Dont hire them, they send me a bill for 138 a hr for 3hr 448, i knew it would take no less than 4 hr so i agree. They charge me $968 to move 2 dresser, 2 beds, 2 chest, a sectional, a wall unit, and some boxes. The guys took 7 hrs, they went very slow, they took apart everything even my box spring just to run up time. When i saw how slow they was going i tried to help the driver told me not to touch his Uhaul truck with my stuff. The manager said their contract state you cant help beacuse if you break anything you will claim. He want to refund me $70. They are criminal. Never pay by hr to move get a standard fee for everthing. I learn my lesson read more

Stay away.... Spoke at length yesterday to lock in a date. We agreed on the date, and I was supposed to receive emails directly after we hung up. Never got the emails. Texted back this morning and got no response. Finally called to find out what was going on only to find out the company has since scheduled that date with someone else this morning. Two movers arrived on time (they kept me posted on their arrival via phone as well). They handled all of my items with care and made sure to ask where I wanted each box placed. Beware. I hired Centurion for a move in May 2018. It was a terrible experience that I still have not recovered from. A one-day move wound up taking 3 days. They came late the first day with no packing materials and had to "keep my things overnight" because they missed the loading dock hours at my new apartment. Then they couldn't deliver my things the next day because they had another job so they had to keep my things another night while I slept on the floor at my new apartment. When they finally delivered everything on the third day, furniture was damaged, lamps were broken, my box spring was ripped. It was a nightmare. When I went back to my old apartment, I found everything had been left behind in the kitchen drawers. After the move I never found my mother's jewelry box, but I discovered that all the rings had been picked out of my own. They packed my clothes by stuffing them into a box (not a wardrobe box) with anything else that was around. Every time I opened a box I was horrified. I've moved 7 times over my professional life, always with United or Allied. This time I tried a local mover. Never again... they didn't wrap the furniture, they didn't inventory the boxes, they didn't pack professionally, they damaged items, and I can't even talk about the things that were lost/gone. read more

They were fine in hiring them, the men were very nice when moved me. One of them broke a glass tabletop and told me dont worry he would take pictures of it and they would reimburse me or get me a new one. I was happy with them even gave what for me was a nice tip. After they left and I strted to unpack, I saw they put boxes on top of boxes marked glass/fragile. They had not taken a TV out to trash as they said they would, old fashioned one 25 inches that weighed a lot. They also did not take a glass tabletop out of my car that they asked me to take since it was fragile and assured me they would bring into house. When went back to apt from which I had moved which was luckily only a few minutes away I found they laft all of the broken glass there. (Darius the one who broke the glass top (and that happens I dont have an issue with it it was an accident) told me he wa staking pictures of the table top and what had happened with it, as well as the rest of the table. He then told me at the new place he would take pictures of the table (which of course was minus the glass) turns out he never took any pictures at all. I contacted centurion first they emailed back I'm so very sorry to hear about you'r experience! That does not represent our company and who we are! Im truly sorry! But what I will do now is Send your claim over to our claims department, And you should hear back from them with in 10- 20 business days" sent to me on Sept 10. sounded good but then turns out this is exactly who and what they are. Never heard back from claims. It is now over a month later. In addition they promised they would replace the top then told me I needed to take pics cause their people didnt. then told me I would need to get a piece of the glass and bring it to their office (about a 30 minute drive from where I live) I told them I would not do that. They broke it It is their responsibility. Then they told me in more then one email they would replace the tabletop only to then send another email telling em it is only 60 cents a pound since i did not get extra insurance that they would give me for the glasstop. Then they said they would replace it, again and now I have heard nothing from them at all since Sept 17th. Based on my experience with them they are liars, unprofessional, and lack any basic respect not only for the customer but for their reputation. They told me "trash removal is not their responsibility" so Darius or other movers did not have to remove the glass they broke. They broke it. It was their responsibility to remove it. read more

They were quick to help me move my furniture, but once they were paid they were unresponsive to giving me a refund due to them damaging my desk during the move. After 3 months of dealing with them for a simple refund, I would NOT RECOMMEND doing business with them I hired them to move my 1-bedroom apartment, but the movers damaged my desk during the moving process. I tried to file a claim with them, but they were unresponsive. I tried emailing, calling, and messaging the first few weeks with no response from them. After a month of constant contacting them, they said they would process my claim and refund me a portion. However, I did not receive a refund from them ,and again I had to constantly email them to ask for an update on my refund process. Slow to respond, I filed a dispute charge through my credit card bank and only then did Centurion send me a money order. After three months of dealing with them for a simple refund, I wound NOT RECOMMEND doing business with them. read more

