We made a final selection that i thought looked great on him, as did our family. The minute we sat down with the Rep (heavier set African American woman wearing a mask) to finalize our selection she said "those frames are too narrow for your face". We were taken aback by her abruptness as she continued to talk about how the glasses we had chosen were not right for his face and then made the comment "look those don't even loop behind your ear correctly". At this point its as if she thought we were stupid by the way she was talking to us. My husband took the glasses off and put his glasses that he had come in with back on (these were his daily glasses for the last 4 years purchased at Americas Best prior). She then looked at his daily glasses and said "those glasses are too narrow for your face too!" He very nicely explained that he hadn't had any issues with these and that they were actually purchased here prior. She replied that she was "shocked that a seasoned eye doctor would ever sign off on those". By this point I was extremely unhappy and my husband was feeling very uncomfortable with the way the rep was speaking to us. He told her he would still like to go through with his selection and she clarified by saying " you still want to go with the ones that are too small for you?" Her opinion dominated our entire visit tonight as she made it EXTREMELY well known. This woman insulted my husband and ruined this experience for us. She should be absolutely ashamed for the way she spoke to us! I am tempted to cancel our current order and take our business elsewhere. We will also be sharing our experience with family and friends and warning them to never visit this store!

The FEMALE when I asked her a few questions threw in my face I have been here 25 years I KNOW. The male when we were having to order the glasses for a SECOND time had made up his mind what I needed when he NEVER meet me before and my daughter was trying to explain what we do for a living. It was like she was NOT there to him. The first time we order the glasses they came within a week but I was NEVER asked by miss 25 years to test them out to see if I could see or not and I had several other appointments to go to, After a couple of days TRYING them that is when I saw that a WALMART $20 pair was 100 times better than these, I called and left a message and after 2 hrs no one called me, So I called back and the lady in the glass section answered that is when she pulled the 25 yrs crap.I was neverl explained to that LINE bifocal lense would not go to the edge, I have had them BEFORE and they DID. But here ARROGANCE was really shining through. I complained and all I got was to reschedule the appointment. I asked to speak to the office manager right after the older eye doctor checked the lens prescription was a little off. When we told the office manager she told us they have had to talk to them before, evidently they have NO FEAR on how they treat the patient. When we talked to the male with the NEW lens order he did NOT really want to listen to us. This was right before Christmas, When we have NOT gotten the blasses well into the NEW YEAR I called and i was told another 7 to 14 days so what took about a week before was now going to take a MONTH. No explanation NO apology. So I had to go another month without seeing!!! I called the office manager again to find out was up and THEN I got the truth, the people that made them SCREWED them up for a second time and had to remake them AGAIN. The folks in the glass side new this and NO CALL NO APOLOGY. When I FINALLY got the glasses today the EYE DOCTOR receptionist waited on me. and the ones in the glass side there was both the male and female with ONLY one customer, I guess I was NOT important enough to bring to me, CHECK the fit, CHECK the lens and MAYBE an apology for it taking so long. If you need a good EYE Doctor they are GOOD, if they order glasses or contacts for YOU, AVOID this side of the office. You will not only be TREATED better but same some money and if they screw up you might get a little something for incovenience . My total cost before issurance for ONE pair of lineless biofocals was $928 and my cost was $502.40. If I had went to Visionworks I could have gotten TWO pairs for a little more AND i would have gottent hem WITHIN a week.

A refreshing change in an often difficult industry. Low marks for staff and communication. About 6-8 months ago, called about possible abrasion. Answering service said they'd pass along message. Call back was several days later. More recently, I had a suspected eye injury. Called and got message that they had a high volume of calls, try website or leave message. I shared message of possible injury-needed to be seen or referred. THIRTY HOURS LATER, I got a call back that they were still very busy and could give me some numbers for their other practices so I could call and see if they might be able to work me in. By that time, I had been to a Primary care doctor and referred to an opthamologist who had started necessary treatments and prescribed meds to address the pain. So, if you only need an exam and some glasses, this might be the place. If you happen to consider them your eye doctors and have an emergency, might want to have a backup plan.

Dr. Evans has always provided excellent care to me. Having a provider that is confident in his work but can also come across in a very friendly, personable way is hard to find. Often times providers that have years of experience can become arrogant. I am thankful that Dr. Evans is one who remains relatable and pleasant. Angeline, the contact consultant, is very knowledgeable and helpful. This office is comprised of pleasant professionals that clearly care about the work they do. I appreciate the way they work well together to keep the patients moving through. After my most recent visit, the lady in the optical area called me several times to check to see if I wanted her to order my contacts for delivery at my home. It's what I normally do and because I failed to check in with her prior to leaving, she made sure to reach me and I appreciated that.

The first was done in the old location, a plain, clean, older building in the middle of the hospital section of High Point by Dr Tepodino, and refreshed (for want of a better word) last year. No trouble ever. The procedure was seamless, the small staff kind and helpful. The cost was borne by insurance, with a $60 copay. The second operation was conducted by Dr Evans in the sleek, new facility near the old shopping center. The operation was attended by at least six auxiliary staff, each of them asking me the exact same questions. I declined the offer for assisted sleep, as I wanted to remain conscious for the operation. I was also given an option of a special lens to correct an astigmatism, at an (uninsured) cost of over $1,000, which I declined, as it could easily be corrected with glasses. The actual operation took about 20 minutes. I can see much more clearly with the new lens, although there is now a shadow on the left peripheral side of my vision which wasn't there before the operation. My copay was $340.00, and I found later the cost to the insurance company was nearly $14,000.00.
