I was doing a web search for a nearby location when the gentleman walked out and asked if he could help. This was 15 minutes early and he was more than gracious. He let his computer warm up, sent the label to his email, printed my receipt and I was on my way. I don't know about you but this kind of customer service no longer exist in 99.5% of scenarios. I took my aunt here, 30 minutes till closing, as she needed to ship a package asap across the country. The gentleman at the counter not only went out of his way to accomodate us, he juggled a tech support call, a UPS driver loading up a large pile of outgoing shipments and two other requests from last minute walk-ins, all the while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor. This review has nothing to do with the elderly man who assisted me. He was kind and helpful - management on the other hand? Total scammers. I came in for a passport photo for my new passport appointment the following day. It went smoothly, again thanks to the sales associate who helped me. During my passport appointment they informed me they couldn't take my photos due to a small issue with my hair showing. No big deal. But I couldn't leave to go to Pak Mail and retake the photo, so I took a new one at the Post Office to keep my appointment. I called this establishment after letting them know that my photo wasn't accepted and to ask for a refund. The sales associate said he'd ask. I've worked at a postal establishment like this before and easily we would've given a refund since the mistake is on us. But several hours later I was informed a "store policy" said I could only retake the photo and not get a refund. I requested if I could get refunded another way and if I could talk to a manager. I was told they'd give me a call back. Almost a week now, I've gotten no reply. My frustration is if this was a policy, why was it 1) not told to me during my transaction 2) not posted anywhere in the store. I was told this specific policy was in my receipt but I highly doubt that. It's a bummer rather than own up for a mistake they made, they decided to blame me for some secret policy. I noticed the manager likes to reply and argue with reviewers who criticize this establishment on this page. I will gladly own up to any mistakes I've made in this transaction, but again, from my experience as a customer and postal worker, this felt like a very scummy and unfair interaction. Again, all the sales associates I've interacted with here are wonderful. Management definitely needs some lessons in providing good service. read more

Dropped off a box on 5/23 and tracking still saying it's at there location and hasn't been picked up by ups but the worker is saying it did get picked up he's no help at all asked him to look around the whole store to see if it's there and he didn't even bother looking just said no it's not still no update on my box or no clue where it is. read more

I visited Pak Mail Covina and am left astounded by my experience. ****Printed 37 pages (black/white) from e-mails calculating to $2.10 per page for cost of $77.95**** An upcoming trip required printing itinerary and my printer is down. I went to Pak Mail. The various itineraries were divided on 12 emails. I was met by a helpful friendly clerk. I forwarded the emails for printing of the email or the attachment on it. I was advised it was $5.00 computer service plus $.35 per sheet (x31). I paid $15.85 and left with the docs. I returned shortly when I found another email I needed printed. The Clerk was being texted by boss followed by phone call advising it was $5.00 computer service PER email + $.35 per sheet charge. The clerk apologized for his error and re-calculated what I owed Pak Mail with the additional email I brought in with 6 pages. I paid an additional $62.10! TOTAL $77.95! AFTER I paid he said in the future I should place all attachments under one email ($5.00 computer service) and pay the $.35 per sheet printing. I left speechless. That lack of communication before the transaction cost be about $60.00. Out of curiosity, I called UPS on Azusa, Covina and they charge $2.50 per email. Why such a difference?? To be clear, I paid $77.95 to print 37 black/white pages off 13 emails. read more

