    Great pre-meal!

Dodger stadium has added a lot of food options, which means you don't have to get a regular Dodger Dog all the time. I went for it this time around and added some spice to it! You can find this spit on most levels near the home plate area. The Brooklyn dog is loaded with grilled veggies and the hot dog was wrapped in bacon. It's a real man's type of hot dog. I got to the stadium early and that allowed me to eat it on the tables provided by the stadium (not in my seat). To go along with my hot dog I got their garlic fries. They are done quite well. I was not overwhelmed by too much garlic so it was easy to devour them. When you combine a good drink you have yourself a great meal before a game! Be prepared to spend almost $30 for this!

    Doyer Dog - $9

Located on the Reserve level. Great place if you want loaded hot dogs. All dogs are pre made so no modifications. Doyer Dog - $9 - Sausage, chili, pico de gallo, and nacho cheese! Sausage had good snap. Chili was very flavorful, not to salty. I want to try the extreme dog next time!

Dodger Dog special for the Marlins.

Dodger stadium has stepped up it's game for the 2017 season. The bacon wrapped dogs were delicious. Seem bigger than the original dog. And you can ask them to keep the peppers and onions off. They also offer a special dog for the other team. My husband had the Marlins special minus pickles. It was just as good as the ultimate dog. This spot will quickly become a fan favorite. Good job Dodgers!

Expect at least a 20 minute wait for these popular dogs. The bacon dog will run you $10 - three times the street price. I passed on the bacon dog and opted for the Cuban Dog - a special dog featured only during the home strand against the Marlins in May. This dog featured ham, swiss cheese, pulled pork (carnitas) and pickles. And, at $9.00 not only was it a bargain (relatively speaking), but is was filling and quite delicious. I think they should make this a regular feature here.

    Frito Pie Dogs!!

Finally got to try their Frito Pie Dog, which is a chili cheese dog topped with crushed Fritos. Yummy!!! Definitely a must-try for Dodger fans. My man also tried The Heater which has buffalo sauce and slaw. He rated the Frito Pie Dog as his #1 for Dodger Stadium, and The Heater as his #2, so there ya have it folks!! I would give this place a 5 if they had more than one location at the stadium, but so far they're only on the Reserve level by aisle 2, which calls for some lonnnng lines. Then again, every line at Dodger Stadium is friggin' long. Bon appétit!!! ;)

The premise is a very cool one. The product is also cool but not in the way we wish. Food generally always is lukewarm. Not sure why the LA health department doesn't require ratings be posted at each individual booth. The lines are long and it's rather difficult to communicate with the clerks and not to mention poor clerks. No fan or AC in these stalls. Inhumane and cruel.

Many come with the intention of getting a TJ Dog, many get talked into it by those selling it, and many succumbed to the munchies. No matter the reason, they're more tasty than they smell (if that's possible). Many have some hot dogs in all stages of their cook state (cooked enough, some char, lots of char, almost overcooked). A lot of the hot dog vendors have their PayPal/Venmo QR codes taped onto their cart. You can't tell the difference between the TJ dogs sold here and the ones in Tijuana. I've personally never gotten sick after eating these. Service is quick, there may be a bit of a language barrier, but not enough to prevent your purchase of a hot tasty TJ dog.

They're particularly amazing if the vendor is set up on a corner, it should be at least midnight, and you should be a couple of sheets to the wind. I don't know if it's the car exhaust marinade or the lard cooking ingredients, but those damn Dirty Dogs are life-changingly good! (Make sure you get it with all the fixings... Calories don't count after midnight.) Whether it's outside the clubs in Hollywood, or you're celebrating the Lakers win outside the Staples Center, those trusty carts are a godsend to LA food lovers like me! Now to find those bad boys, if you're good, you can locate a stand by scouring the city for the queue on corner - the clear indicator of the food stand. But if you're freaking awesome (like my fatty friend, Ellen Sue C.), you can simply stick your head out the car window and sniff the nighttime air to find them. Either way, bacon-wrapped hot dogs are staple in the culture of LA. It's what makes us so damn awesome! NOTE: It has been tough finding these jewels lately, and I discovered on my last lucky adventure that they are required to have permits now, and that many have acquired trucks instead of carts!