HORRIBLE experience!! I contracted my move thru what I now would classify as a broker. Ceturion Movers were the ones that showed up to complete the move. I had numerous items damaged/broken during the move. The claims process is a nightmare, as I'm sure they hope people will just give up. It took them 2 month to finally get back to me on my claim and of course they claim they were nit responsible for any of the damages, so my refund was pretty much a joke. Horrible experience from beginning to end. They were recommended to me by a co-worker of mine who raved about them. Booking was fairly easy, however, the interaction before the move and during the move was horrible. Customer service was horrendous. The office staff was a complete nightmare to interact with. I was spoken to in a belittling manner. My moving rate changed and I was not notified. They went as far as threatening to cancel my move the day of the move due to communication issues on their end. Furthermore, my furniture was chipped and scratched during the move and I wasn't reimbursed for any of it. I signed the form at the end just to be done with the move. Thought I had finally found an honest moving company. Owner showed up to do inventory at our home and appeared to be so knowledgeable and honest. Boy, was I duped. Price seemed right until it was all over. Charged us considerably more than initially stated and wouldn't unload our furniture unless we paid first. I felt like we were being blackmailed. The owner ppromised he would be there to oversee move coming and going. He was there only during the packing phase but did not make the long distance trip as promised. Crew was not the same at both ends and one of the trucks broke down along the way requiring furniture and boxes to moved en route. Several items were damaged and/or lost. A check mailed to compensate for broken glass on an expensive lithograph Dali paintIng bounced for "non-sufficient" funds. The painting had been turned around in the garage by the movers so that we were unaware of the broKen glass. A very expensive chrome towel stand from Restoration Hardware is still missing and despite many inquIries, no one from the moving company has responded to my emails or calls. I really shouldn't give one star but I don't know how to give "0". Suffices to say, never use this moving company! read more

Just finished my 70 mile move with Centurion movers. Probably the best experience with movers I have had hands down. They were quick, easy to communicate with, accommodated having to make a stop at our storage unit. Price was very reasonable and fair. Only issue was that the truck was very large and wasn't easy to maneuver around the tiny south Philly streets but that is not the fault of the movers. If you are located in center city just make sure to move as many cars from your block as possible. read more

Worst move ever. The day started with team being 3 hours late, broken down truck. They broke many things, included but not limited to a hole in our king mattress, DENT in our stainless steel refrigerator, lost parts to furniture, scratch walls, hardwood floors scrapped up, put holes in walls, increased price with no just reason. Did not put our things where they were asked. Put bed together without all pieces( bed collapsed in middle of night. Worst customer service ever. I consider the transaction I had with this company to be a complete scam. I clearly identified that I was moving from a specified size storage unit to the same size unit at another storage facility a short distance away. A reasonable quote was given, however when the time came for the move, the mover underestimated the truck size, causing 2 hours of additional work (first trying to put together all of my stuff like a puzzle in the truck to make it fit, then another extra hour going back to make a 2nd trip because not everything fit). They charged me for the extra 2 hours. When I objected, their rep (Radu...not sure of the spelling) was extremely rude and would not allow the objection. He said i owed them a lot more money which totaled double what was originally quoted. I said I wouldn't pay it, and instead just paid them approximately $100 more than the quote. He charged my credit card without my authorization for an additional amount. It's understood that estimates are not exact, but DOUBLE the cost is completely unacceptable, as is putting charges on a card without authorization. I found this company on the internet, the movers were super great. The woman Oana was rude, didnt tell me about a hidden charge that could have been avoided if it was actually explained to me. She sent me a quote for one price, I called back and received a quote for another price. I didnt think it was a big deal so i went with it. I wish that I had not because of her. I struggled with how many stars I should give Centurion. The woman, Oana, I dealt with on the phone was so rude I feel she overshadowed anything else. She is the reason for the one star and I would have given her a minus one star if I could. The actual guys who did the move deserved 5 stars, I believe their names were Nigel and Niles. I would never recommend this company because of Oana. I had some simple questions and she immediately bit my head off, wouldn't answer any of the questions, had NO explanation for the overcharge. After much research on movers in the Philadelphia area, I decided to go with Centurion Movers because of the wonderful reviews they have received from multiple platforms. My move was not easy, to say the least! I moved into a 3rd floor apartment with very, very, narrow stairs with twists and turns. My bedroom furniture is very large and heavy. The movers, Jose, Terance and Thomas, showed incredible work ethic and care while moving my furniture and items. Instead of focusing on the problems, these men were solution based. Not only that, the final cost was much lower than I would have projected with all the problems that we faced (due to the stairs). I would 100% use Centurion Movers again and I highly recommend them. read more

