Some times Yelp is a pain. I can't figure out how to update my review. I recently relocated out of Orange County, CA. Sadly it is my home but the craziness going on there in politics along with the ridiculous cost of living chased me & many others out. I moved at the beginning of March, put everything in storage, found a place to settle then had to struggle to get my things to my new home state. The U.S. moving migration is causing massive problems every where with housing & getting trucks. Good luck getting a truck, even more so getting a mover who won't rip you off. I did my own in 2 moves within 2 mos. mainly alone. It wasn't easy but I got it done. I wanted to get my stuff out of CA before they go absolutely berserk w/the masks & shut downs again. State I'm in isn't wearing masks or shut down. We're living our lives and quite happy to do so! You wear it if you want to but it's not mandatory. My space rent was set to increase in Aug. I had to get my stuff out. I didn't want to have any reason to go back to CA. I'm not going back for anything if I can help it. Love Cali, it'll always be "home" but I simply can't live there ever again. Thomas was really great working with me to help me make my transition. He jumped through hoops to accommodate me on so many levels especially when movers flaked on me, & most importantly Uhaul who repeatedly kept canceling trucks by giving it to people reserving AFTER me! He hung in there, offered suggestions, and tried to give ideas. I appreciated that because it was really stressful. My adventure became important to him to make sure I was happy during my tenancy. You don't find a lot of people today that show the type of care and concern for anyone let alone customers, that he did to help me get that space closed from out of state. Josh mimics him big time. Both were always kind, courteous, patient and as helpful as they possibly could be. I had such a string of bad luck trying to get a truck, movers to load/unload and a host of other problems just trying to relocate. I finally got it closed on 7/31/21! The CA movers that were supposed to assist, stood me up, took another job & completely blew me off. I had to do the work myself until a replacement guy showed up. He came too late as I had the job pretty much done in an hour. He finalized it for me so I could get back on the road & go home. I made sure to swing by the office to say goodbye and a big thank you to Thomas & was hoping to meet Josh. Josh wasn't in that day & Thomas was making the community rounds when I ran into him. I let him know the space was cleared out. I will absolutely miss my space because the carts are solid & sturdy, unlike the ghetto hoopty carts at my current space in St. George, UT. It's nicer than my current facility & space too. Looks a bit on the old & dirty side in UT. I really wish that Extra would venture out of Salt Lake City & come to St. George. Storage is so limited here & it's all mostly exterior drive up units that sit in the blazing hot 100+ degree Mojave Desert heat. Your belongings will be ruined for sure. The swamp cooler storage facilities are having a tough time too with this never ending heat wave. I'll miss my space in CA but I won't miss living in CA! Thank you again Thomas for everything. I have never seen such poor customer service ,in my life . Let alone from someone in management . This manger at this place I guarantee was employed at a level 4 correctional facility . And judging by her demeanour and poor people skills she was the mean And scary officer that even the warden feard upsetting her and dealing with her wrath. . he probably passed on his morning coffee if he noticed she was in the break room. The staff I dealt with was very friendly, courteous, and professional. One staff member showed me around the facility and took me to my storage unit so I could check it out. He answered all my questions. The day I wanted to move in I wasn't going to be able to get there before the office closed so the staff member helped me over the phone to complete all the move in steps. The unit was clean. The only problem was that the lock was not removed from the storage unit so I had to come back the next day to try to move in. The lock was still on my storage unit so I called the office and a staff member came and unlocked it for me. The location is convenient to my house, nice wide aisle to drive my truck and trailer down, and I loved that there was a cart to help me move my stuff from the truck to the storage unit. read more

Beware dishonest initial pricing, they raised my rent by 79% after my first four months. Other than that, I've encountered no issues. The facilities are clean and appear secure. I appreciate that there are push carts available for use, and convenient parking has always been available. read more

Great location, clean area (entire lot, units, etc). Customer service has always been very helpful and I haven't had a single concern. I moved from Public Storage based on space needs and location. The price was better than I was receiving previously for a smaller unit and this one is ground floor. Can't recommend enough - great place if you are looking for easy access, safe, clean, secure storage. read more

