Pathetic at best, the manager and his partner could care less about the property. I have 3 drive up the largest units in the place and two months late my access still does not work. I call and I get the I am sorry. Guess what, if you were sorry this would not be happening to begin with and you would actriuallly DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I see the good reviews are from a few years back. Hopefully the powers to be will see this and send this guy down to Wilton Manners and give us a real man as a manager. DO NOT GET A UNIT HERE. Was paying $130 monthly, only had the unit for 2 months. Just got a letter in the mail they are raising it to $265. CRAZY. Such a scam, clearly taking advantage of being in the boca area but being a young man I can't pay for this. Such a rip off do not come here. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I signed up with an internet special. After 3 months they more than doubled my rate, telling me there is fine print in the contract that allows them to raise rent at their discretion. They simply have to send you a 30 day notice that they are raising it. They do this taking advantage of the fact all your stuff is moved in and you are forced to deal with rate hike. Super shady tactic. The sales rep Scott should have at minimum been required to mention this, especially since it is such an extreme price increase. Sad that they pedicate their business model to prey on people like this. Come to find out this is something they do on a regular basis to lure and trap customers. read more

I was charged 3 times on my credit card when all my CC was meant to do is hold a storage spot for me until I could sort out whether or not it would work out for me in my budget to rent the storage space but instead of putting it on a hold Extra Space Storage erroneously charged my card 3 times in 4 days and so far they can't seem to Fix it!! I've only gotten credited back for 2 of the 3 erroneous charges on my CC. All of this should've and could've been avoided by them crediting back the first charge that they put on my card to only Hold the unit for a few days. I told them not in my budget to rent a unit there as I was laid off recently but now instead they added two more for a total of three charges in only a few days time and they can't seem to fix this properly!! Be very careful handing over a CC number to Extra Space Storage! Apparently their system so screwed up that every time they did a credit to my account it recharged my CC that sounds great for them but not so good to & for your customers! Very disappointing this isn't even fixed on their end yet and I've been dealing with this for days!! They're leaving me no choice but to dispute it on my CC!! read more

If you don't get one right away after touring, they spam you to death, including intrusive phone calls. I would stay away from them. Rude people. Facility outdoors in the hot Florida sun, too. Your stuff will get ruined if you don't pay extra for climate control. And their climate control is too high, they are too cheap.greedy. It's at a level where mold will grow. Also too many termites. This is the worst storage company ever. Charged our credit card 3 times. We never moved in. We were promised by the area manager Patrick that the credit card would not be charged unless we decided to move in but we decided not in the budget. Then the card was charged not once. Not twice but three times. After hours on the phone this whole situation is not resolved. We keep getting told that store staff has done everything correct. Please .... Never use this storage company. Still have Not resolved our issue! read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! STAY AWAY!!! This place basically robbed me blind the whole entire time i had my stuff there. The "climate control" is a joke. I think they just put a vent in their units for show because they obviously do not work. I came to my unit to find the locking mechanism on the unit door was broken so my lock was useless. It took them a MONTH to get it fixed leaving my valuables unsecured for that time. They were supposed to give me a credit the following month and they charged me full price again. Then refunded the money but charged a late fee! We moved out 2 weeks ago and they charged us for another month! Still waiting on the refund from that mess up as well!!! STAY AWAY!!! read more

Where to begin....I almost cannot find words that could possibly accurately describe how amazing the team is at this Extra Space Storage in Boca Raton. Times have been tough for so many with all that is happening in today's climate, myself included. I personally have been affected by the "Big C," and found myself having difficulty keeping up with my bills. The team at ESS has kept me sane and have offered so much compassion through my difficult time. The brightest star being Suzzette. Suzzette has gone above and beyond to assure I didn't lose my unit which houses all memories of my late mom. She has been so forgiving and helpful, and the communication by Suzette and the rest of the staff has truly kept me feeling understood and also safe from the potential of losing my unit and all the sentimental value that it holds. I urge anyone looking for a storage unit to consider this location! The customer service here is beyond impeccable, and you will soon feel like family. No complaints about this place. I rented a small unit here, and I only needed one for a month. I told them this when I signed up and they assured me that as long as I canceled before the next billing period that that was fine. The unit was clean, the premises well maintained. The customer service was great and helpful with any questions. Canceling the unit was easy-I called them and they said all I needed to do was remove the padlock from the unit; they'd take care of the rest. I received a charge for the next pay period, but without even speaking to anyone it was refunded to me. They're on top of their game here, and I would definitely use them again! read more

Beware!!!!!!!!They charge more than most places. I stored my items there for more than 12 YEARS only to find out that I was ripped off. I recently saw that I was paying 121.00 for the same unit they are currently advertising for 75.00 I called and talked with the manager Kevin and tried to talk to the area manager (He would not come to the phone) and they agreed to lower my cost to 94.00 and then reneged on that price 1 week later. So I moved to Public Storage for 49.00 per month. I foolishly overpaid for so many years don't make the same MISTAKE. I guess they think it is better to get new customers then it is to keep loyal customers. read more
