Today, I got a call from safe space storage, checking to see if we had our travel trailer. I have never gotten a call from them, so found this odd. She told me, it must have been stolen and I need to come down and file a police report. I went down there and it was gone. She informed me they have cameras and they would try to review. Shady and deceptive with the rates! I do not recommend using this location or any other extra space storage locations at all! They will randomly raise the rates and give a bs reason as to why. This place has been a scam from the start. They had inflated rates due to "demand" when I signed up. But now their rates are substantially lower and yet of course they would never offer any kind of discount to loyal customers. I'll move out to another facility for half the cost. A burden they assume most won't undergo which is why they never return your call to see about lowering your rate. Then there payment processing always seems to not work as others have stated. I think they do this on purpose to accrue a late fee because if I log in and hit pay now with the same exact card, nothing changed at all, the payment will go through but auto pay never seems to work as it should. read more

As i stated on google if they would've contacted back as fast after my text as they did when I made the reservation all the aggravation would be gone. Just because the 24 was left off the insurance card which should read 2024. Hell, anyone knows it's a year of insurance. The items were texted on sat and went on Monday only to be told it was wrong. Yet on Sat you tried t use a scare tactic or pressure tactic saying there is only one left. Plus, the price isn't guaranteed. So it could rise the very next month. Just more BS read more

These folks use deceptive practices to rent space, offering good starter rates which, in my case, doubled three months later. I started at $60/month in April 2023 and got a credit card charge for $122/mo in August 2023. I did not receive 30 days notice of this change. When I inquired about the rate change And lack of notice the manager sent a copy of a notice that he claimed was sent in July, but which I did not receive. He told me to inquire with my post office. There is no tracking number so the Post Office has no way to determine if or when delivery was made. Extra Space has all my contact info, they could use certified mail or call or text me to leave a trackable record, but they wont. They were targeted in a class action lawsuit for deceptive pricing that was ultimately taken to arbitration. Beware when dealing with them. read more

I don't recommend this place. Got my truck stolen from here after a month of placing it there. Poor security! Don't put anything that you care about in this storage! Spent weeks trying to get in touch with district manger but the on spot manage never put in communication with him. I recommend going to check on your items every week because apparently they only hold 5 months of security footage. read more

I'm using the facility for RV storage. I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities. The RV/car/boat/trailer spaces are ver adequate ie not packed in like sardines in a can. Lol I only spoke to the employees on the phone and everyone was pleasant, respectful, responsive and did what they had to do to ensure a smooth transaction. Safe storage facility but they raise the rent every 3 months or so. They started me out at $140 then 3 months later went to $162. I think it's based on how many times you come and go. The more you use it the more times they raise the rent since they know you use it often. The renters that have been there for a few years must be paying $1,000 a month by now. I will be changing facilities if they raise fees again. read more

****RENTER'S BEWARE**** They're a bunch of liars. Jerry from Extra Space Storage  in Henderson on Stephanie St. took money from my credit card without my permission. I paid $986 for someone else's unit so it wouldn't go to auction and Jerry the manager used my card to charge their next month's rent for $370 without  my authorization. When speaking with Jerry on the phone he said they kept it on file, even though he knew I was doing someone a favor and I was not in contract with them. Then he refused to refund me the money. I called again and spoke to his employee Patrick. Jerry had Patrick lie and say that they would refund me on that day which was Friday. I called to follow up on the following Monday and spoke to April, another employee. She said they had refunded me that morning, and stated they WERE KEEPING my card on file when they knew I had no affiliation with the storage agreement. I told April that it was an unauthorized charge and it was criminal.  After checking with my credit card company I found out that was another lie, they never refunded me. I had to call my credit card company and report fraudulent activity and I had to cancel my credit card. I personally went to the the Stephanie location that  Monday afternoon and asked Jerry to show me the receipt of the refund that I was told was processed that morning. Come to find out they never processed it. I told Jerry he had no authorization to charge my card once again.  Jerry reluctantly but finally refunded my card while I was standing there.  In addition, all of the items in the unit were heavily covered with black dust and some of the items were destroyed by rats. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a storage company. read more

This location has an employee named Geraldine who was so helpful and resourceful when it came to picking a unit that was suitable to my needs. She was so kind and thorough at explaining payment options, price comparisons between units, and on how the gate app works. We had a pleasant start to renting a unit here at this location because of her. Hopefully with time we have a pleasant experience all the way through. I gave it a 4 star only because the doors to go into the air conditioned building where the unit spaces are, do not stay open. I do understand that it may close due to not wanting to let the air conditioned air out, but I definitely think I and others may have issues carrying in items that require two hands inside. Juggling a heavy item with both hands but also needing to open a large door to the building your unit is at... not the greatest. I advise to just travel in pairs (always)! read more

In the two years I've had my rv stored here i have had my catalytic converters stolen and at the end of April the whole rig stolen out of their secured facility. Then they had the nerve to raise my rent, when I called to complain ( full disclosure it was more yelling than complaining I was hot at the situation) I was told by the manager there was nothing he could do because it came from headquarters. Most places wanted 90+ dollars to store it found this place extra space storage very reasonable priced, if you book online, you do get a discount for up to six months which I liked a lot, even after that six months very reasonable pricing for Storage, I will rent from them again if I ever need to, and I will recommend them to anybody that needs storage. read more

I've been having my storage here for about 6 months I recently moved out of the state, apparently I can no longer make payments online or over the phone which is inconvenient that it has to be paid in cash and because I am 6 days late I have to pay a $50 late fee and I'm also locked out of my storage. Furthermore I started paying one price and it has gone up since then. Worst experience ever. First, Lisa called to tell me that they wanted a timeframe I'd be coming to make sure someone was there, but that wasn't a big deal. I asked to speak with the manager because I didn't know what time if be coming, but it would be during their business hours. She said they aren't normally there during business hours, so that is why o wanted to speak to a manager. How do you post hours and not be there? I was very irritable and a little unfair to Lisa. She was nice, but my point was valid. You can't plan a move out. They said he'd call in the morning. He never called, so I called and asked to speak with him - this clown's name is Jerry Lewis. He was unavailable, so when I got there I asked to speak to him again. When he came in, he completely blew me off and actually walked away while I was talking to him. So disrespectful. They had to call him back, and again he blew me off and started talking to me disrespectfully. When I started yelling, he tried to cancel my contract that I'd just paid for. He even got upset at his team when they told him he was wrong. Great leader, you have there. He's a winner. What company allows their leadership team to act that way? It's sad. Lisa or Terrell should be manager. Lisa and Terrell did their best to help me, but I was already upset that the manager didn't call me back. Terrell really helped. He was the star employee. I hope he doesn't get in trouble for telling the truth. In all fairness, I didn't really give Lisa a chance on the phone because I was upset I needed to provide a time. I was wrong there. If Yelp could let me rate this storage facility zero stars, I would go lower. Staff named ROSA is not friendly and helpful at all. After we got a notice about a price increase, we contacted the local store because we saw the same unit size on their website is 20$lower (with a free first month!), and we wondered if we can keep the same price as before. Ms ROSA told us they could not control the price and that promotion price for an existing customer, and that we can rent smaller size unit for lower rate (People may not know they actually need smaller size). They seem to not care if you cancel or not since they have so many customers. What friendly and helpful suggestion is!!!!! Called Extra Space corporate customer service and heard about the local store can adjust price as they want. The local store is choosing to both lose a customer and give the whole accompany yet another bad name.
