Noreen was incredible, with customer service skills worthy of 10 stars!…read more When I got to her counter, she explained she couldn't use the color photo I'd spent over an hour and a half getting from across the parking lot at Office Depot Office Depot because the prints weren't cut evenly or even the same size. I couldn't believe I'd spent all that time there, and the young lady who helped me had set everything up on my phone, only for me to discover they didn't even have a printer app for what I needed. Upon approaching the FedEx Office printing section, I immediately realized I had chosen the wrong business compared to OfficeMax or Office Depot, as FedEx Office was arranged like a professional mini printing warehouse. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed, trying to get it all done just one day before my son's big day, Class of 2026 graduation. Noreen was kind, helpful, and patient. She guided me through the process, and I was so relieved by her professionalism and the fact that she noticed I was exhausted. She was an absolute sweetheart, helping me figure out how to send the photos through the FedEx office photo app, and once I explained what I needed, she assured me she'd take care of everything from there. She gave me a price, and I said, "Okay, let me head back to Office Depot OfficeMax to get my refund so I can put it toward their fees." After returning with my refund from Office Depot OfficeMax, Noreen asked me to have a seat in their customer area while she worked on my photos--laminated, double-sided graduation keepsakes to wear around our necks for my son's graduation day. Noreen, thank you, my dear. You were a breath of fresh air during my time of frustration and exhaustion. By the time you finished, I was a truly happy customer, and the whole store knew it! FedEx Office in Colma, CA, is absolutely awesome, and I'm grateful to you for making my son's graduation extra special. I asked her to jot down her name, then told her manager and everyone else that I'd be writing a review guaranteed to get them all a raise, lol! When I grabbed my receipt this morning to write this review, I noticed Noreen had gone above and beyond for customer satisfaction by writing "Congrats!" with a heart replacing the dot on the exclamation point. Awwhhh, that's such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. #NOREENEMPLOYEEOFRHEYEAR2026;-))))))))

This is a complaint specifically about an employee named Ken…read more I had dropped off a very important package and soon afterward realized I needed to retrieve it because the delivery address needed to be corrected. Returning, I explained that I needed to get the package back and Ken told me, "You can go check the back yourself, but I don't see nothin' back there." A pretty strange response. Another employee actually interceded and told him that customers aren't allowed in the back. She went and checked for maybe 30 seconds, returned and said the packages had already been picked up. Ken then told me the pickup had happened at 4:00. But I had my receipt with me, and it showed a timestamp of 4:11. I showed that to Ken and also explained that when we originally scanned the packages, the machine specifically told us the final pickup for the day had already occurred. So I had a pretty good reason to believe the package was still somewhere in the store. I wasn't upset about the overlooked package, either. What bothered me was that when I brought up the time discrepancy, instead of doing his job and investigating it further, Ken became very dismissive and argumentative. He kept questioning why I was still asking about it because somebody had already checked. He repeatedly said, "I don't understand why you're bringing up the time. They already checked, you saw that, right? Yet you're still here talking about it. I don't understand why you keep bringing up the time." I told him very calmly that I wasn't trying to argue with him. I explained that this was an important package and I needed to make sure it went to the correct destination. But he continued arguing with me to the point that I finally just said, "Let's end this conversation," and walked outside. I called FedEx customer service, gave them the tracking number and they confirmed that the package was still at the store. I went back inside and fortunately a different employee helped me. He was very nice (wish I remembered his name), and he found the package in probably 20 seconds. Ken was standing at the next counter when the employee brought it out. I said, "Looks like the package was still here." Rather than apologizing or even acknowledging what had happened, Ken became defensive again and said, "Yeah, but I wasn't the one who looked. I told you that you could go look yourself and then got in trouble for it." Which is unequivocally rude - and bizarre. Now, I would've given this review one star but I need to give the store manager credit for handling my complaint extremely well. He was kind, apologetic and took what happened seriously. He told me this was not how employees are trained to interact with customers and that the issue would be addressed. I told him I was there at 5 PM pretty much on the dot and that he could check security footage. He said he would and I trust that he will. It made an upsetting experience a little bit better and I appreciate that tremendously.

Great moving experience. Nice hard working normal guys, efficient, kept everything well protected…read more No issues whatsoever. Affordable. No hidden fees.

First off, thank you all for an amazing experience and getting me moved a few months ago 2026!…read more THE BEST IN THE CITY LOOK NO MORE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVING COMPANY. Eddie was my private personal customer representative from being to end. I was even able to book Santiago come out to my unit and do an in-person video estimate. He was extremely professional, thanks Santiago! Eddie and Santiago were absolutely amazing! My 3 man crew was exceptional and professional! These guys are super good at their job! They are the hardest and most careful working crew I've ever seen in my life! I am a very considerate, professional and fair business woman. Based on the original estimate of 5 to 6 hours for the job I had pre-envelopes made for all three of the workers with $50 per hour as a tip so that was an additional $150. Now,I must be honest and I did text Eddie when I noticed another hidden charge on my bill for materials $90.00, I was told tape and wrapping was included! Plus, I had all my own boxes. But, Eddie never replied back to my surprise based on the quick response he would give me before booking them for the job! That made me feel like: "We are done with the job and got paid, so we don't need to answer any of your questions any more"! I also, wanted to tell Eddie that there were 2 long picture frames(holding 21-4x7 photos) cracked/damaged and they cost me $100.00. My original estimate was around 5 to 6 hours it took them 8 hours with a grand total of $1,837.76 I'm here right now that would add the $90 hidden fee of materials and subtract $100 of a down payment deposit. Plus, I gave all three workers $50 tips individually! So, that was an additional $150.00, with a grand total $1,987.97 so, basically $2K all day! I also provided a case of ice water bottles for the workers. Me and my son assisted/helped packing up things too! My son was my translator because one could not speak English and the other one spoke or understood very little English and the third one could speak English very well! So, thank God my son was there and he speaks Spanish it's his 2nd language. So, I really wasn't in a hurry to post this review! But hopefully, they will reach out to me once they read this and make things right! Plus, I was extreamly sick and busy after they moved me! I never really got around to leaving a review. Even with that small negative information that I have to include in this review I would call them in a heartbeat to move me again:-))))! I really liked them all and at the end of the day they did an outstanding job! Might need you again soon LOL! GOD BLESS YOU ALL AT SF BAY AREA MOVING!

In a time where customer service seems to be dead and buried, I was incredibly impressed that he spent over a half hour on the phone with me to go over what I had written, and had already implemented new policies and procedures, with immediate re-training for his staff. It is a rare business owner who really listens to his customers, and even more extraordinary to actually make changes without being offended or angry. Because of Jay's prompt response and swift changes to the training of his staff, I have no doubt moving forward that Jay's Small Movers is back on track to being regarded as one of the best moving companies in the Bay Area. Therefore, I have changed my 2-star rating to a five.

I couldn't help but share this story which reflects positively upon this business, and I will definitely use them for future moves.

I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years but they no longer value my patronage. They not only raised the monthly rent multiple times (which is expected for inflation) but they also discontinued a discount that I had on my unit since they knew I would be a long-term renter. When I tried to negotiate a compromise, all I received back was pretty much a "Don't like it? Then get out." I hate businesses that don't keep their word. Very disappointed how they've become just like any other public storage location. =(
