt like I was being hustled because the nurse did nothing but try to chum it up with me. I'm not even sure they ever have a doctor on site. Coming back "for free" is absurd when you are in too much pain to operate the steering wheel of a car for weeks. I saw a specialist eventually to find out my wrist was fractured and the injury will likely have delayed healing because of this place. The nurse literally told me that "there really is nothing to break in your hand, it is all small bones and ligaments". I'm an educated person but was a complete fool to believe this quack. Everyone else in the medical profession is in awe at that statement. For the sake of your own health, avoid this place, as it is all bottom of the barrel employees. read more

I hesitate to even rate as 1 star honestly. BUT,3 weeks ago after being ill for several weeks, I called to see how busy they were while gathering all I had to drag myself there. The receptionist had said they weren't busy and she was right. They still weren't when I arrived. I was the ONLY patient. As I was filling out 3 pages of med.& insurance info. etc(not unusual)an apparently scheduled person came in & was immediately seen. Meanwhile, a drug rep. came, waited about 5 min. & was seen. 2 other unscheduled people came in. One for an pre employment drug screen and another for an employment "well exam". At this point, I had been there for at least 45 min.,but was finally taken to the exam room. A tech.of some sort,(male with 0 personality) asked why I was there, took my vitals and said,"the doctor would be in shortly". I was so sick I decided to lay on the table, which by the way, had no protective paper on it, & had "visible splatter or splash marks" of some sort on the plastic covering it. I'm not a germ a phob.,but can you say, "Microbes"?.Gross! I was having a difficult time staying awake and began to doze off a bit. Finally I heard the Dr.next door apologizing to the person in the next room for "having to wait so long", Then I heard nothing...After another 40 min.or so MORE, I decided I'd be better off going home so I could at least go back to bed. I went to the front desk and asked if I'd "possibly been forgotten"..The receptionist seemed shocked, and said,"Oh, didn't the Dr. see you yet"?Clearly, I HAD been forgotten. As I turned out, the Dr. was standing at a desk behind me and I politely repeated. She responded,"Oh, I'll see you now". No apology offered, Not even a smile, Nothing. Further more, besides addressing my obvious pink eyes with an unneeded scipt, "Dr."offer not much of anything, not even an introduction. She did give me "a coupon" for some cough medicine that the drug rep.had just replenished (while I waited) which was a joke as it was $87. She also gave me a script for antibiotic for my eyes, which was also not needed. I had "allergic", NOT bacterial pink eye..I know this, because I did not fill it, & the infection resolved itself several days later. I also told her I was exhausted and thought I probably had a virus which she "confirmed". She asked if I would "like a note for work" and I said I could use one for school. I also expressed how extremely painful my throat was & that I could barely swallow. She looked at it and said," it was fine", & didn't bother to culture it. She told me to wait while she got my scripts and note ready. She returned 8 min. later; again I'm the only one there, now 90 min. later. Turned out she failed to include the note & I threw the worthless scripts in the trash at the pharmacy. Now nearly 3 weeks later, I STILL am barely able swallow extremely fatigued. Obviously, I need a second opinion...Honestly, I'd be better to let nature take it's course or risk dying than to go back there. Thank God I wasn't bleeding to death or having "urgent" issues when I went there, because I may have died before being seen..Not comforting!.Thanks/NO Thanks...NEVER to return! read more

Worst customer service I've had in a very long time. Took my son in for what should've been a 20 minute sports physical. No one at the desk to greet us when we arrived so I signed in on a clipboard that read "Drug Testing and PHYSICALS sign in HERE." Lady finally came back to the front so I approached her. "One moment please," she barked. TEN MINUTES LATER, she asks "have you been helped yet?" I tell her no, not yet. People continue to walk in and get called back while we're still waiting. Finally I tell her, "Look, I've been waiting for nearly 45 min for you just to acknowledge me. When do you plan to check us in?" She does so with a clear attitude. I ask explicitly if we would be bumped to the front of the line since we waited so long. She said yes and took my money. They put us in a room where we waited ANOTHER 20 MINUTES and still no doctor. I complained to the administrator who completely covered for the receptionist. I insisted on my money back and drove my son to MedSpring on Gattis School Road. EXCELLENT AND PROMPT SERVICE THERE! Highly recommend anyone who cares about quality customer service avoid ExpressMD and take your business to MedSpring instead. Money is way too hard to come by to give it to folks that care so little about my business. read more

We took my three year old to ExpressMD, here in Pflugerville, for what we believed was a nurse maid's elbow. If you have any experience with it, you know it can be excruciating for little ones. Everyone there was friendly and extremely helpful. Our copay was little more than for a regular doctor visit. Since it was after hours for our regular doctor, we were so very happy to be able to run down here, two minutes from our house, rather than drive twenty minutes to an ER and wait for hours. There was no wait to see the doctor. The tech, who showed us to our room, took temp, etc, was great. He helped my daughter feel at ease right away. The doctor came in not a few minutes later. By that time my daughter had managed to pop her elbow back in place on her own, just by doing what three year olds do. The doctor examined her thoroughly before giving us the all clear. She explained how nurse maid's elbow happens and how easily it can be popped back in place. She was great. We were so happy to know all was well and felt it was well worth the cost, but much to our surprise, the doctor refunded our co-pay. Since our daughter had resolved the issue on her own, the doctor felt we didn't need to pay for the visit. We did not expect that! Overall, we had a great experience and I believe Pflugerville is lucky to have such a great resource available to the people who live here. I hope we never NEED to go again, but I will definitely be back if we ever do. Thanks again to everyone there! read more
