When the U-Haul supplier I visited was all out of boxes they recommended Boca Box to me. While I only needed moving boxes, Boca Box has boxes of just about every size imaginable, shipping supplies like packing sheets, bubble wrap, and more. They even sell small boxes for selling items like jewelry and such. Medium moving boxes were $2.99 each and large were $3.99. I was hoping the boxes would have handles/grips like those at U-Haul since they do make a ton of difference, but I was in a bit of a time crunch and had to make do. It was a quick operation and the gentleman working the counter helped me take the boxes to my car since I ended up getting quite a bit. Super friendly and helpful store. read more

If I could leave zero starts I would. Absolutely zero professionalism and the worst customer service. The guy apparently named bill, was completely nasty and rude. He asked for an address and I gave it to him and he response was "Jesus Christ" which completely caught me off guard. I then was spelling out the address and he then responded with "you can talk faster". Clearly uneducated and has no type of real customer service skills. Do not recommend. read more

Over the years, I have shipped a full set of china which Boca Box wrapped and shipped and arrived in perfect condition, many trade show booths for my business with each one arriving on time and in perfect shape, and a whole collection of Snow Village houses sent out of state and not one broken. And now I can add having my Christmas present packed and shipped to my mom out of state, arriving on time when everyone else said it couldn't be done. I have been using Boca Box on Dixie Hwy for shipping many high-dollar items both nationally and internationally. Yes, I could save some money by using someone else or going to UPS/FedEx directly, which I used to do. It was just too time-consuming, and boxing delicate items correctly is not that easy. I have never had a package disappear or show up broken. The one time there was an issue with a lost item, the owner of Boca Box handled the tracking, and the item was recovered and delivered. We came in to purchase a box and mail it with our contents to New Zealand. Bill researched shipping methods and told us USPS was the best rate and it would cost us $576.75 to ship which included his $25 packing charge. We thought that amount was extremely high and questioned him re the rate but ultimately trusted that he was giving us an accurate USPS rate. The package is currently held up in NZ customs and we recently inquired with USPS. During the inquiry we saw that USPS only charged $290.15 for the shipment. We went back to Bill at Boca Box and told him he had accidentally overcharged us by $261.60 for the shipment. However he said that was his built in "fee". We told him this fee was never disclosed to us and was completely unreasonable. In fact it was price gouging to senior citizens like ourselves. So in summary he charged a processing fee of $286.60 on a package that only cost $290.15 to ship. He claims he disclosed that to us but he definitely did not. He only mentioned a $25 processing fee. He would not give us the $261.60 refund but finally agreed to a $100 refund which just proves we were grossly overcharged. OK, don't get too worked up, this review has nothing to do with tacos, beers, wings, bagels, tapas, or candles on sale at Nordstrom Rack, nor a #BocaBadBoy [did you know that was one of my favorite nick names used by some?]. This is about BOCA BOX COMPANY, which can easily be missed as you drive North on Dixie Highway, and is located ~ 1/2 mile north of the Mizner Park area, on the east side of Dixie. Their business card reads "South Florida's Largest Selection of Moving & Shipping Supplies", and while I cannot attest to its accuracy, I can state that they have an incredibly wide selection of EVERYTHING you might need to pack and ship ANYTHING, from boxes of various sizes, bubble wrap and those nasty little white things you use to prevent your stuff from being broken, and so many different kinds of tapes, it makes you think if you are missing out on some sort of super new magic tape. Labels which read FRAGILE in bright red, labels which read TOP (sorry, no bottoms), canisters to roll stuff up in and ship, little plastic envelopes of various sizes to put little stuff in, and pretty little boxes for jewelry if you want to gift jewelry to people, which I sometimes do. And of course, they will profesionally pack anything, and then ship it for you, via Fedex, UPS, DHL, or USPS [of course for a fee]. They even rent U-HAUL, if you are the type who likes to haul stuff on their own [I am NOT!] The owner BILL, seems to always be there, has a great disposition, and is also a notary, which can be handy. Their prices are reasonable, their service is efficient and pleasant, and they are the type of local business we should all support. Some of the stuff they sell, not all, can likely be purchased at Office Depot or elsewhere, but they seem to have a deeper inventory, and importantly, staff who know their products, help you resolve your packing and shipping needs, speak in full sentences, and pay attention to you when you are there. When they see you searching for a carton, with a dazed look on your face, they ask "what are you planning on shipping, I'll help you identify the right container/box". Has that EVER happened to you at Office Depot and the other places which sell packing stuff. It's a little store, is crowded inside, almost like walking through this forest with shipping stuff all over from floor to ceiling. They have a large parking lot, which is immediately south of the store entrance, which can easily be driven by if you don't know where to go. If you need any of the above, and appreciate quality service, go there, you will not be disappointed. And yes, they accept all credit cards. I've been shopping there for 10 years, and realized that I owed them a review, especially since no one else had created one. read more

We ran into moving trouble and had to extend the rental of our U-Haul and the employee berated me saying "I guess that sucks for the other guy who rented for today huh?" What can I say about Bill at Boca box company is nothing but excellent customer service! I rented a enclosed U-Haul trailer from him at 4:45 PM and he closes at 5:30 after hooking up the trailer to my vehicle I had a problem with my trailer light connection. We were unable to troubleshoot it at his location so I went down to the U-Haul service center in pompano where they fixed my problem. Bill insisted on me calling him once they had repaired my trailer lights to come back and pick up the trailer regardless of what time it was. Two hours and a half later I called him and Bill met me back at his shop on Dixie highway in Boca and hooked up my trailer and off I went. Can't say enough about the old-school customer service that Bill provided. Every business should operate in this fashion. 5 STARS read more
