With my first move in 2020, there was a bit of a scheduling issue, causing the movers to arrive later than originally scheduled and with a van rather than a truck (I had been told that it would be a truck in order to fit all of my belongings into one trip). Therefore, it ended up taking two trips. However, the owner made things right by only charging me the original rate for one trip. Mistakes happen and I'm fine with it, as long as the company owns up to it and makes it right. And there were no similar issues with my second move in 2026. The guys had furniture wrap and blankets to protect my belongings. During both moves, I did not find anything that was damaged at all. What more can you ask for!? I highly recommend Man With a Van! In fact, I'm likely going to use them again soon to help with some items that I will need to move into storage.

Man With A Van gave my friend two quotes: a cheaper quote for Two Guys with a Van and a more expensive quote for Three Guys with a Truck. My friend sent the more expensive rate for Three Guys with a Truck. But then this dispatcher tried the blame game of "You didn't specify Truck" when to our surprise only Two Guys and a Van showed up. Lemme ask you a question. If I offer you a hotdog for $3 and a burger for $4, and you hand me 4 dollars, wouldn't anyone with a working brainstem assume that meant YOU WANTED THE BURGER? But my friend was sweet and offered: "Maybe y'all can come back tomorrow with three guys and a truck, because it's really a three person job", to which the movers declined. After a quick call, the dispatcher said there'd be no additional charge for extra trips due to the smaller vehicle. What's more is that one of the two Movers had a bad back and couldn't take the stairs like the other dude. So at some points the job is only getting done by one dude (you could argue one-and-a-half dudes). If THREE guys should be able to make the move of loading and unloading in TWO hours, then HALF that much manpower means... you guessed it: it's gonna take at least twice as long! Not to mention they spent extra time stacking things like Jenga inside the van to make it all fit in one trip. Because the job (that my friend agreed to pay $500 for three guys and a truck) took so much longer with one and a half guys and a van, Paul upcharges an extra $300!! Again, my friend is nice, and they're trying to hash this out cause they didn't get what they paid for, regardless of it it took more time. (And again, of course less manpower means more time). But instead of having a conversation with my friend, Paul starts SCREAMING at them, cursing at them, saying "You're Full Of Sh*t!" and threatening legal action immediately! My friend is begging through tears that they want to make this right; begging him to STOP yelling and panicking them. The mover's felt so bad and embarrassed overhearing Paul act like a jack*ss on the phone that one even offered to pay the remainder, but my friend, still shook up and in tears, said that they wanted to make this right and moved what little money they have around to pay as much as they could. We're ALL struggling out here, and the movers def deserve to get paid. I'm sure the dude with the hurt back needs more money and easier hours, but the company is working him to the bone. But to have this dude Paul berate and coerce my friend, spitting venom over the phone? Shouting until my friend is begging in tears for him to stop? I'm never gonna forget that. And this company needs to make things right. The job took long because of Dispatch's mistakes. They sent 1.5 guys to do a 3 man job, without the agreed upon equipment no less. If you want a stress-free experience: steer clear. If you want some jerk from New York taking out his daddy issues on you: you've come to the right place.

