Walk ins welcome is the best part I've been to escape rooms all over and I LOVE extreme escape The one on i10 was boss (brought everyone I could including the young ones) THIS ONE IS BOSS PLUS 10 Multiple rooms in one, super nice staff, puzzles that involve teamwork, great effects, and puzzles that utilize all the personality types and strengths I like panic room but they don't do walk ins I don't like the great room escape because the actors ruin it with their cheesiness I loved kumnata the one downtown is a massive let down. their customs service is atrocious; no free parking, only takes reservations online for an extra charge, the attendant had us go on a wild goose chase for a clue that was taken out and the last puzzle wasn't even set up. Our first escape room with 6 of us, and we did the "cursed" room, and we did escape with 1 clue! Overall it was fun and we will be back. I liked the interesting way to unlock tasks- very interactive. My main criticism, was the last set of clues was found on a piece of paper that was laminated- it was so well worn, the laminate had started to separate at the bottom and made it very hard to read (in a dark room too) for $30 a person x 6 for 1 hour of entertainment- I expect a little better for something that costs near nothing. We will try another room and see if we have any similar gripes... rest of room was great. read more

Wow!!!!! This place was amazing. We went on a date night with another couple and had a blast! The staff was beyond accommodating. We felt welcomed the minute we walked in the door. Disappointed, especially compared to the other rooms offered. This is our 3rd time at Extreme Escape and "Encounter" was a miserable experience. There was absolutely zero challenge to it and was a complete waste of money. We've had so much fun with the other rooms offered from Extreme Escape, but this one is just terrible. After we were done the staff even said that this was a "mediocre" room and was "one of the rooms we don't recommend to anybody". I wish we would have known this before we reserved it online. The room was very buggy and frustrating. The group knew we were entering the correct puzzle information and yet it was still not working. After we pressed the hint button it would take them about 4 minutes to respond just to tell us we were doing it right and "that is should be working". read more

Such an awesome place for either a date or a group outing!!! Take a haunted house and just lock yourself in one room and you might have just a sense of what it's like to be in one of the escape room situations. Went to the alien space ship escape room. I really enjoyed this escape room with my niece and nephew. We all got to play apart. This escape room was a bit more linear (had to go in a certain order with minimum clues to get to the next step vs clues, keys and locks all over the room). The clue givers did assist to help us get out of the room and point out to ignore certain parts of the room at that time. Enjoyed this escape room. read more

Fun place to go with friends. I'm 23 and a dork and had a blast. Needed a lot of help from our guides (Kendall, Becca, Meghan), but still a good time. Would recommend this activity for pretty much all ages...might even bring grandma next time. read more

We had a great time here! There ended up being a technical issue with our room but management was amazing. Refunded our money, let us do a room later that night based on availability, and a chance to go again on them for the issue. They went above and beyond to make it right for us and we were blown away by their kindness. The rooms themselves have amazing production value, we did get out with time to spare but didn't break any records. Our room was the other side, it wasn't scary but very suspenseful and on the edge the whole time! I heard lots of frightening screams in the room next to us for the Cursed room so I wouldn't advise doing that one if your not into scary stuff like me! Maybe stick with alien encounter or Lost temple for the less scary rooms read more

It was so much fun for my first time with some girlfriends. The struggle was real however as it took us the entire hour to figure out the smallest of tasks. We graciously thank the staff for hearing and seeing our struggle and giving our more than the 3 clues you are allotted to try and move your progress along. We did the 'Stranger Things-esque' room and loved it! Almost made it to the end as we rushed to completed the tasks in the second room. If there was a pay as you go option for another 15-30 minutes we would love it even more! All in all great time, will go back again for sure! read more

The atmosphere was incredible. But the design was poor. When we had trouble with a clue, they were quick to aid and fix the problem but they didn't give us any time back after we spent minutes fixing a problem that was their fault. And one of our clues written in sharpie was rubbed off and illegible. read more

I've been to this location twice now and the last two times I felt sure some parts of the game were not working properly. I'm getting the feeling they're allowing you to fiddle with the non-working parts for a period of time then the person in the main control room over rides that part and activates whatever was supposed to be activated had the switch, button, etc been working properly. When switches work properly you get the "cause and effect feedback". They're designed to do that. The volume of people going through these places is high, things get broken from use, I get that. But they need to shut that room down and get it working before they open it. The industry is moving towards high volume (of customers) vs high quality experiences. I've been in a dozen rooms, when things work correctly it's obvious. When they don't, that's obvious too. Yes, my group made it out of the room with ten minutes to spare. We've made it out of every room under the hour mark. That's not the point. I want a fully working room. read more

I had to come out of the room and try and find a staff to tell them about the issue. The room was confusing and not quite linear and very difficult to follow. A group completed the room we were about to do right before us and the staff allowed them to congregate in the main room and talk about everything in the room, ruining all the surprise of the escape room before it. Please don't wast your money on this escape room. If there is any issue they just offer a free photo (normal 8$ which is free at every other escape room, ever). Stay away for your sanity. read more

I wrote a pretty rough review of a recent trip my family took to Extreme Escape Stone Oak when we were in San Antonio. I'd like to make an update about the review because of how extremely well the management of that company handled my complaint. It's not every day that a company cares about customer service the way Extreme Escape does and it's important to not just mention it but praise them for it also. After reading my review, the manager of the store called me multiple times to talk about the experience with me. (It's also important to note that the employee I lovingly dubbed the "Mall Cop" was NOT the store manager as I had originally assumed.) When the actual manager and I were able to speak on the phone, I was so impressed with the way she handled the situation. We had a very enjoyable conversation and it became quite clear to me that my family and I were dealing with a a rogue employee on a bad day and not a bad company as a whole. I think the manager was as perplexed as I was about the experience. All in all, I left the conversation thoroughly impressed with how important it was for Extreme Escape to make things right with us, one family in a sea of families that frequent that store. Talk about making someone feel like their voice is important and heard. More companies could learn from this one about how to do business. Naturally, because of this I would like to amend my review and fully recommend Extreme Escape to anyone traveling through the San Antonio area looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon with family. read more
