I have been recently looking for new glasses and prescription and came upon this location. Based on the reviews on yelp and convenience, I decided to drop by. Initially, I just wanted to come in and look around for a decent frame. However, when I first stepped into this store, i was greeted by two very nice workers, Nick and Patricia. Nick was very enthusiastic and energetic with helping me decide on frames. He also suggested that I get an eye exam here, but I didn't make an appointment. He was able to fit me in for an eye exam on the spot! Of course, since i needed new prescriptions anyways, I decided to get one. The doctor was very professional and friendly during the whole procedure. The eye exam took no longer than 30 minutes. As for frames, I'm a very picky person so I knew finding the right frames was going to be difficult. Nick was very helpful and patient with me as I was trying on different frames. He was not afraid to give his honest opinion on frames that didn't look nice on me or fit my face shape. Through Nick's suggestions, I was able to finally choose a frame that fits me well and is stylish! Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my glasses. Within an hour or so, I had gotten my prescription and my glasses done. I cannot stress how satisfied I was to get everything done in one visit! This place offers the best customer service out there because they are patient and understanding about the fact that it can be difficult when it comes to selecting a frame. read more

I had been going to a different optometrist for years, but the last two times I'd gotten glasses from them they weren't correct, so this time I decided to find someplace new. Eye Q Optometry had 5 stars so I made an appointment. They were amazing. The prescription that I got from the other optometrist was not correct. I need bi-focals for working at the computer and another prescription for driving/distance. Patricia really took her time with getting the correct combination and when I picked up my glasses I was so happy that I could see everything clearly! Came in a while ago and I can't believe I've forgotten to write a review! Had my eye exam performed by Dr. Yap who was attentive to my needs. I wanted to purchase new contacts and he suggested 2 generic brands to try out. Both were very comparable to what I'm use to so he gave me a pair of each to see if I liked them. Also a friendly staff, Nick, helped me with a discount on the transaction and followed up with me to see how I felt about the contacts :) PROS: professional doctors, knowledgeable staff, great service, large selection of eye wear, variety of contacts and color contacts (brand names and generic brands) ***so much to choose from, you'll have to go in and see for yourself!! I have never reviewed on yelp before, but I felt so inclined to write one this time. I had my eye exam done by Dr. Banzuela and she was first doctor to explain and find that I had astigmatism. I also had a great time picking out eyeglasses with the whole staff. I tried a lot of different frames and they were very patient and helpful with styling me. Patricia helped me select my unique green Legre eyeglasses. I never knew how much fun going to an optical was until I visited eye.Q! I am knowledgable in my on professional field but when it comes to reading policy plan of my insurance i have no idea. I came here cause a friend recommended me this place. Thank God they did cause i don't think i would of learn so much and be so satisfied with my experience anywhere else. PATRICIA was one of the representative of this location and she helped me so much. PATRICIA greeted me as i walked in and was really patient with me when i had all these questions about my insurance that she answered. Came here recently about a month ago to get my eye exam done and knew I was going to need glasses due to being nearsighted. Everyone there was super friendly, professional, so patient with me trying on practically all the styles on and my glasses were ready the same day! Low and behold less than a month later I lose the pair, but luckily all I had to do was make a phone call and they were so patient with me! I probably called them back 5 times debating on getting the same pair or another style. They were super helpful and my replacement pair were ready the next day, everything was as expected. I highly recommend. I even stopped at LensCrafters before paying over the phone and LensCrafters the was charging me double! For the same everything? Wow what a rip off. I have been coming to Eye Q Optometry for a couple years now, whether it be contacts or an eye exam I have always had excellent service. I have always seen Dr. Yap for my annual eye exams or contact fittings and never once have I questioned his knowledge and expertise. He is a truly genuine and passionate Optometrist! Great work! This most recent visit though I finally decided to get fitted for glasses. I normally wear contacts but have not had backup lenses for some time now. Im extremely picky and admittedly, I was indecisive, but Tatiana was a great help. She was very knowledgable in terms of what to look for with the frame fit and also what to be aware of, the logistics of it all. But also with that being said she knew that I also cared about the look of them on and was sensitive to that. Absolutely outstanding - the people that work here are gracious, pleasant and very kind hearted. They fixed my eyeglasses in a minute, and refused to charge me for it. Eyeeeeee like this place! *see what eye did there?* Ha! I've visited with Dr. Yap who was kind and also made me feel like he actually knew what he was talking about. Got my eye exam and update for Rx and then looked around for some glasses. What I love about this place is that every employee is kind and knowledgeable about the products and frames there, and if not they seek to find the answers you need. The customer service is great. I also have to note how they took care of me while I battled being indecisive with a pair of frames that they kindly replaced for me with another pair. I had to pay for the transaction but most places wouldn't switch out the way I did. I also enjoy their selection of frames. I trust them and will gladly return!! read more

