On the day of the move, Jamal and Wallace arrived on time with the truck and did an awesome job with the move. These guys can do some serious lifting and quickly moved a lot of heavy boxes and showed us some neat tricks (See attached pics). They also found a clever way by using the lift of the truck across the first floor balcony to move the heavy boxes. Ingenious!! It was a really hot day and there was a lot of stuff but the guys still managed to finish the job in two hours and made the move a lot of fun. They were clever and innovative in coming up with ways to make the move more efficient and faster. This was by far the smoothest and stress-free move I have had in my life. Walter was my main point of contact, and he was very accommodating --- started earlier than normal to help us (my husband just had surgery on his leg and couldn't really participate in a move). Add to the short notice the fact that we had a storage unit to empty, a mothers house to go to and try to fit everything into a smaller apartment in west broad village where they had to fight for curb space. Add to that it was pouring down rain and cold. Walter & Moe showed up on time, very chipper with great attitudes. They decided to split the move and unload the storage unit then go to the mothers house (which was a nightmare in and of itself) LOL. They moved everything with great care, nothing got wet, and we were very satisfied & pleased. Then we realized communication had failed and the 55" TV from the mothers house had not been moved. Walter went out of his way on a Sunday (the next day) to go back and deliver our TV on his own time. This company is hands down the best movers I have ever hired (and I'm 45). They were also on the more economical end truth be told. GREAT value, AWESOME employees, FANTASTIC experience.

One positive I failed to note in my original review is that they did provide 45 days of free storage opposed to standard 30 days. For these reasons, I'm increasing my rating from 1 to 3 stars. ___________________ During the sales and scheduling process, Bold Moving was wonderful. They were flexible and accommodating. They even said they would pack and move liquids if they were not "Flammable or combustible items (gasoline, kerosene, propane, etc.). Everything changed once they showed up. The packers were very nice but told us they could not pack any liquids. When I followed up with the salesperson they responded, "I thought it was only flammable liquids, but you could pack non flammables in a plastic bin not in cardboard boxes in case it leaks." The real challenge started when scheduling the delivery of our items after they were in storage for about 6 weeks. I emailed two weeks in advance asking for a specific delivery date. It was accepted as the first available delivery date, and I was told they would call the day before to confirm the delivery time. When I didn't receive that call, I followed up with them first via email then via phone. I was told they would put our stuff on a truck, and it would be delivered "sometime early next week" which was about 5 days later. It was clear they would not make the date requested but no one reached out to tell us. This was extremely frustrating since I had a business trip the following week. I followed up daily but could not get a confirmed delivery date. I canceled my business trip on a Monday when someone told me they would going to try and deliver our items that week. He was very clear that he would contact me when there was an update. Therefore, I stopped following up. On Wednesday, I received a phone call from the driver. They were 20 minutes away from the empty house I was not at. Due to the lack of communication in the delivery process, everything felt like a fire drill. I lost money on the business trip that had to be rescheduled and incurred additional costs extending our temporary housing. But, I was relieved to finally have our things. The delivery team was also nice, but many items were broken. The leg on one of our dressers was broken. They blamed the packers because the dresser was just wrapped with all the original items inside making it heavier. Some dressers were emptied but some were still full. I could here the contents of our nightstands rattling around inside. Although wardrobe boxes were used, none of our clothes were hung up - just thrown in the box with the hangers on them. Kitchen items were just thrown in boxes. Some of boxes weren't even properly labeled - just "K" for kitchen. Lastly, the delivery team left scuff marks all over the walls with deep dings in some places on the wall. This was my worst moving experience ever. I would never recommend Bold Moving & Storage.

Joseph also sent 4 guys, and that's including himself. All 4 (Joseph, Jordan, Tyler, and Connor) were polite, respectful, and careful with all of my things. They made sure to cover my front door frame with padding so it wouldn't get damaged. They also took apart my dining room table, and beds & put them back together at the new house. Furniture, big pictures, and anything else I asked of them were wrapped securely. The team moved me in only 6 hours. As a reference point: The first house is 2200 sq ft; the house they moved me to is 2600 sq ft. Both houses are two stories with a basement, 3 bedrooms, & 2 1/2 bathrooms. Their packing and move-out cleaning services saved my skin when I had to make a last-minute move and I was very impressed with the care the movers used in handling furniture and my fragile items.
