They were extremely sweet and careful. I had to come to their back alley entrance. They texted me when they were ready for me. They asked me lots of questions beforehand and I had to sign a waiver. They made me comfortable. The process was a little itchy but these lashes are so light. I don't even feel them. They gave great advice before I left. Be sure to bring some headphones. read more

I LOVE Eye do Lashes. Everyone who works there is extremely kind and professional. Bennett, the owner, has been working with and on my lashes for the last 4 months. She saw what was happening with my lashes, listened to my want/need and executed a plan flawlessly. I went there 2 weeks ago for a touch up and the next day one of my lashes went rogue; I returned that day and the issue was fixed without hesitation. I failed to mention above that I am a woman of a, ahem, certain age going through that time of life where our bodies rebel. With that came the thinning of my brows. The first time I went to Eye Do Lashes I saw a woman with saran wrap over her brows and I asked what she was having done. Three months later, after building up courage (because I have a pain tolerance of -6), I decided to try the procedure - microblading. Dominique (Bennett's daughter) was the technician and she did an amazing job. The money (yes, it was pricey) was worth it. Like her mother, Dominique listened to me (especially about being a pain chicken), said and did everything to keep me calm which included the numbing cream and talking to me throughout. After care was explained thoroughly and I was told if I had questions to not hesitate to ask. A day of two later I did, indeed, have a question. I TEXTED Dominique and she responded; for that I am grateful. They have great customer care. Once I figure out how, I will post before and after pics (again - being a woman of a certain age I am also rebelling technologically :-)). Pros: 1. The environment has a professional, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. 2. The staff and technicians are amazing. 3. Price point is competitive (actually a little less than other establishments I've visited) to establishments I've been to in Santa Monica. 4. There is no pressure to return. Cons: 1. I've only been here twice. My first visit went better than expected. I got a lash lift and fell in love. I don't remember the name of the person who did my lift but she was really nice and understanding. I unfortunately suffer from anxiety and claustrophobia and I felt an anxiety attack coming on while letting the solution sit. To add on to that I also have multiple sclerosis therefore my neck and spine are always in pain specially if I'm laying in one position for too long l. I felt so bad for putting the technician through my anxiety attack specially cause she was pregnant and she/staff were so helpful. I usually don't like to tell people that I suffer from anxiety/claustrophobia and have MS so instead I just said that my blood sugar was dropping and they quickly brought me water and gave me chocolates. I felt horrible rushing her to finish my lash lift but she was so patient with me and made me feel so comfortable. My second visit was more on the spare of the moment and I had just left my doctors appointment and decided to call to ask if there were any openings for a lash lift since I live up the street from here. They had a last minute cancellation and we're able to see me right away. I got there and was hoping that I would get the same technician that did my lashes the first time but she was out on maternity leave (Yay to her and congratulations). I was helped by an older lady who was doing way too much talking and was taking too long to start on my lash lift. I felt my anxiety starting and apologized to her and told her that my stomach was hurting and had to leave. Lesson learned, I am only willing to see someone who can get me in and out quickly because I can't lay in one position for too long or my pain gets worse which triggers my anxiety. I'm still giving this place a five star rating based off my first experience because I know that my health issues are not anyone's fault and specially if I don't give them a heads up. I would love to come back but wish that I didn't have to lay in the same position for 45min during a lash lift. If there was a way to switch to my sides while laying without the rods falling off. read more

Wow. Do not hesitate to book your appointment at eye do lashes. I am a hard person to impress, and i was not just impressed i was FLOORED. I opted to get eyelash extensions instead of putting on temporary fake lashes for my wedding. This was the best decision ever!!! Not only did i not even need mascara on my wedding day, but I hardly had to wear any eye make up the rest of the weekend because my eyes looked so glam naked. To make things even better, Bennett and her staff are the sweetest ever. The store is a very modest but clean and warm environment. Her prices are the most affordable i found in LA and its been about a week since i had them done and they still look awesome. Be prepared to sit still for 1-1 1/2 hours as that is how long the extensions take. They last anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on how well you take care of them ( bennett will explain exactly what to do to make them last the longest). Best decision ever!!1 read more