I'm giving the review for Centurion movers a one star because I appreciate the last minute help and how easy it was to book and plan with only 4 days notice. The few gentleman that came out that day to help we're great individuals, they were funny and easy to get along with but I feel as though my quoted amount almost doubled with the non-expectant extra hours needed because of multiple breaks taken. It was a very hot day with the heat( and the electric being off in the property there was no air flow). I was not prepared to pay More then $700 when I was quoted originally $339.00. At one point the men said they were thirsty. Everything food or drink had already been moved from the unit and I felt obligated to run out and grab them water. It was requested by them they prefer Gatorade and if the store had a pretzel or snack to grab that too. I did run out and get food and drinks for them and they sat down down in the shade and took a break. This should not have been my responsibility but I did it because I'm a kind person. On top of the final number being frightening, I returned back to my place to see they have only taken the larger things within my home to move. I was expecting to have my entire home moved. I had to run out to sign off on the storage unit and returned to almost more then half of my home still sitting there. First thing I asked them was to get the large basketball net from my back yard as well as my sons 2 bikes. They never loaded them on the truck. On top of everything, this was my last day to move and anything left behind would be trashed by the owner. I had to find people and inconvenience them last minute to help me and we took at least another 10 to 12 car loads of boxes out of my place as well as another truck to move the basketball net and bikes. If someone was not there pointing and directing, they had no initiative or motivation to do their job properly.. even after it was told to them this was the only day I had left and everything must be moved. I paid out a ton of money and ended up doing a lot of the work myself. I was not happy with this. I received a call. The following day from my neighbor in the unit below me. He asked me if anyone used his tools without asking. I told him I did not nor did I give permission for anyone to enter his storage area in the basement and touch anything of his. His entire new tool set was missing. I have no way to prove if they used it, however they did walk around asking me and another person there if we had a wrench and another tool so they could get my bed frame apart. I didn't have one available and they told me they found something to use.. which makes me wonder where they got it. I'm now responsible for those tools because when the neighbor called the company, he was treated with disrespect and not listened to. read more

I moved this past Saturday and got really lucky with perfect weather. The main office was courteous and spent a lot of time working with me to ensure I understood the contract, what was covered from an insurance perspective, and gave me packing tips to ensure a safe move. My movers showed up within the window they originally agreed and called ahead of time. All 3 men were friendly and experienced. They even said I did a great job with the packing which made the move a bit more smooth. They took the time to wrap the furniture and my very fragile pieces as well as protect my new floors for the incoming home. I felt terrible about having stairs on both ends but they held strong. They wouldn't let me move things around as they wanted me to rest and direct where things should go. Based on my packing skills and their careful placement of my things, not 1 thing was broken in the boxes. I had some dings on my dining room table but they helped lessen it with a repair kit right there on the spot. It was a bummer but given how many things they moved and if this was the only thing, I consider this a very big win. I was very pleased with the outcome of the move and even though I ended up on a larger window for the move, I had a lot of stuff and it was worth the money as I couldn't have done it myself. I would definitely hire Centurion again and was impressed when my movers gave me extra business cards to hand out right at the start. I found that to be a testament upfront in their confidence to do a good job. I will be recommending them to my friends in the future so thank you!! read more

I put in a request through Home Advisor searching for companies to contact and/or to contact me, to get estimates for our upcoming move. Some moving companies called me to follow up, I called other companies to set up estimates. I know it will work both ways. Centurion called me 3 times the first day, 2 calls back to back at night while I was getting my kids to bed 8:30/9:00. (When someone doesn't pick up, take that as a hint and stop calling them!) I haven't returned any calls since I also work full time. They kept calling. Since then i've gotten at least 4 emails and text too, requesting I contact them back. As if they are begging for my business. It's too weird! Just now, I got another call, I blocked the one woman's phone number, and she texted me again from another number. Talk about pushy! I don't care if they have the best movers at the best price, this kind of contact is borderline harassing. Stay away!!!! read more