I did have an issue with a recent visit to PakMail, but after writing my review, the owner responded and invited me back in, to correct the overcharge issue. I received an apology, was refunded the difference, and have a free fax available for future use. Everybody's capable of making mistakes, but not everybody will work with you to make it right. AVOID at all costs if you're shipping anything of value. And insurance won't help. An auction house recommended them as a shipper and they improperly packed a $1000+ sculpture (with just packing peanuts) and it arrived broken in several places. I got insurance on the piece but it took dozens of calls and emails to finally get them to process the claim with UPS, which of course was denied because of their improper packing. Pakmail even admitted they should have packed it differently. Despite that, they are refusing to pay for the damage and the owner (Liandra) has never personally tried to rectify the situation, relying instead on other employees (like Alissa, who tried to help), which was totally unprofessional. We have a mailbox at Pak Mail and have been customers for a few years now. The staff is always professional, friendly and efficient. We have been very happy getting our mail at Pak Mail. My daughter was on her honeymoon in Hawaii and lost her contact lenses. She ordered replacements and they were sent to Pak Mail, At the time my wife and I were also out of town, I got the notification that the contact lenses had been delivered. I called Pak Mail and spoke with Avery he was able to overnight the contacts to Hawaii. Avery's outstanding Customer Service is the reason for this post, he saved the day for my family. I've been a box holder at Pak Mail for over 15 years, and I love it. All packages are delivered to Pak Mail for me. I don't have to worry about the packages being left at my front door and possibly srolen. I have used Pak Mail to get documents notarized, faxed, and copied. I am also able to get passport photos taken. I've had items packaged to be mailed out. All my mail is delivered to Pak Mail. Pak Mail goes out of their way to make sure that all customers are helped properly and professionally. Even though Pak Mail closes at approximately 5:30pm box holders are given keys to enter after closing hours to pick up your mail. You can also take your documents to be shredded Botton line, Pak Mail is thee best place and very trustworthy. read more

But we learned the gift cards were used here in West Covina at the very stores we bought them the day after had package shipped!! Coincidence? ? I think NOT! These people are crooks and thieves. This review is for customer service in regard to issue about Notary service, not about the mail service. Went there for a notary service for docs to get apostille certified. Then, after a couple of weeks, I received a letter back from the Secretary of State saying the signature on the notary certificate doesn't match with their record. So I went back to tell them the signature in the document is bad and I want my money back because I can't send back the same documents just to be returned again. Instead of showing at least apologetic of the inconvenience, the managers only insisted on their "All sales are final" policy... If I had bought an item I can understand. But what I purchased was something that has to do with legal docs. If they are selling a notary signature that is not valid then it wouldn't that be illegal. And look, I am saying it may not be,it may be a mixed up at the State. BUT in the mean time, I can't use this legal doc, what's wrong with good customer service and refund me the money for something unusable that you sold? I was not making things up, I showed the the letter from the State even suggest they SHOULD check with the State and gave her the copy of the state letter and the signed certificate. The attitude though that got me pissed. After the front manager called the supervisor, I was told they would return my money back but they won't service me anymore... uh HELLO... like I would come back here for notary service after this??? The front manager said she understood but it is the decision of her upper manager. OK. Fine. Really bad customer service. read more

The owner of this location is confrontational, extremely nasty (almost ghetto) and will steal your mail if your're not looking. Recently important tax docs, and company confidential info coming into my "box" and for over a month I did not receive anything. Upon confronting Liandra Sapien she started cursing at me when I asked what happened to the rest of the mail I was supposed to receive. She yelled and said tell me "it's my mail system" and she can't help me and it's not her problem and to "go somewhere else". How can this not be her problem? She has to make sure that my incoming mail doesn't get stolen in for a service she's providing that I paid for at her location, does she not? Sounds insane doesn't it? Literally the most horrendous experience I ever had to deal with in regards to dealing with a business owner. I mean look at the reviews. This place needs to go out of business as soon as possible. Something so sensitive as mail and documents should not be left to their callous attitude and their confrontational ways. The service is horrible I had a package shipped there from dhl. I couldn't find the place called in and the person answered the phone told me were closed. I asked for directions still since tomorrow when I comeback I'll know where it is. He refused to tell me 'we are closed of you come I will not help you' after going back and fourth he finally told me there next to the 99 cent store. So I went to see the location guess what!! They are still opened, I walked in and the worker recognized my voice and stated 'didn't you just call?' I said yes I thought you was closed?? He said we are I ant help you!
