    AVOID THIS MOVING COMPANY…read more **POST MOVE UPDATE: the company got back to me and offered me a $100 credit due to their lack of customer service. I decided to go with the company because I really believe in second chances and an all for small business prospering. I was absolutely WRONG to do so. The day started out okay. Three young men came with a truck and they started working. My husband and I supervised them to our best extent without getting in their way. We successfully packed the van and arrived at the new apartment. Once we arrived, I realized some of the pieces of furniture arrived scratched. Not little tiny surface scratches, but FULL on indents into the wood or pieces of the furniture cracking. Now I would kind it so much if they were old, but I literally purchased all these pieces in the past seven months. One of my dining room chairs had a scratch in it, my chest had chips where they carelessly couldn't put the drawers back in, the tv stand foot is cracking, my new dresser that I literally got in December/January has a broken piece (thankfully Macy's is sending a service technician), and the boys carried my mattress by the cover which ripped and is now dirty (found this out they left). I was most concerned with my wood pieces since it's hard to replace, my new dresser alone was over $500. I let the "lead" boy know, his name was Samson and he called his boss but didn't say anything, charged us, and left. I emailed the company with a follow up statement, they asked for pictures. I sent the ones I took, and SILENCE. I finally called today to follow up and spoke with Kyle. He told me their manager tried to call but I didn't pick up. No one bothered to leave a voicemail or send me an email. Kyle told me my options were a credit of $100 or sending a handyman out to fix the damages. Uh what? I declined the credit before ONLY to be offered $100 for you to damage my household goods?? I asked to speak to the manager and he said he wasn't available. I called back to see if he was available and they declined my call or let it go to voicemail. I've attached pictures of the damage AND my phone call receipts. Absolutely DO NOT use this company to move. If you're here on their yelp page, leave. Trust me, they are not trustworthy. They also falsely advertise military discounts, my husband andI paid OVER $500 for the move. I have never dealt with such a TERRIBLE business. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General of Virginia-Consumer Protection. *UPDATE: After writing this review, I was contacted by Kyle and he explained the process to me (which I would have explained that I already knew). I will up the review one star for the promptness of quality control. However, he said that there was no record of me calling, so I'm attaching a screenshot of my attempts. All calls over five seconds were when someone in the facility picked up, said "hello, thank you for calling," and when I started to speak, they promptly hung up. Please don't get me wrong, I am all for small businesses prospering, but as someone who comes from a family that owns a small business, and has worked and managed it for over ten years, I also know that customer service is the cornerstone and foundation. I really hope this gives some insight into how the business is run and managed. ****** This review is based solely on just a business etiquette, I have not used the company. I need to move out of our current place in about a week and I've been super stressed and anxious since we've moved out here about seven months ago and the military moved us. I found this company on Yelp with great ratings and was super ecstatic. However, I am absolutely disappointed with the customer service I have gotten from this company. I i messaged them on Yelp inquiring about their services because my husband and I need to move soon. They responded in a timely manner, but when I tried to ask them about the time on the day of my move, silence. So I called them three times over the phone and they answered...but hung up on me. If you can't do the work and we've been communicating, a simple "we won't be able to accommodate your time" is the proper way to go about the situation, wouldn't you think? I was really hopeful about this company since there were so many great yelp reviews (and I live, love, and breathe by Yelp), but I'm so disappointed. I would no doubt give this company NEGATIVE stars if I could. I would definitely NOT recommend contacting this company if you plan on moving anytime soon. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

They said they waited 15 minutes, even though I had the times of the calls on my phone. That would have been fine, things like this happen, but they were angry and blamed me and told me I would have to make an appointment on another day. When they finally did come they fined me for stains on some the boxes. YIKES, it would have been cheaper to just buy boxes and then throw them out. I was just trying to be green. I'll never do that again.