I have been a renter for over 10 years. I have always had typical rate increases over the years, but I recently received an increase of 30%. Needless to say, I am not happy and do not feel that this is a proper way to treat a long term customer. They obviously know that it is a pain to move your stuff out of storage and they will keep upping your rent as much as they think is possible. read more

My boyfriend and I got a storage unit here and so far we are very happy. Its nicely sized, the staff is friendly and the area is always nice and clean. They have specials that you can find online from time t o time and they have temperature controlled units which are great. They also have different sized units depending on what you are putting in them. If you live around the Spectrum its super convenient too. read more

We tried to cancel our storage unit. They told us that they could take care of it via email which we thought we did. We found out later that our movers had relocked the door rather than take the lock off. Rather than notify us of this, they just continued to charge us another $200+ monthly charge and didn't say anything. Good thing we check our credit card statement carefully and were able to stop this. Bad way to do business and would recommend a different facility that operates more ethically. read more

On my 6th month here my rent was increased by $60. I requested to make an appeal as I have been financially impacted by COVID and have also dropped down to only 12 hrs/wk of work due to complications in my pregnancy. I am living mostly off my savings right now but had budgeted for the storage unit rent. I was told on the phone that their system was down and I would have to submit an electronic/email request, which I did. I never heard back. I went to the location directly and was told they would compromise and only raise the rent $25. Well, the next thing I know they charged me the full additional $60 AND I have received ANOTHER notice that the rent will increase yet again the following month. I have never experienced anything like this before with storage units. Be forewarned that they will continuously increase your rent until you are forced to move out. They do not care about personal circumstances and definitely do not have any sense of ethics regarding the financial impact of the COVID pandemic. read more

Don't ever rent storage from this place because of the manager on site. Her name is Vicky and she's extremely unprofessional, lazy, unfriendly and has no idea what customer service is. She will give you a hard time and is extremely dismissive. I've had a lot of experience with storage units and she is the least accommodating in terms of service. I would go elsewhere. read more

I met Vicki during my first visit and I was very impressed with her professionalism. She had my rental reservation ready and contract up on the screen for me to review and sign. The facility is VERY CLEAN!!! After a few weeks, I had an issue with spiders, so I drove down to advise the staff of this issue. Lexxa and Vicki immediately got some spider spray, we all jumped on the cart and they sprayed my unit. Now that's VIP service! I always know I will be greeted with smiles when I walk in the door. I downsized from a large house in the Midwest to a studio apartment in Orange County. Had stuff I wasn't ready to get rid of, so for the last 5 years I have been renting a large climate-controlled storage unit at this location. This portion of the facility was built only a few years ago and the entire place is incredibly clean and bug-free. I bought gorilla racks from a nearby Costco to maximize the space. Having the unit has been so convenient: no clutter in my apartment and it is easy to run over and get in and out of the unit if I need something. I feel safe here even at night. The staff is super friendly and responsive--they worked with me to apply various discounts and specials to get me an optimal price on the unit. Rates have gone up over time, but nothing excessive. I would be careful with this outfit. I've been with them for 18 months and just like clockwork, they always raise the price every 6 months. Just for comparison. I originally started off paying a little over a hundred a month ( yes, I know it is a special and prices would go up), but now it has gone up and up and up. Now I'm paying close to 200. I'm not sure why they keep raising the prices as nothing has changed. There is no inflation, just a bunch of greedy bastards. But seriously, don't rent with them. Don't be fooled by the smiles and the cheap initial prices. They will get you once they know you are locked in. BEWARE! read more

Good security and like others have said the alarms are really good and loud the only downfall is tones of spiders. I have one of the drive ups and have found 2 black widows and tones of other spiders every time I've gone to storage. Wish they would spray or something but as far as security to your belongings it's great and the access hours are great as well. Would deff give 5 stars if there weren't to many spiders read more

Absolute Pleasure renting at this facility. After fleeing a rat infested Public Storage unit anything would be great, but I'm basing this on years of storage experience. Vicki and Lexa were phenomenal the whole time. At inquiry, at move in, when I forgot my code, through the monthly courtesy calls because I kept forgetting to pay. Excellent customer service--authentic and helpful. The unit was also perfect--clean and easy to access. One recommendation for improvement would be more lighting at night time. Highly recommend this location if storing anywhere near Irvine. read more