I had my lashes done here on an emergency visit a few months ago. They were gracious enough to squeeze me in the same day and were very very nice there however, I've been getting my lashes done for 4 years (I have a girl in OC) and the quality of work just can't be compared. I had my old lash extensions removed and a new set applied. The cost was about standard for lash extensions these days. The lashes started falling out the same day. 3 days later, I had gaps in my lashes. Needless to say, after a week, I had to go to my lash girl in OC to get them redone. So, it was fine for the emergency application I needed but I would never go there again. My lash girl's lash application lasts 4 weeks! She is stellar! read more

UPDATE: 8/24/11 A few days ago, Bennett, the owner of Eye Do Lashes contacted me about my recent experience. She was unaware of what happened and wanted to know the details of what happened and current condition of my lashes. I explained what happened and she was understanding and offered her sincere apologies for the service I had received. She also invited me to come back so she could check my lashes and possibly give me something to help with the growth. She explained these circumstances are unfortunate mistakes and also offered to redo my lashes. I really loved my lashes and so I accepted and I am very pleased with the results. Although my lower lashes are still growing in, I appreciate Bennett's phone call and concern as well as Rhia's sincere apologies. I understand mistakes do happen, it's what you do to correct them that counts. Thank you Bennett. 8/14/11 I went for a "re-lash" with Rhia and I must say I left SPEECHLESS! an hour into the process I winced, I told her it felt like my lashes were sticking together... She took a look and confirmed she glued my top and bottom lashes together! Rather than using their "special gel remover" to separate the lashes SHE CUT OFF ALL A THIRD OF MY LOWER LASHES !!!!!! all the way to my lash line. Don't believe me? Look at my picture!! Her only response was "they'll grow back" Uhmm hello!!!? Why am I spending money to have additional lashes and you're cutting of the ones I already had!!! With out the slightest apology or remorse! After seeing my butchered lashes up close I refused to lay back down or let her touch my lashes! When it was time to pay she had the nerve to charge me FULL price relash $65! My girl was very nice, but hard to measure up to my gal, Stacy at Lash Bar LA. Needed an "urgent" fill, so decided to try this place out. I did like the facility - seemed clean and well run. Ran me $25 for a removal and $130 for a full set (I've found that most places won't just fill, they will charge you for a full set - why, not sure. I get it if my previous set was shoddy, but I know for a fact it wasn't). Like I said, my lashes were OK, but did feel a little "unnatural" because they were all the same length (I'm used to a little variation), though very very pretty. Very meticulous. This review is long overdue. I went here over a year ago through a recommendation from my manager and I absolutely LOVED it! Bennett was so kind and had the gentlest touch. I fell asleep almost immediately. When I woke up, I almost didn't recognize my own reflection. It's amazing what eyelashes can do to your look. Ever since then I've been meaning to come back, but didn't have any special occasions to get glammed up for. That is....until my work christmas party last month. My experience was just as amazing as the first. Bennett was there, but another young lady did my lashes (my poor memory can't seem to recall her name.) She asked what type of lashes I wanted (i.e. dramatic, natural looking). I said I wanted it to look natural, but at the same time glam since it was for a Christmas party. She totally understood what I meant. Again....I fell asleep almost instantaneously when she touched my eyelids. I woke up feeling and looking so refreshed. The lashes were the perfect length and they definitely did not look fake (which was what everyone complimented me on.) A full set costs $125, touch ups costs $65. The extensions are attached to each individual eyelash so it looks more natural and not very walgreen-esque. Since its very precise, the whole thing took about an hour and a half. Definitely worth it for special occasions or just when you want to try a new look. read more

