Their menu consisted a huge selection of beer, sausages and dipping sauces for fries. We opted for the Duchesse sour, Dr. Browns Black Cherry pop, Duck sausage, Buffalo sausage, and small fries with curry ketchup. The ambience was great! It felt like a beer hall since it had long tables and benches in the middle, everyone was drinking beer having a great time. There were also smaller cozier tables on the side if you wanted a more intimate space. We enjoyed our drinks and people watched while we waited for our food. The Duchesse red ale sour was really yummy, it was a good balance of sweet and tartness. We got the duck, bacon, and jalapeño sausage with sweet peppers and caramelized onions, the hot dog was delicious!! The sausage was a bit rich but the savory flavours were incredible, it was grilled well with a nice crispy skin and paired really well with the sweet peppers. You also get a huge selection of different mustards to try - yellow, dijon, seeded, honey, brown, you name it, they've got it. The buffalo, cherry and mint sausage was very good as well, but it's a bit more dry and gamey than the duck. The grilled bun is just ok, it's a solid blank canvas to highlight the tasty sausages. The fries are fat boys and seasoned very well. I normally am not a fan of thick fries but these changed my mind, the curry ketchup gave it a nice complexity as well. I just wish they gave you more sauce since the fries are so chunky. :) Had a really fun time overall and can't wait to come back and try their other sausages and beer options.

August 26, 2026…read more Haven't stopped through Pink's in a while and chose to do so because the girl I'm seeing hasn't had their chili dogs... I know, sacrilege. We each get the classic chili dog, hers without onions because she's tragic, and a sour kraut dog with mustard (and again no onions because we are going to share it... huge sigh). The chili is as good as I remember it being... that mealy toothpaste texture with a slick rivulet of oil forming atop it, it just coats your mouth after you snap-bite through that warm soft bun and through the Hoffy dog consisting of Pink's proprietary blend of meats-- too good. It's a signature flavor from my past that I just love to this day. The kraut dog is great too but needs onions. Not to be forgotten in this review, we enjoyed a side order of onion rings. Surprisingly well cooked, they are crunchy and not oily at all; they were quite good. Could've used some salt in hindsight, but still quite good. The family that owns and runs Pink's have this down to a well oiled machine and the folks behind the counter who run the show in the daily? Couldn't be cooler. Efficiently run, food coming to you quickly, a clean and enjoyable set of tables and umbrellas out back to sit under and enjoy the breeze while you people-watch and chow down... what more could you ask for out of a hot dog stand?

The hot dogs were coated with a light layer of sugar, giving them a crunchy exterior while staying soft and moist inside. The melted mozzarella cheese made them even better. The smoothie drinks tasted fresh, and I was told they use fresh fruits in their beverages. Customer service was excellent--the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The only downside was the parking situation. Valet parking is required, and you have to pay, which can be a bit inconvenient. Other than that, we had a great experience and would definitely come back.

I got the mixed cheese/hot dog which was fresh and satisfying to eat. I do wish that the cheese and hot dog could be eaten at the same time rather than the top half being cheese and bottom half being hot dog but I believe thats how all korean hot dogs are made. I got it with sugar on top because I love a sweet and salty combo but it had a bit too much sugar, even for me. I'd ask to go light sugar. Also had a strawberry yogurt smoothie which was delicious, definitely the highlight. However, I was charged for a large smoothie which I didn't ask for which was a bit frustrating.

Many come with the intention of getting a TJ Dog, many get talked into it by those selling it, and many succumbed to the munchies. No matter the reason, they're more tasty than they smell (if that's possible). Many have some hot dogs in all stages of their cook state (cooked enough, some char, lots of char, almost overcooked). A lot of the hot dog vendors have their PayPal/Venmo QR codes taped onto their cart. You can't tell the difference between the TJ dogs sold here and the ones in Tijuana. I've personally never gotten sick after eating these. Service is quick, there may be a bit of a language barrier, but not enough to prevent your purchase of a hot tasty TJ dog.

They're particularly amazing if the vendor is set up on a corner, it should be at least midnight, and you should be a couple of sheets to the wind. I don't know if it's the car exhaust marinade or the lard cooking ingredients, but those damn Dirty Dogs are life-changingly good! (Make sure you get it with all the fixings... Calories don't count after midnight.) Whether it's outside the clubs in Hollywood, or you're celebrating the Lakers win outside the Staples Center, those trusty carts are a godsend to LA food lovers like me! Now to find those bad boys, if you're good, you can locate a stand by scouring the city for the queue on corner - the clear indicator of the food stand. But if you're freaking awesome (like my fatty friend, Ellen Sue C.), you can simply stick your head out the car window and sniff the nighttime air to find them. Either way, bacon-wrapped hot dogs are staple in the culture of LA. It's what makes us so damn awesome! NOTE: It has been tough finding these jewels lately, and I discovered on my last lucky adventure that they are required to have permits now, and that many have acquired trucks instead of carts!
