I recently had my storage unit broken into, and our family lost everything. They assured me they had cameras and it was a secure building. My lock was replaced, and then the manager put a new one on, but she didn't know who had installed it. A few weeks later, our bins and boxes were gone. The police and CSI suspect foul play because the manager wouldn't fully cooperate with them. They are processing fingerprints, and I agree this was an inside job. read more

Do not buy storage auctions from this facility. You will be scammed by them. They intentionally stage the auctions after removing anything of value from them. There is no way that any person on this planet would store straight garbage for high monthly cost. Would not admit there faults and how they ripped me off but this is not the first time that I have had issues with this company staging these storage auctions. I've had items stored here for quite some time. Had a issue with the lock and needed it cut off, manager was at my unit in moments to help me resolve my problem. Clean place and never seen any questionable persons inside the gate. It's a big metal gate and the place has lotta cameras. read more

Do not store your items here. We have been storing our items here for the past 2 years our monthly rates started off at 157 and now 301.00 a month. Such a high increase. Not to mention there are rat feces everywhere inside our storage we had to get rid of a lot of clothing items as they chewed through our boxes and containers and yet they continue to raise prices meanwhile their facilities are filthy. Will be taking pictures and posting to social media as this is disgusting and I'm sure other units have been effected with rat feces as well. read more

There should be an option to give 0 stars for how horrible of a service I got from this storage place. The manager Karen has no idea what goes on in her store. Said to me countless times she has to many units to keep track off and doesnt know who's moving out or what, which basically she just told me she couldn't do her job. I was to move out on a Sunday and told Karen this she understood that. Never did she say to remove my lock. That Monday morning I called and made payment for the pro rate, and she said "I haven't done my lock check this morning yet I'll let you know if the lock is on there". Never recieved any phone call until a week letter saying I was 7 days past due. Karen told me she didnt know when I was moving out despite me talking to her. I told her it seems weird and shady that they would let a week go by and then call me after she knew I moved out. In the end they wanted me to pay late fees. At this point my dad called and talked to a storage expert who cleared the fees out and said that Karen was wrong. It was agreed I would come in the week to remove the lock when I can. I called a day later and spoke with someone in her store and told them due to my work schedule and my school schedule I would have to get the lock on weekend. I was told rudely they need me to get their sooner but eventually the guy said he would make a note on the file. The note was never made and I recieved another call from Karen later in the week wanting money from me. The district manager recieved a formal complaint from me over all this and never ever called me back to discuss everything that happened. Karen still to the end kept using the excuse "I have over 200 units and I cant keep track of them and who's moving in and out". Easy fix is to fire Karen and have this company get better standards for their managment inculding the district manager who never took the time to follow through on the complaint I made. Dont waste your money or time putting your stuff in this place. Use another storage company. Also dont believe the first month is free because it's not. They will find an extra installment fee for you to pay where you still paying for a full month even if it's just fees and not the actual rent. read more

They have nice staff, good rates, and decent availability. HOWEVER their rates increase DRAMATICALLY. I signed for $ 29 for 5x5 ($35 original rate with special discount). 7 months later, I get a post card saying it increased to $40. 13 months later, I get another post card saying it increased to $45. Within in 1 year, 65% increase in fee !! I have never been late to payment or had any problem with payments. Not recommended because obnoxious increases in rate, really annoying specially when you cannot do anything about it because you cannot 'physically' be there as I was oversea. read more

I am generally not one to rate places poorly. I like giving compliments where they are due. For me, the way customers are treated is the main deciding factor in ratings. I first would like to compliment John. He has always been very friendly and pleasant. Excellent customer service from him. Karen on the other hand has made me feel as if I'm doing something wrong just about every time I've interacted with her in the last year and a half. It has gotten to the point of me having anxiety about even calling the place knowing she might be the one I talk to. Guess I'm just surprised that an employee is allowed to be so condescending to a paying customer. Other than that, I found the facility to be clean and secure. And I found the prices to be high but that might be because they are twice what I was paying for a larger unit in my hometown. read more

I went in to apply for a storage and a lady named Karen was the person who assisted me , she immediately had a attitude the moment I walked in and started asking for information the experience I had today was so unpleasant she was just very rude For no reason at all . I had also over heard her arguing and yelling at another woman and she was just trying to ask her information about an auction that was taking place that same day . I was appalled by the fact that she not only was rude to me but that other woman Who had come in before me. I would never recommend that you go to extra space storage. Nonetheless I don't believe a company should have a person who works for them acting the way Karen did . I can't believe she still works there being that she has such poor communication skills /lack of good customer service . I will never go there again . I was in need of a storage unit ASAP for mine and my fathers stuff about 2 weeks ago and I came across this location as an option. I called the number that I found on google and was immediately assisted with great customer service. The lady on the phone actually sounded so professional that at certain points I thought she was a pre-recording! She took my info and got me set up to go into the actual location and get my unit. Once I was at the storage office itself I was greeted by Karen who was very informative and friendly. This was my first experience with renting a storage unit and she made it very easy to understand and even went out of her way to take care of certain things I didn't necessarily want/need. Do not rent here!!! First off they have signs that say first month free but when I asked about it I was told it wasn't being offered at this time, even though it was advertised online as well as at their location. The rent was increased after only four months. I mailed a payment to them and they sent the payment back to me rather than crediting to my account. They did this in order to be able to charge more fees. Just an all around frustrating experience dealing with them. There are several other storage facilities close by that are cheaper as well.
