He was extremely professional, informative and willing to explain in detail my upcoming cataract surgery. I have now had the first eye done and I must say that Dr. Neahring and all of his staff at the Curry County Hospital were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I must say that all who attended to me as well as Dr Neahring were nothing less than awesome. My surgery went well and Dr Nearing what's exceptional at explaining everything to me as he progress through the procedure. Now, I am absolutely amazed at the sight I have in this eye!! The clear crisp vision is awesome! The colors that I see are so beautiful and vibrant, especially compared with what I experienced while I had the cataract. I am excited to wake in the mornings to experience this beautiful vision that now allows me to experience all the beauty that coastal Oregon has to offer!! I get my second eye done in four weeks!! I can't imagine how much more beautiful this country will look then. Ah, it's such a blessing to see God's magnificence in the nature of Oregon. Thank you, Dr Neahring and staff!!!

Said he didn't know what he was looking at and referred us to retina consultants. 11 days later (Dr. Neahring's office sceduled the app.) we saw Dr. McClintic who diagnosed a detached retina. He was in surgery asap and will recover just fine. What opthalmologist isn't able to diagnose a detached retina? My husband is lucky the damage was not more severe due to the time that elapsed between appts.

They have "dismissed" me without a re-exam, with mis-adjusted & ill-fitting frames; SO, a bad lens, frames not correct, and the 2-year warranty on the frames or lenses won't be honored. What rating would they expect? By the way, when they examine your eyes you only get a written prescription if you pay an extra $49 beyond your insurance (Medicare & Aetna; Medicare will be contacting them); I paid the extra and still didn't get a written prescription!!

The clinic itself feels like a big machine, wait times are long and the wrong location was marked on my follow up appt. card. With this being their error they should have offered to call the other location to ask them to hold my appt., but they wanted me to reschedule. My father had similar experiences. Needless to say I did not schedule the 3rd appt and my new ophthalmologist will not be at Willamette Valley Eye Center.
