Renting storage units has been a pain. I've been using two storage units from December 2021 until now. I've stopped using one of them today. Items were missing. Someone had been in a suitcase that was stored in the non-climate-controlled unit. I'm not pleased, but without proof of something happening, I'm out of luck. I had enough stuff for two units and now, it all fits into one. Apparently, the cameras and security isn't quite enough. Does any storage facility have good security? There was a price increase, so I was interested in consolidating and I found that someone helped without my authorization. Talked to an owner and she walked back with me. Since there was no forced entry, I'm out of luck. Since U-Haul locations are franchises, they're at the mercy of the franchise owners. Good owners do better.

My boyfriend rented a van from this U-Haul location and unfortunately he accidentally dropped my…read moredebit card and his driver's license in the van at some point. U-Haul contacted him later that night letting him know that they had our belongings. I just helped him move into my place (over an hour away) so we weren't able to run back and grab them. Here we are 12 days later and I'm getting ready to head out and pick them up when my boyfriend calls me and says he reached out and U-Haul threw them away. I know it's been almost a couple of weeks, but there was no timeline given as to how long they'd hold onto our items (I thought it would be 30 days like other retail places). There was zero follow up and we were not warned or notified that they were going to through our things in the garbage. I was upset so I called this location and spoke with a very helpful male employee but he didn't see the cards anywhere and said the manager Pauletta would take a look around and call me back and I gave him my phone number. After a few hours I still hadn't heard anything so I called again and got to speak with this manager. She was very short and rude with me, saying that she already "called the guy back" (meaning my boyfriend) but never called me back after I specifically left my number for her and was told she'd be in touch with me. When I asked what happened to our cards, she said it got thrown out when they cleaned out the safe. There was zero apology or accountability for throwing away our personal belongings. I'm pretty upset with that interaction and wanted to make note of this. I'd recommend going to literally any other U-Haul because god forbid something slips out of your pockets while you're moving stuff around and next thing you know, you're personal items are thrown away without any warning

They prices they advertise online are not the actual prices. They hide the fact that they mandate using their insurance provider. I don't store valuables in my tiny locker so I don't want insurance, yet I am forced to pay for coverage. They raised my rent twice in the last six months. The property is old and outdated, grimy, no climate control, poor lighting, poor security, and zero improvements since I've rented there. Yet somehow my rent increased twice in six months? Homeless are a real issue. There is a homeless camp across the street and many and of them rent lockers inside Stuff N Storage. So don't be surprised when you witness drug use, hang outs, and sleeping while you try and access your locker. I usually like to patron smaller establishments over large corporations, but Stuff N Storage is doing nothing to earn/keep your business or set themselves apart. They are NOT cheaper, cleaner, safer, newer, or nicer than other storage facilities. Canceled my rental and found a better deal elsewhere. Bye Stuff N Storage.

My mother in law is 75 and recently developed health issues after a massive heart attack. I hired Precise and told my mother in law that we would take care of everything. An associate of Precise called my mother in law and proceeded to yell at her when she told him she didn't know the details of the move; as I was responsible for booking it. After raising his voice at her he proceeded to hang up in her face. I got the number and called back. I really needed to understand what type of person felt it was ok to disrespect a 75 year old woman The lack of professionalism and basic disdain this man has for customers speaks volumes. I was reasonable, I didn't raise my voice, and even cautioned him about talking to seniors who might be skeptical about giving info over the phone. He then asked 'do you want us to come out there or not?' At which point I told him I really didn't care for his attitude and I would prefer to hire one of his competitors. At that moment he hung up the phone. The rudeness and utter lack of manners in a customer facing role is inexcusable. I cancelled and contacted Quality Control movers. Within an hour their team called me back and were flexible, and courteous. Save your money for businesses that appreciate doing business with you.

His initial quote was appealing, which prompted a home visit to assess what all was being moved and ensure he had the right number of staff/equipment. We ended up paying a little more than initially quoted, but given the amount of large items we had and distance, it was justified. The day of the move, Robert and his 3 staff arrived on time ready to work! We were thoroughly impressed with how the truck was packed, how quickly the guys worked, and worked well together. No major damages or broken items. The guys hauled ass in 105° weather and were all so kind, courteous, and professional. Robert was very communicative from the beginning to the end. Although we don't plan on moving for a while, we highly recommend The Precise Movers!
