Victor was very knowledgeable about how to replace the HVAC interior and exterior ductwork. He also moved our unit closer to the entry point of the home for the duct work which has made the unit run more efficiently. He also set up a new platform for the unit, reran the gas line via the interior of the home instead of how the previous owners had it. Seems to be a better solution in the long run extending the life of the gas pipeline. All while coordinating with the roofing company while the shingles and flat roof were being replaced. More recently, his team fixed the A/C capacitor and intake current box for a reasonable price and they were very prompt and professional. Really the best A/C company we had here. Extreme Cooling and Heating did a good job with installing metal ductwork on the exterior of my house. They were professional in communicating with me and gave me a fair price on the job. I don't know too much about this type of work, but thought they could have done a better job in measuring the custom metal ductwork that was needed before it was ordered. They ended up making it work with the materials they had to work with. I had to wonder if the job could have been completed more efficiently with more carefully planning/measuring the materials needed for the job (45 or 90 degree angle, etc.) They ended up with a 3 foot section as extra material and had to pull out and add back the interior insulation to make make the connecting pieces work. I do need to complete the job by making sure the metal duct going into the house is airtight. This aspect of the job is important to me especially since we had rats get into the pre-existing flex tube. I went to Home Depot to get the materials to make sure the areas that connect to the house are completely sealed and will spend more time to finish the job. read more

I have a house in the valley that has a heating and a/c system from 1987. Needless to say, it needed to be replaced. Victor came to my house for a free estimate within 2 hours of my initial call with him. He checked the units, took measurements, gave me multiple options, provided with a copy of his business license, and made me feel confident to work with him. Victor, the owner of Extreme Cooling and Heating is an excellent owner and person. When he first came out, instead of selling me on getting a new unit right away, he tried to use a booster to see if my compressor wasn't getting enough power. He did this for free. He came out and provided an estimate for free. After he spoke to me about what happened, and what I needed, he left me a quote. I contacted 3 other A/C installers and they were either $1200-$2500 over what Victor's quote was. I was skeptical that this was too good to be true, but after the work was completed, knew I made the right decision! Just a little history. My A/C broke Wednesday. I called for quotes on Thursday. I selected him and he came out and installed on Friday. Now tell me who you think could do that? Victor installed a Trane 3Ton Unit (SEER 14) with a new furnace at 80% efficiency. Now before everyone gets too excited, he explained to me that the only reason to get a higher SEER value is if I plan on staying long term to reap the cost savings and that an 80% efficienct furnace is plenty in LA area as we don't run the heater very much. We are very pleased with the work Victor and his team did removing old ducts and installing new ducts in our attic. We had almost no flow in half of our house where the bedrooms are and he made sure that the flow was evenly distributed and now with all the work they did it feels so much more comfortable in our home. He also replaced all of our registers, replaced our two filters and cleaned the metal grills where they are placed. They cleaned up and left no traces they were even here! On Saturday Evening our Cooling system failed.One of the hottest days of the year.Several calls Sunday AM,6/19/16 I called several Companies for help. Yikes! Victor of Extreme Air Conditioning and Heating in Canoga Park really loves what he does and he's happy to tell you! Our air conditioner stopped working on Friday and it was about 100 degrees that day. Saturday morning we removed our thermostat and took it to an appliance store. After not getting any answers, we went to Home Depot and bought a new thermostat. We installed it and it still did not work. We went to Lowes and bought another one and that one did not work. We were trying to troubleshoot the problem before having to make the dreaded call to an unfamiliar air conditioning company. We contacted three companies and within two minutes Victor of Extreme Air Conditioning and Heating in Canoga Park called us. Even though he had a full schedule that day and it was near the end of the day (temperatures were around 100 degrees in the valley last weekend), he said he would be here within one and one-half hours - between 5:30-6:30 PM. At 6:00 PM he called to say he was leaving a job site and was on his way. He arrived promptly at 6:30 PM. Who works on a Saturday night! He and his worker arrived ready to work - very professional with a great attitude. Did I mention that he did not charge for a service call! He wanted to stop by to see what the actual problem was so he could give a quote to fix the unit. Who does that! He checked the unit and ended up reinstalling our original thermostat and said nothing was wrong with it. What!!! He then checked the unit outside which had never been serviced and he took the time to clean that unit and let me know it needs to be serviced every year. He offered to remind me each year when it was time. He was here about one and one-half hours til 8:00 PM and he still had another service call to make. Remember, this is a Saturday night! His pricing was more than fair. He even called a few days later to follow up and see how the air conditioner is working. Again, I say, who does that! I called several companies for bids as this was a big project (totally new AC and moved onto the roof of a 2 story house) and they were first ones to come and check it out before sending me a written quote. Victor came out and was so kind and honest. Other companies tried to upsale me into a new heater when our heater is only 2 years old and works great! We cannot say enough good things about Victor and his team with Extreme. We needed to replace an entire HVAC system with duct work in a 1400 square foot home. Victor returned my call immediately, made time on a Sunday to come inspect the attic and give us a written quote (other folks would just ball park and say "trust me" when I asked for something in writing). The estimate included the different prices for different models, sizes, and SEER ratings, none of which he pressured us to pick. We went with a 4-ton 16-SEER Goodman system.
