Asked for a specific haircut just moved to Long Beach. My barber Dre completely ruined hair that I took a long time growing out. My hair grows slow. I showed him a picture and was very specific. What I got was a disaster regarding length. I'm attaching the photo I showed him and the haircut I got for reference. My hair was supposed to be kept long I told him barely cut any, quarter inch. He cut it all off! Only doing two stars because he offered to do the haircut for free since he cut it too short, I obviously still paid but I'm literally in shock right now... I have a 3 year old who screams bloody murder for his haircut. Most barbers can cut his hair but there is always a patch of hair either buy one of the ears or at the back of the neck, or throughout the hair. Not this time. Joshua did his thing. The entire head is EVEN. I'm sure it's difficult trying to cut a crying, screaming, squirming baby but Joshua stayed patient and calm, he didn't give up until the job was 100% and he was quick. Piss poor customer service and attitudes!! Try to support black businesses and they make it so hard to do it with their entitled mentality. Walked in to get my son's hair cut and asked how long the wait might be, BU snaps at me saying "I'm not doing it!!" He never offered a possible time slot they may have available or when another barber might be in he just blew me off so rudely. While my son and I we're standing in front of this shop waiting to see if we might catch another barber coming in, we seen what I understand to be the head barber and possibly the owner of the shop walking up so I asked him was he all booked up and his reply was "I'm booked and busy" with a smug attitude and kept walking. None of those grown business men once had the professionalism to offer any possible openings they had either later today or possibly tomorrow, they just looked at me and my son like we were bums off the street begging for a handout. This type of unprofessional attitude and disrespect to customers will be the downfall of this shop. read more

New to the barbershop and started taking our boys to their dads barber. Me being a mom and scared to cut their long hair, De Angelo made us super comfortable and did a great job. We've been there several times after and couldn't imagine going anywhere else. All of the guys are respectful, nice, funny and very welcoming. First off I would like to say that all the of the Barbar's are great. But unfortunately they have some very unprofessional practices. Not all but unfortunately some by that I mean they welcome walk-ins. But as you wait to get your haircut people are constantly coming in and getting their haircut in front of you and the Barbara's claim that they have appointments. This is BS, you don't know if they actually have appointments when they're just friends that come in and get their haircut. This is why I would not recommend this barbershop. They clearly need someone to manage the customers as they come in since they are on capable of managing their customers properly. I found this gem last year 2018 while I was driving on my way to work. I had been to multiple places here in Long Beach to get my sons haircut but he wasn't too happy with any of them. He always specified to them what he wanted but he walked out always with something different. So walking in we were greeted by everyone and we felt a great vibe from everyone too. Our barber-to-go-to is Ray. We highly recommend him but everyone there will have keep coming back cause they make u feel at home. Great barbershop. Dangelo has skills. This is a cool barbershop in the traffic circle area of the LBC. It's located on Redondo just south of PCH. Cool environment, good conversation and all around good barbers. I've been twice, first time I made an appt with Ray at 8am and he did not show up until 9:45am. Mind you this was a day before my wedding so I didnt really have time to waste. Once Ray decided to show up he did a really good job. Three weeks later I decided to go back to Ray. Made my appt for 9am this time since 8am was obviously too early for him. I was at the shop at 8:55am, and left at 9:45am. Ray never showed up. If you decide to go to this barber shop I would not suggest getting your haircut by Ray. In fact the only barber that I've actually seen there on a regular is DeAngelo.