When we called, we were told that they would reset the gate and to wait five minutes. After five minutes we tried again and it still would not work. We called again and we're told they would reset it again and to wait five minutes. Again we waited and tried and it would not open. We drove to the office and again we were told they would reset it and to try again. After another failed attempt to open , we called and asked when it would be fixed. We were told that it could work later today, it might be tomorrow or it could be two weeks. When I asked about being reimbursed for the deposits on the campgrounds for our trip, she replied they wouldn't do it. She also said they were at the mercy of 'corporate' to get the gate fixed but refused to give any contact details for corporate. She suggested we keep driving back to see if the gate would work because she would have no way of knowing if it would work or not. We waited for a couple of hours and went back. It still did not work. Luckily there was someone leaving that tripped the interior switch that would open the gate. We retrieved the trailer and terminated the contract. It's just not worth dealing with people who aren't interested in helping their customers. AMENDED Corporate called me to go over what transpired today. They informed me that the gate will be fixed tomorrow. They seemed genuinely interested in what happened and making it right. I hope they do fix that gate and address the issue with site management.

While the company was seeking new management the temp manager told us that the lock on our unit was to be cut off & In process of doing so, the locking mechanism was broken. No problem, we were past due & understood. Only allows a space for their lock. The property manager Ashley Medina refused to let me put my lock on the unit after making a payment back in June. I paid the entire balance. Ashley refused because a payment was due 7/1/2022 but it was 6/27/2022. When requested to have the lock fixed after every payment there was no resolution. For almost 6 months regardless of how late or current I was I still have not had access to my unit. Finally after making a payment on Friday, Ashley agreed to unlock my unit. She wasn't open on Saturday she said & I had to call the after hours number. Website says 9-12pm on Saturday. Ashley unlocked my unit, without us present, and left it unattended, which is against policy. Our gate code didn't work so she gave us the property management code, seems like a liability? We arrive at our unit and cannot get the door open. My fiancé has to crawl under the door to see and upon opening our unit it had been TRASHED. Not only that but a significant amount of valuable items and irreplaceable sentimental things had been damaged or stolen. Called Ashley back with no answer for hours. She doesn't consider this an emergency. Long story short, Ashley is an absolutely unprofessional, and incompetent manager. She does not check units, she does not walk the property, she does not do any maintenance work as she made it very clear to us she is the ONLY employee. Also not only are your items not safe and secure, nor is your personal information. The records room door is kicked in, with access for anyone to walk right on in and see everyone's account info. Bathrooms are horrendous, never becleaned, Ashley never empties the trash, Ashley does not document when there has been a break in into a unit, or inform tenants of multiple break ins. she does not take pictures as required by the policy, she doesn't honestly do anything. The cameras have such a short life time on them, which doesn't matter anyways because unless and I quote per property manager Ashley Medina "unless you are dead, dying, the building is on fire or you can't get out the gate, it is not an emergency and do not call her" I can promise you I wouldn't call you for any of those things because she would never answer! The biggest issue we have with this problem is not that our things were stolen, BUT there are no signs of a break in, no damage done to the unit structure, so the ONLY thing that could have happened was that my unit was opened with a key. Ashley has confirmed that her lock was never cut off the unit.... And that she is the ONLY employee, So what happened to my things? Why was I never informed that there was a breach in safety at the facility I store my things? Why wasn't there an email sent, a letter mailed? Nothing? Why was I refused access to my unit even if I was paid up even if it was 3 days or 2 weeks? Why was my lock left unfixed for 6 months? Why was I never called to put my lock on my unit, why did she never follow proper policy? So I have not been able to see the condition of my items against my request even in a non delinquent status. When asked for a manager other than Ashley we were told no, that she would speak with her manager first and if she wanted to call she would. We called, told to kick rocks & then Ashley evicted us from our unit with no valid explanation. When we called the management company back again, we were told Ashley accused us of harassing and following her. Ashley also blames a string of break ins on a "Mexican man that was living in his car in the back lot" well I feel super safe now knowing that you weren't even aware someone else was living on site! This was a last minute thing and the only close company available with units we needed to help our kiddos mom out. NEVER again & I fully intend to get answers as Ashley has dropped the ball. the property manager can open any unit, never send out written notice like she's supposed to, she can delete/never take pictures for your file, she doesn't check locks, she honestly doesn't do anything but become irate with customers when she can't answer a question or doesn't like what you have to say & evicts you when she doesn't want to deal with the issue she created. lastly, property manager Ashley also likes to employ her boyfriend whom owns Plant Management Landscape solutions to harass people, & stand in on conversations with tenants. Instead of calling a supervisor to help she calls her boyfriend. Very unprofessional for her & him as well & is poor representation for Plant Management Landscape solutions while he pretends to intimidate situations he has no business with.

