Fantastic. Couldn't be happier. Saved my dog's eye. Very competent and kind. Able to see us for an urgent situation.

Dr Collins was recommended by Dr Sam Vainisi as Jack had cataracts that left him essentially blind.

ATTENTION - unfortunately this clinic "no longer serves exotics. Just called a few days ago…read more So, if you have PARROTS, at least call first to check for current status. It's always worrisome and sometimes dangerous to transport parrots. No need to make unnecessary trips.

I had been going to Elmbrook Vet for the last three years. I first found them when I moved to…read moreBrookfield, and even after relocating to Wauwatosa, I stuck with them because they had been good to my dog--until now. My dog has been dealing with a minor ACL tear, and I've been carefully managing her recovery. At our annual checkup, I brought this up to Dr. Nelson, hoping for guidance on anything more I could do to support her healing. Instead of offering any helpful advice, she dismissively told me to "just let the knee tear" and "get ready for surgery." She then added something along the lines of, "Oh, and be ready for the other knee to go--just so you know, it'll cost about $3,500 per joint, so you better start saving up." This was beyond unprofessional. Not only was her response completely lacking in empathy, but it was also condescending and inappropriate. A vet's job is to help pet owners care for their animals, not to assume financial situations or push surgery without discussing alternatives. Needless to say, I will never be coming back here. If you want a vet who actually listens and supports you in making the best choices for your pet, look elsewhere.

It's been a hot minute since I left a fresh review. 2020 was a real doozy! Since we haven't been…read moreto any restaurants, I'll give a big shout out to one of the few places we have been, Pewaukee Veterinary Service! That's right, homeschooling 2 kids and keeping a toddler alive didn't feel like quite enough, so we decided to throw a puppy into this s***t storm. We needed an animal doc for our not-so-golden Golden Doodle, Arlo, and PVS came highly recommended by several neighbors. It is really a great option for busy families with odd schedules. They keep weekend hours, offer late evening appointments, and have an ER option if your furry friend need immediate attention. They are also adhering to the Covid19 guidelines and offering curbside pick up to keep staff and pet-parents alike safe. Even after this time passes, I feel like I'll be thinking back to which businesses chose to put the health and safety of employees and guests above all else and feel even better about patronizing them. Our pupper sees Doctor Hillary, who is as knowledgeable and reassuring as she is sweet. The entire staff helpfully informed our decisions on training methods, food, and vaccinations. As a person new to raising a puppy, this was everything I needed and more! They have a great texting feature that sent Arlo's test results right to my phone and they have a drive thru pharmacy if we ever need to pick up meds for our precious pooch. We scoped out a lot of local vets before choosing PVS and now I can't imagine choosing any place else. It is truly a one stop shop for all pet health needs.

In short, saved my dogs life. After another clinic took far to long to catch a diabetes diagnosis…read morePewaukee Vet was recommended by a friend. Within minutes I was impressed with the facilities, it is like a People Clinic, not at all what I was used to. Dr Randy did a thorough review of the chart, and said it was unfortunate, but it is all in the past, and said lets see what we can do. The eye infection we had been treating was actually discharge from the drops and creams the other place we had been going to. Meds were changed, a plan was created to treat. With in 6 months, Diabetes was under control. I had tried to get into a neighboring eye care clinic and told it was going to be at least a month. Dr. Randy had an appointment the NEXT DAY. The folks at Eye Care for Animals worked with him for a treatment plan. With in a year, we actually reversed a cataracts growth allowing him to see out of one eye again. I had a trip, it is hard to find a place to take a dog that needs 2 pills twice a day, Insulin, multiple eye drops three times a day and a special diet. The boarding on site was wonderful. They checked in when I was 1/2 a world away to let me know all was well. In two words, this clinic has been "Life Changing" for both my dog and me. Doctor Randy once said it is important to make sure that MY Life is as important and my pets. He wants to find a balance for both of us.
