Very helpful staff. Fair prices and not pushy. Drove from Long Island to this store for Sitka clothing. Very happy with the selection.

When the bow came in, no less than three staff worked with me to set it up, tune it, and review the features.

The staff here are super helpful in terms of pointing out where improvement could be made. Martin, who frequently gives me feedback and answers every question I have, recently recommended that I take the Olympic recurve intermediate class. The class was very thorough, and Martin made sure to cover the fundamentals necessary to transition from a beginner to an intermediate level. During the hour, we worked on refining my under-chin anchor, improving my posture and alignment, developing my follow-through, and introducing me to a more advanced setup. Every adjustment was made with a detailed explanation as to how they improve accuracy and consistency. Throughout the class, Martin gave me advice that improved the mental and physical aspects of my shooting. Afterward, we discussed purchasing my first recurve setup from the ProShop, and he gave thoughtful advice on selecting each component of my kit so it was practical and stayed within my budget. Cannot recommend this archery studio enough for its helpful staff that care about helping you improve

This is a great place for archery! I took an introductory class (1 hour) here and had a great time…read more The instructor spoke a bit too fast so make sure you listen carefully. The class starts off with the instructor explaining a lot of basics about archery followed by several practice rounds. Each round the instructor introduces a new point or two to be mindful of which is very helpful. They walk around to make sure you're doing everything correctly and guide you throughout. The class ends with a few competitive games which is nice, and the prize is a free hour of archery for your next visit. Would highly recommend the intro class if you're a beginner. Staff are very friendly and helpful! They stop and help you to give you pointers. One of the staff members was making sarcastic remarks under her breath about some beginners who were practicing which I found very unprofessional and disrespectful, but other than that, all of the other staff members were very friendly and helpful. To rent a lane for one hour, it's $18 plus $15 for all-day equipment rental. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for archery!

We walked in, and…read morewe were able to book an hour beginner lesson/rental ($35pp, cash only) that was starting in less than 30m. They have a small seating area where you can wait and watch other shoot in the meantime. There's a jacket rack in the hallway and a bathroom available. The staff there was very sweet and welcoming, and our instructor, whose name I didn't catch (tall, long hair), was a great teacher in going through safety and the basics & giving pointers and answering questions! Our lesson just had around 4 people total to begin with, and then 2 joined later, which seemed decent (since you have to wait until the last person clears shooting before we all grab our arrows again). After you're finished, you have the option to take your target sheet with you if you'd like a small momento! It was such a fun experience for me personally and a great date night place. Would definitely do it again and recommend it, especially for anyone who wants to try out archery!

Hidden Gems Archery...you have not failed this Yelper…read more I know 3 stars looks bad, but it's not. I just wanted to set the record straight because I have had business owners in the past message me all upset and whatnot. If you've never taken archery lessons before, swing through...this place was A-OK. I thought I was going to have to add the listing to Yelp, but someone did 9 hours prior...small world. And they also used a Groupon. I was originally going to go to the Staten Island based Groupon archery offering since it was 1/2 as much, but since I would have had to pay the toll to get to S.I, I figured it evened out. For 30 minutes, me and the one other guy taking the intro course learned about the methods and safety of archery. And then we put arrows into things for a little under an hour. We got about 4 rounds in I believe and were alternating on the 4 target course (narrow room on the second floor of some building) with a family of 4 who were obviously members and obviously practiced...they were on some Katniss and Legolas type ish. I feel confident picking up a bow and arrow now. Learned a lot from Q and Tyler. Q provided the archery lecture and it felt like a James Bond movie...you know when Q explains the gadgets to Bond. Except our Q was a woman. With a 99.9% safety rating. Ask her where that .1% went. I went to the 12 PM lesson on a weekday and I think the preceding lessons were packed or so I overheard. So I'm glad I chose the first lesson. It's why I chose the first lesson. Next up, fencing! And then ninjitsu.

Sadly I missed the Yelp event, but I did come here for my friend's birthday party recently. We were…read morea large group (at least 20), and the instructors did a nice job staggering our group with safety instructions and prep while a set of tots were taking aim at the targets. Overall, it was a cool experience. We were buddied up and I paired with my friend, who immediately pigeonholed himself as troublemaker/class clown. He got some special attention from the staff and I received a couple of demerits for not following instructions (I'm oblivious, not insubordinate). Yes, friends, I had two of my arrows removed from my quiver at one point, but I couldn't really blame them as I had ample warning. Once I earned my way back into good standing, the arrows were returned. Shooting was fun and pretty straightforward after a few tries. My only criticism is that they should spend a little less time on the prep and let us loose sooner with the bows (time flies pretty quickly when you're shooting arrows). But I get why they over-prepare with the safety lessons.
