It would have taken us days to do it ourselves and things would have broken along the way. They did it quickly and securely and it went off without any incidents. My priority was that the move should be drama free, and it was. I was willing to pay more so that it should be drama free. What surprised me most was that because everything was pre-packed and was an easy move, they charged me less than estimated because it was quick. So I didn't even have to pay more. You would have expected that since the price was linked to how long it took, that the movers would have taken it easy. But they moved extremely quick. So I am overall very happy with my experience.

Ivan and Michael also greeted me on the other end, utilizing the same qualities to deliver my items as well as arrange them. When I wasn't sure where to put something, they were great at recommending places. And when I wanted to change an item's location, they were amenable to that as well. They were so kind and good-humored, and made heavy lifting look easy. I was very happy that none of my many fragile items arrived broken or damaged. Kudos also to Drago, the rep who answered my initial call, listened carefully to my needs and said he'd assign me the best crew. He also was the only rep, of the many I spoke with, who wrote down my inventory exactly as I described it. And he quoted me a price that was a fraction of competitors' prices. Emily handled my concerns with professionalism, fairness, and real diligence. She could not have been nicer. She listened, took the issues seriously, and worked through them in a way that felt fair and respectful. My original concerns about the move itself remain what they were. But I also recognize that any business of this size can occasionally have a bad crew or a bad experience in the field. What matters is how the company responds when that happens. Here, the response after the move was excellent. Credit is due where credit is due: the post-move customer service, especially from Emily, was outstanding. The crates stack up very neatly, unlike cardboard boxes, and are much easier for the movers to move. The drop-off and pick-up were punctual and flexible. We originally booked for two weeks - took one week to pack, two days to unpack. BoxUp was able to pick up the crates early and get them out of our way. Reuben did the drop-off and pick-up and was very professional. BoxUp also conveniently offers other packing material to be delivered with the crates. The green wrap was perfect for small pottery pieces, and the bubblewrap was great to protect art. Looking forward to booking BoxUp again when we have to move!
