I've been in this storage for about 3 years now. I upgraded to a large size unit about 6 months ago for 265$ a month and life was good until a month ago, when they rented a unit across from mine to homeless people. I could not access my unit as there was trash, human feces and 2 crazy smelly bums talking about murdering people to me. Yes! Literally murdering people. I contacted the front desk as well as the corporate office at least 3 times. Not only the district manager never called me as promised and nobody tried to make the situation better, they jacked up my rent to 323$ that month. No notice, no nothing just charge my credit card. I called for 2 weeks and nobody called me back. Finally they told me that my next rent will be 290 something but 323$ stays. These people are a bunch of incompetent thieves. If after 4th call to the corporate office I won't get a callback and my card will be overcharged without notice, I will call my credit card company as well as better business bureau. This is insane! Nobody treats customers like this. Nobody! read more

You know when people are saying it's better at Public Storage that something is wrong. In the end, it doesn't matter how nice the people are or how clean the space is if there is bait and switch going on. Raising the rent three months into a lease agreement is noxious and disgusting and they do not tell you this when you rent. THEY DO NOT MENTION IT. It's buried in the contract, which they know that no one is going to actually read. Then apparently they get to raise it nine months later - yes, two raises in one year - I actually don't know any business that gets to do crap like that other than storage facilities and they should be shut down for these practices. And replying to someone's complaint here "we have to raise our rents from time to time" is also noxious. Time to time is not twice in a year. Looking for other options now, but if anyone is reading this, pay attention to the bad reviews and learn from them, something that the owners of Extra Space Storage blithely do not. read more

I will say that the facility is clean & well maintained. It also sports a lot of security measures (CCTV, one way entry/ exit gates). And they start you off at a decent rental rate. However, the rate doesn't stay decent if you rent for an extended period of time (I've rented for just under two years & rent has been raised three times). And the customer service is, at times, infuriating - one case, I reserved a space & they rented it to somebody else four days later without telling me (they said they would hold it for seven days). Basically, a good place for storage if you never have to talk to the office staff. read more

I thought I had found a great deal...They lure you in to a great deal, just to raise your rent after the 3rd month! Granted that it is in the contract, but who reads the contract?! I will from now on, but they should point that out so they don't get bad reviews & a loss of business. Not cool to slip one passed your customers Extra Space Storage. We had a storage space in this facility for a couple of years and needed to rent another unit for a short time. As it happened we needed two additional units and a space to park an unused car. Moved from out a town a rented one of their biggest units. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we had to switch to a smaller unit a month later, we got no complaints at all. The place may be more expensive but this is the first storage unit that I've had so I'm unsure. The place is nice and clean, and pretty secure - what more could you ask for. read more

Vey clean affordable month to month storage that provides excellent customer service. Michael got me set up very informative and friendly. I moved all my stuff on the weekend when the office closed so I never called to cancel and got hit on the next billing cycle. I had a myriad of problems with them. Once I called to pay and they were repeating all my info out loud. When I asked them to please not do that since I know their office is open to customers and I was hearing two people talk in the background she just said it was her co-worker and he didn't understand English. Really? They return calls 2-3 days after you leave a message and only after I call again to complain they hadn't returned them. Then when I needed to change to a bigger, drive-on unit I called to confirm they had one and she said yes. When I got there, there was none avail. Then, when I vacated my unit on the 9th (because I needed a drive-on, bigger unit they didn't have) they informed me I could not get even a partial refund because that's what the contract said. Was very displeased with their service. Moved to a Public Storage who have been extremely pleasant and professional and where I am paying less than I would have here. read more

I really love this Extra Space Storage location. It is kept very clean and the customer service is excellent. I dealt mostly with Michael and he was always extremely efficient. The reason I am giving a four star rating is because of the rates. The rates go up often. I also do not like that the insurance is mandatory. I think this is just another way of pocketing our money. They raise rents every 9 months, you don't even get a whole year and when you first rent it goes up in 3 months. This time it was 7%... 10 times the rate of inflation! last time it was 6%. This company is greedy. If I did not have a broken ankle (and being confined to a wheelchair) I would have moved out of here. A 5'X5' closet is now $96 per month. They quote a low price to move in and if you only need it for 1-3 months then they are cheaper than most places. If you rent long term they quickly become more expensive than most. They stated they raise their rents due to increased maintenance costs but they increase the rent more than the rate of inflation (last year the rate of inflation was .7% that's 0.007 and the rent went up .068% rounded up that's 10X's). Corporate is a bunch of crooks. And then they tell you that you HAVE to have insurance on your stuff. Really? why should I have to pay for insurance when it is their responsibility to keep my stuff safe? read more

Went in on a Saturday and there was only one person working, Guillermo. He was with a customer but quickly acknowledged us and said that he would be with us shortly. At the same time two additional customer came in and were told the same thing. Guillermo handled all of us at the same time and was very friendly. Everyone was very patient and understood that he was the only one there. He said that he was not supposed to be there that day but the regular staff was not able to be there. He turned up the AC, re-filled the water cooler, showed us the units, completed the online apps all with a very friendly and reassuring composure. I would definately recommend this location. It's clean and looks like it's very well maintained. I did research other local storage units and they could not be beat as far as prices. I even got a free lock because I am an autoclub member. I hope that the regular staff who is onsite will be as professional as Guillermo Canalas was. He really did seal the deal. read more

I needed a safe place to store all my belongings as I was transitioning a major out of state move. I found this place online, was very happy with the location and online pricing so I went for it. Once I got there, I noticed it was a really well taken care of property with great security features. Michael, in the office, was very helpful and clear to me explaining the lease and agreement. Showed me the unit to make sure it was what I needed. It was an all around great experience during a stressful time. When it was time to end my lease, I did so by notice of email. Checked in on my move out date. Easy check out process and was refunded my un-used days. I would and have recommended the place to anyone needing a short term storage unit. read more

My experience has been great here. Very clean (though the cleaning products they use smell very strong and not pleasant, I would prefer something a little more environmentally friendly) but it's definitely well maintained. The staff has been helpful as well. security seems great and I always see someone driving around checking things out, I even left my unit open one time and they called me and shut it for me. It's also nice to drive up, even if you're on the 2nd floor - no elevator needed. My only other wish than the cleaning products is that there were more push carts. I think there are only 2 and it's usually a bit hard to find one. Though I did ask about it once and they brought one to me, which was really a time saver! read more