I reached out via cell and Alex responded the same day asking for more info. I texted it all to him. The next day he emailed me a quote and laid out all the info. The pricing was very fair, and based on his quick response time and great reviews, I decided to hire them. I am very glad that I did. My move went extremely well. I hired 2 movers and a 20-foot truck. Eugene and Serg were great. They clearly communicated their arrival time and kept me updated via text. There were 2 pick up locations - my storage unit and my parent's house. They had everything from storage wrapped and packed into the truck in 2 hours. Then we went to my parents for a few more things, we were out of there in under an hour. They drove to Jersey City and then had the entire truck unpacked and moved in and all the packing material cleaned up in 3 hours. It was an extremely hot day and the guys worked really hard and very quickly. My team consisted of Alex, the owner, who honored their 5 % discount if booked 3 weeks before moving, and my movers, Eugene and Serge. Eugene contacted me the day before to confirm & ask some questions about my contents, and he kept me informed all along as to their arrival time. All went well but it took longer than expected with only 2 men. They were careful and followed my instructions re: delicate or previously damaged furniture. I asked if they would tell me when the heavy furniture was coming inside because I wanted to put padding on the legs to protect the wooden floors. This slowed them up but it helped me because I might have forgotten about doing that later. Also, I asked them to carry many boxes to the basement, and that I appreciated so much. I was very concerned about one piece, an antique rocker that had 2 breaks in one leg. Much to my surprise, Eugene placed a reinforced bandage on the leg and I am still using it until I take it to get repaired. While packing the month before, I had forgotten where I had hid some valuable jewelry. Well, low and behold, when my bedroom was already emptied, I saw my 2 stashes of gold and silver on the window sill. When I went to Eugene, I commented that I would never have known if they had kept it, and thanked him profusely. His response, "My parents taught me right, I guess." As far as Albo's rates and overall value go....You can't put a price on this kind of integrity and work ethic. The fact that I used them twice in 2 years speaks for itself. Packing for a move is one of the worst stresses in life. But having a moving company that is reliable and trustworthy will free up your mind to concentrate on other important things during your move.

I don't remember all their names, but Brian and co. were phenomenal!! 2 weeks later Adam and Ari came back with a truck of all my stuff and unloaded it all in my new apartment as requested. They were both so friendly and accommodating. And best of all, all my items (especially my mirrors ) came back in good condition. I cannot recommend this service enough, especially if you need both storage and moving help! The only thing Is I wish I could schedule my pick up and drop off appointments at the same time. I had to wait till my stuff was picked up before I could schedule a drop off date, because their website only allows one appointment at a time. Many boxes showed visible yellow staining consistent with rodent contamination. The odor was so strong that I had to isolate several boxes in a separate room. Despite repeated washing, my clothing and bedding could not be salvaged. I ultimately had to discard nearly my entire wardrobe, sheets, towels, stuffed items, makeup, tattoo equipment, and nail tech supplies due to contamination concerns. Several household items and glassware were also cracked. In addition, my armoire was broken during storage. Clutter has agreed to compensate me for the armoire, but they have refused to compensate me for the widespread contamination of my clothing and personal goods. Their position is that items "packed by the owner" are excluded from coverage. However, multiple boxes -- including clothing and bedding -- were packed by their team. They are now requiring me to provide proof of which boxes were packed by them in order to consider reimbursement. This has been extremely frustrating given the visible contamination and the extent of the damage. I expected professional storage conditions and reasonable care of my property. That was not my experience.

They leave to drop the truck somewhere and return at 6 pm to START packing. Their "professional packing" consisted of haphazardly stuffing things into boxes, including placing liquid filled bottles upside down that ended up leaking through the boxes. The entire time they are packing, the main mover is complaining to us about how little he is paid per hour compared to how much we are paying for the services. It was beyond unprofessional and so uncomfortable, I am just baffled thinking back about it. Unfortunately the same guy showed up the following day for our long distance move across states. The complaining continued through the loading and unloading process, it was extremely uncomfortable and just felt so scummy. We still tipped well and I have a feeling he didn't allocate any of the tip to the other movers as we instructed. For the thousands of dollars we spent on this move, I would rate it zero stars. This storage facility was perfect for what I needed for a few months. I rented a climate controlled unit that included storing my cozy couch! Once I removed my things out of the unit, the items were exactly the same. If you rent a climate controlled unit -- you can only go into your storage unit during their business hours. Award Self Storage offers: a truck to move-in (did not use), along with several boxes and 2nd month rent for FREE! The facility sells boxes and such for typical moving needs. They also have carts inside the storage building to assist with moving items. Overall, this establishment did it's job and I had no issues while there. Also, the staff are nice and helpful when needed. Award Self Storage is 20 mins from Philadelphia which was a major plus!
