Convenient location, reserved online for the lower web rate. I used my own homeowners insurance (brought policy with me at signing) but their insurance seems reasonable. Aaron has good customer service and works efficiently. The place has electronic code access, security, and drive up access to unit. I bought their cylinder lock for $17 or so and there is room to add extra padlocks if desired. read more

OK so I have to say that everything was easy peasy up until the very end. I haven't used a storage unit in quit some time so I guess things have changed.... Unit = Great Space = Great Signing up = Great Closing Out = Disappointing... Ok so here's why, my bro and I cleaned out the storage unit, left nice & clean ( we cleaned it out just before the gate hours ended, only time we had and could get a truck, office closed ). So upon leaving my little bro says to keep the unit closed and locked, he's not sure why but just to be on the safe side ( he had a weird feeling I guess lol). Next day I called to cancel out the unit, thinking I'll have some kind of reimbursement, considering I've only been into the new month for only a few day ( I don't have an exact number but a few) AND I'm told they don't do reimbursements. AND THEY CAN & WILL RAISE THE RATES ON YOU ONCE YOU'RE OUT OF CONTRACT! BECAUSE THEY SAY IT'S KEEPING UP WITH THE COMPETITORS RATE ( I SAID IT'S ONLY BECAUSE OF CHRISTMAS & THE OWNERS/ MANAGEMENT WANT CHRISTMAS BONUSES). SO IN 6 MONTHS I WENT FROM $77, $86 TO $94 FOR MY LAST 3 MONTHS! ZERO,ZIP, NADA, NOTHING, NO, 0 NOTIFICATION THAT IT'S RAISING SO FAST! SO NEEDLES TO SAY I'M UPSET BUT WHATEVER, I'LL JUST PULL MY THINGS OUT AND LEAVE. SO WHAT I DECIDED TO DO IS LEAVE MY LOCK ON THE UNIT UNTIL MY LAST DAY! YOU WANNA GOUGE ME LIKE THAT FINE, BUT YOU'RE NOT GOING TO MAKE DOUBLE MONEY OFF MY UNIT! The girl on the phone told me it's like real estate. I said oh really?! When you rent an apartment and move out half way through the month, they give you the OTHER HALF OF YOUR RENT BACK. Minus the cleaning fees blah blah blah. The point is you get something back. Just so disappointed in how no one cares about a customer leaving your business, especially after I said it's getting way to expensive. She didn't care, she was like "ok bye Felicia!" Didn't ask if I would like to start up an new promo at a more decent price, NOTHING! I know, it's only a storage unit. But I rented a unit when I put my house on the market. It's amazing how much junk one collects over the years. Well. with an Open House on the calendar, we had to de-clutter, and I showed up to Extra Space Storage and had a great experience. Herman was the greatest guy, got me set up pretty quick, and gave me and my 8 year old a ride to our unit, even if was only 50 yards up the row. Quick and easy, great guy. Recommended! read more

Disappointed, that as a long time existing customer my rate is raised every year (from $208 to $218 to $238). I looked on their web site and the same size & drive up access is offered at $169 also with drive up access. I called to switch to that unit and was told I can't move to a same size unit, only a different size. They prices are for New Customers only. When signing your agreement, it states that they can increase 10% every year, and they will. Guess existing customers who pay promptly are not appreciated here! read more

This place does not provide the true rate information upfront. I recently found out that Extra Space's business practice is to adjust the promotional rate that they sell you on after 5 months. Obviously the adjustment is an increase to the monthly rate. After they increase the rate after 5 months they typically adjust the rate every 9 months after. I've been with them for just over a year and my monthly rate has gone up twice. When I called to complain to the manager he had an "oh well" attitude. He was the one that informed me of the rate adjustment timeframe. I complained that it was not good business practice to not inform me of that and it's a bait & switch sales method. He rudely responded back that it's not bait & switch and I can come and remove my stuff from their storage at any time. No attempt at resolving the issue or any type of customer service. They're all nice and helpful when they're trying to get you into their units but when there's an issue they're not so helpful. read more