We're not overly strict about these things, but our daughter has chronic lung disease, and we don't allow anyone in our home who's been smoking that day, it's just unprofessional. The issues didn't stop there. Rich informed my wife that he'd made an error in the original quote and left out the drivers, adding a $2,000 charge to the invoice. While we were trying to sell a few items at the last minute, some movers lingered, asking about free stuff. We told them not to pack a broken Sun Joe sprayer, which they took--fair enough--but they also grabbed a folding chair we didn't authorize. We only realized it was missing later, as it had been next to the sprayer. Then there was another $1,600 fee for extra workers, since they needed more help to finish by Friday. They wrapped up the packing by Friday but then took Saturday off, which left us wondering why the rush was necessary. In the end, we faced a 15% up-charge. Rich assured us the trucks would be stored in a "secure facility" overnight. That turned out to be a Best Western and an apartment complex--not exactly what we had in mind. We had AirTags packed with our belongings and could see where they were parked. The unloading process was just as frustrating. We were told the same crew would handle both packing and unloading, but only Rich and one other guy (who left early) showed up--the rest were local hires. The hardware was a mess; nuts and bolts for the crib, tables, and beds weren't kept with the furniture, so not everything got assembled. We're still searching for the missing pieces. By the end, we felt pressed for time and had to arrange for one of the local crew members to return the next day. We told Rich, who agreed to handle it, but he didn't pass that along. The guy thought he wouldn't get paid unless we covered it ourselves. We clarified that Rich was responsible, not us. When we called Rich, he said, "Oh, he doesn't think I'm going to pay? Even better." I asked him to call the guy and sort it out, which he did. The mover returned with his wife, who was pleasant but didn't help much. After hours of missing hardware and partially assembled furniture, the job was finished. Since then, we've noticed broken vases, damaged furniture, and more missing parts. Rich called to check in about our experience. We explained the problems, and he acknowledged them but took no responsibility. "Yeah, I'm not happy they didn't pack the hardware with the furniture." "I didn't like that they smelled like smoke either." It was disappointing. We'd recommend looking elsewhere for a smoother moving experience.

Disappointed by my experience…read more Definitely will not be using again - and I would recommend others find a mom and pop storage company, or a company owned by individuals who see other individuals as human beings. I had a storage unit for 8 months at the rate of $185 per month. When it finally came time to move into my new place and retrieve my things from storage, it was the first week of the 9th month of storing my belongings at storage sense. I assumed there would be a prorated cost for moving out three weeks early- as there have been at every other storage facility I have ever used. (I am 60- I've used plenty.) I swept and dusted the unit prior to moving out, leaving it sparkly clean to ensure I could get that $138 refund allowance. As you probably guessed- I am writing this review because I did not get a prorated cost. Wether or not these things are company policy, it makes a massive difference in regards to securing long term customer relationships. In customer service, when a representative or manager meets a customer with understanding and can recognize an area where you can lose a small amount of money in order to establish a returning customer, it goes a long way- and actually benefits the company in the end. For example- now I have a load of seed for work that needs to be stored for 3+ years starting next month. Can you guess where I'm not going? The businesses I have frequented for 40+ years have made thousands off of me, near to millions. Rest assured that I'll never use this company again nor recommend it to anybody. Hell- I'll drive an hour and 20 just to give my money to individuals I like and respect - and feel respected by. And get this- These sons of bitches have rats too!
