I made a reservation for a move from Torrance to SCV with Grant but never received a confirmation- 1st red flag!! Grant and another guy showed up on moving day in a U haul, 1 roll of tape and a few raggedy blankets - 2nd red flag!! They took 6.5 hours to load a 2 bedroom and needed constant supervision. One of them also took a 20 min restroom break in the middle of the move in addition to the normal allocated break. Upon reaching SCV, we found our glass dining table top damaged along with a couple of other items. Grant came over a couple of days later and took measurements to replace the glass table top. Since that day (6 weeks since the move) it's been a game of evade and lies. He says he has the table top on order but no idea of when it is due. Now he won't return calls or messages. Extremely unprofessional and unethical. I have to resort to calling him from unknown numbers to get him to answer his phone. I have reported them to the BBB. The good reviews on here are people who just got lucky dealing with this joke of a company!! Please do yourself a favor and pick an honest, reliable and professional company other than these clowns!

Later that afternoon, I called Ship District back to learn more about their extra services and they had all the help I was in desperate need of! Even though it was later in the day, the guys miraculously were able to get my stuff and coordinate packing and shipping for me. Not to mention, affordable and tailored to my budget. The hassle of moving was on my horizon all summer. Would I make the jump if an opportunity…read morepresented itself? Yes! Looking around at all my "stuff", I knew I was in trouble. It's amazing how quickly one can fill a space. I was at full capacity. Whenever I have a project, Yelp, has been wonderful in getting me the assistance needed. Elite movers was the first (and forever my only) company to request lots of pictures with all cupboards open, an approximation of cost and duration, and customer service that took the time to answer all questions. The move day went off without incident. My crew consisted of four strong fellas-my crap being packed left and right, furniture being moved, boxes toted off, things I wasn't taking headed for the trash etc. They were all done by 1:30 or so and headed to the new place so I stopped for pizza/soda for them. All boxes unloaded and furniture placed where requested. Elite finished their job by about 3:30. I like them less now. The remaining boxes to unpack seem to have multiplied in the garage like bunnies but at least they are in one place. Great value for the money and no stress with packing things safely! Give them a call if your next move has you out of sorts.- they won't disappoint. Thank you!
