Hello so I have been renting from them for almost 2 years and never made time to give them my honest review. I have always paid on time and literally never had an issue with the staff nor the company. I stopped by a week ago and started to catch-up with a fellow tenant neighbor at the Covina California location. He told me he has felt harassed and made to feel uncomfortable recently by a staff member because he was instructed by a heavy set women with broad shoulders and a ponytail that he COULD NOT EAT A SANDWHICH AND SIT IN HIS CAR while on THEIR property. That he had to be in-an-out like the burger place. I literally did not believe him at first. He re-assured me that oh yes that did happen to him. Fast forward to today. I have never been told tenants have to be off the property by 10:00pm. It does not say that anywhere in the contract and I am an attorney. The contract and written signs posted throughout the property state gate hours are 6:00am to 10:00pm. That means no 24/7 in and out access in my interpretation. Anyways, I was literally in the process of loading some boxes into my vehicle at exactly 10:10pm on a Friday night when low and behold a heavy set women in her underwear and purple rugrats reptar shirt approaches me from behind and instructs me I have to be off the property by 10pm. I was so startled I never seen this person before, I had only heard of her and she was dressed in pajamas? I was very confused so I questioned if she worked there and she broke my personal space by coming up to me physically close and told me again, to leave. I am getting a headache reliving this nonsense so to cut to the end. I was startled enough to call the police and file a police report because I had never felt more unsafe in a place that is literally there to keep our things safe. I called Extra Space the next morning and found myself speaking with the regional manager. I am not sure if they will address the employees behavior and professional conduct but I advise anyone else in this situation to cover your bases and call management to document EVERYTHING. I have also filled a complaint with the California Attorney Generals Office so I will post a follow-up review on my case outcome! No one should have to go through this. Please I advise you to do your research and read the reviews of others who have had issues. The positive comments seem to come from a majority of people who have just moved in and enjoy the convenience of getting access to a unit from your computer at home. It is not accurate. The last thing you want is to have your belongings stolen or worse, encounter this behavior from those you are trusting with your money. read more

Love my unit, surrounding area of my unit is always kept clean. Accessibility to facility is a big plus as well. The experience in my first month has been due to Asst.Manager, Kenny. Always greets you with a warm hello. Offers his assistance with every visit, & has become a familiar face you look forward to seeing everytime you're on the premises. Without Kenny, this facility is no different from the various storage locations in surrounding area. He's a throwback to when customer service mattered. read more

So far so good! The staff is very professional. I am thankful that they allow me to use my own locks (not the cylinder locks). I feel secure that my belongings are well guarded. Great lighting, security (staff on property) and the cameras are strategically placed on the property. A lot of my property was stolen while stored at Public Storage, this location is MUCH more secure and professional. read more