Rose has done my eyelashes twice and did such a beautiful job, aesthetically they were really gorgeous. Unfortunately, I have bad allergies and rub my eyes all the time and when you get one of those lashes in your eyes -----WHEW BOY. it's terrible. ANYWAY, lashes are prob not a good investment of my $ since i rub my eyes a lot and they don't last as long on me as they do other people. But YOU should def get them. Amazing. Bennett, the owner, did my lashes. I truly appreciated doing business with her. I am a lifer! To be honest, I was afraid to go because of the nightmarish issues I dealt with at Salon on 6th in DTLA. What a shyte job! My eyelashes are 1/5 as thick as they were before I went to their wannabe esthetician. Stay away from Van. He is dishonest, rude and needs to be fired. Anyhow, if you want your lashes done right, go to Eye Do. The professionalism there has righted my past eyelash wrongs. They even send a follow up email. Classy! UPDATE: Over the holiday weekend, I lost a noticeable amount of the extensions. My mom and I were having dinner and she said that it looked like the extensions had thinned quite a bit on one eye. Once I took a long look, I had to agree. I haven't done anything to my face that was advised against in the follow up email. So, I called the boutique this morning. They asked me what I had done in between now and then and I said that I did what the instructions laid out. My clearly stating this didn't seem to matter because I was asked everything from what I did right when I left to if it was hot where I lived and if I worked out. Come on. Seriously?! The lady took down my number and is supposed to get back with me. To be honest, I am annoyed that this happened in one week and that I had to endure a gamut of questions that I essentially answered when I called. The bottom line is that it's been ONE week and I am experiencing an unpleasant situation based around services I received. I want it corrected and not to be hit with some circular questionnaire. The only thing that happened that was pertinent to the questioning was the local temperature over the weekend. It was around 96 degrees where I live. Jesus Christ. I have just started getting my lashes lifted here and I have to say, I am impressed. For a much cheaper price than others in the LA area you get a quality lash lift that lasts visibly for two months. Although they say three months, by the third month, half the lashes are lifted, and half the lashes are natural. At least for me. My lashes are naturally straight and strong and they have somehow managed to keep them curled. No more fake eyelashes and eyelash curlers that don't work! read more

I just tried out eyelash peeking for the first time today and I already love it! Eye Do Lashes did their best to fit me in their schedule as soon as possible, even though I wanted to come in after their usual closing hours, so I appreciated that very much. They even put up with me and respectfully helped me find the next best appointment when I messed up with confirming for the first appointment I made. I was greeted and helped by Dominique, who was super friendly and professional. Being that it was my first time, she was able to help me choose the style that would work best with my eye lashes. I am definitely happy with her suggestion and the way my lashes turned out! The whole process was comfortable too and Dominique made sure to offer me a blanket before and after she noticed I got cold. The place was also cute, atmospheric, and played soothing music. I even took a nap while the chemicals did their magic. I did feel a little bit of burning/itching while waiting, which is normal, I would assume, when you have chemicals and fumes near your eyes, especially with sensitive ones like mine. Something similar actually happened when I got extensions at a different place previously. But the best parts about Eye Do Lashes are that they're affordable, close by, and I only have to get my lashes permed every 2 months. one of the first things i wanted to cross off my list after moving from NY to LA was to find a lash place. after trying out several different salons and individuals ALL over LA, i was very excited to finally fine eye do. not only are they affordable, but they are located by my house AND my work - so i get to sneak away for a "long lunch" and come back with beautiful eyes haha! the staff is very friendly and you can tell them that you have to leave by a certain time and they'll be sure to tell your technician. bennett, the owner, is my favorite. she explains to you the process, what eyelash design works best for your eye shape, and how to take care of them. they are also very accommodating when it comes to emergency fixes. again, i've tried so many places here - most of the time they never last or they look really clumpy. so i'm glad to find a place that's fair priced, convenient, and makes my eyes pop! read more

Ok...so I've been coming here since January of this year...all thanks to yelp! It's probably one of the most inexpensive places to get eyelash extensions so I was a little weary about it, but hey...what did I have to lose? It wasn't like I had soooo many lashes! Anyway, the place is small but cute. Bennett did my first extensions....and Seta's been doing them ever since (I come back every 3-4 weeks). Both have done a great job! I came into Eye Do Lashes to get a lash lift and also to get my hair done because I was heading to a concert. The service i received was wonderful and I was so pleased! Rose did a fantastic job on my lashes and really gave them a lift! The aura of the shop was so soothing and it was easy to just relax and wait to look pretty! She was very gentle and cautious (which all aestheticians should be) while doing them, being careful not to hurt my eyes. When my service was done, I looked in the mirror and was in awe. My face looked "alive" and my eyes really opened up. She also waxed my eyebrows and let me tell you, it did hurt but it was very quick and my face cleared up after. It made my face look cleaner and it gave my eyebrows a definite shape. Then I went to Dominique to get my hair done. I was so happy with the outcome! She managed to turn my chlorine damaged hair into this soft silky "commercial worthy hair" by conditioning it. She did a great job with my layers and made my hair more voluminous! Dominique was also very cautious with cutting my hair, making sure it was really the cut I wanted (because we all know, we ladies, are very sensitive when it comes to our hair!) I've been here several times and they do an excellent job with lash extensions. I've made last minute appointments and had them done by probably everyone there and never had a bad experience. There are definitely places that are more expensive than Eye Do Lashes, but there are now a lot of places where it's a little cheaper as well, so I have had to go elsewhere to maintain on a student's budget. Everyone is really friendly and professional. I used to come and get my lashes done as a way to just relax and have some "me time". Parking can be a challenging, but I've always managed to find a spot on the street in front. read more

I tried getting a lash lift for the first time to bump up my stick straight Asian lashes and I was very happy with the results. I didn't know what to expect going in since I had never done semi-permanent cosmetic procedures such as this before but I was so comfortable and Dominique did such a great job with the little eyelashes I have to work with. This place is definitely twice as much as I usually pay, but wanted to get brows done on short notice so I came here. They do accept walk ins which is great. The place was very clean and had a waiting area with magazines to read. The woman who did my eyebrows did a very nice job and was thorough and paid attention to detail which I appreciated. The only down sides were how much they push their other services for lashes (which was really annoying to me) and that they do not have a dedicated parking lot. read more

The first time I got my lashes here, Bennett applied them and used a much heavier lash than what I am used to. At first, I thought it looked too unnatural, but the next day I was really happy with it. I've gone back a couple times, but I do feel that the lashes fall out a bit too soon. And it is always the corner ones, so the most noticeable :(. However, the service is good. After the last time I had them done, I felt like the lashes took a lot of my natural ones with them when they fell out, so I am taking a break and giving myself some re-growth time. This is an updated review from my previous one, which I deleted, but I will rephrase and summarize. June 27, 2017 - appointment at 4:30 for eyelash extensions - had a male do my lashes - an hour later, I was in tears because I was in so much pain after the procedure. Very disappointed with the experience because my eyes stung a lot. - came home and wrote a very long one starred review, but was then shortly contacted by the owner around 10PM, who was very apologetic and kind. Told me to come back so someone can remove the lashes and I agreed. June 28,2017 - went to the ER because my eyes were still incredibly red even after I washed my eyes. Everything stung and I was immensely concerned my cornea had been scratched from the procedure so I admitted myself to the ER at 11:45PM - doctor saw me and diagnosed me with chemical conjunctivitis (pinkeye) because he said some chemical did get in my eye and the gel pad irritated it. So, basically the lower half of my eye was red and had scratches. He told me to take it easy and apply antibiotics for a few days to make sure the cut inside my eye wouldn't get any more infected. - Came home at 2AM, went to class at 6AM, and then back to eye do lashes at 10:30AM to have my eyelashes removed - eyelashes were removed but still was in some pain, but this time a woman did my lashes. She was much better than the male. She apologized and I sympathized. I was not angry or held any hostility toward anyone there, as I understand this must have been the first time this has ever happened to them. The owner was also there to check up on me etc etc. They also refunded me. Overall, I'm giving them a 3 because I feel compassionate towards the owner and the employees. I know all this couldn't have been predicted and I also understand this was not the intention of the place, as I believe they do good services to their clients. This is solely based on my experience with their service. I'm merely indifferent about this place and eyelash extensions because to be frank, this experience scared me to the core but at the same time I think everyone else has had good experiences. Unfortunately, I was not one of those people. However, I do urge people who are looking into getting eyelash extensions to be aware that this type of stuff may happen and the results can be very serious. Your eyes are incredibly vital and you should take precaution when doing anything to your eyelashes or wearing contacts or even eye makeup. read more