I needed glasses before I went out of town. I stopped by Eye Q to see what the turn around time was for glasses. Patricia helped me and was such a savior. It was Thursday night and I needed glasses before I left at noon on Friday. She helped me with my insurance and also getting my prescription from Lenscrafters (it took 3/4 tries before they even sent it over). Before even getting the prescription, Patricia took care of everything and assured me that I would have my glasses before I left. Lens crafters finally faxed the prescription at 10am and by 11am I got a call from Patricia saying my glasses were done. When I picked them up the doctor even came out to see if they fit right. Everyone here was so nice and accommodating that I regret even going to Lenscrafters before coming here. They also have a really great selection of glasses. read more

I needed a check up for my vision and was pleasantly surprised. Don't be put off by the empty mall location- it is great to have easy parking. Everyone in the office was professional and pleasant to interact with. They were clearly knowledgeable in their areas of expertise and they communicated their findings in an accessible way. Since my first visit I returned and a second time and overall I have purchased two pairs of glasses from them. They had a nice selection of frames even for someone like me who can be a little picky with my frame choices. Dr. Yap and Tatiana were absolutely fantastic with my rather difficult contact lens needs...I am not an easy case. I am vain and don't want to wear glasses unless I'm at home. I prefer to wear contacts all day. Let me start by saying that Eye Q Optometry must have lost money on me. I was there sooo many times, trying to find the right rx. The glasses were no problem, they got those done easily. With the extra help of sweet Tatiana, I was able to utilize my insurance benefits to the fullest and now have great, clear, comfortable glasses (as good as can be expected for a woman in her 40s who's rx changed for the first time in 25 years!) Dr. Yap had a much more difficult situation with me bc I'm at the point where I just can't have what I want (contacts that are also perfect for distance AND staring at a computer all day. But by God did he try. He ordered me so many samples, tried so many angles, saw me GRATIS several times...just to appease my impossible demands. Unfortunately, I will never be able to see perfectly well in lenses due to my horrible vision. But he got me as close as I'm going to get. He will spend so much time with you that I don't understand how they are not losing money. Moreover, they were beyond accommodating with my schedule. Real Talk...getting older sucks and your eyes aren't the same. But Eye Q will do their best and I am so glad I went there. I will return next year bc, let's be honest...we all know my eyes will just get worse. Alas, I take comfort in the fact that I'm dealing with professionals who will lead me in the right direction. P.S. I also sent my husband here for a check up (it'd been over 10 years!) and he too was very impressed by Dr. Yap and their technology. And they will not try to up sell you extra things. Tatiana is great at helping to pick out what's flattering and is also quick to say when something DOESN'T look good...even if it's more expensive! Imagine that? Our family will continue to use Eye Q and will recommend it to anyone who needs a good, solid, friendly place that remembers who you are when you go back. P.P.S. The girls were super friendly (as was the man that also helped me :) ) He said I made a good frame choice which meant a lot since I was stepping a bit out of the box ! I was able to get a quick appointment within a week. My daughter and myself had seen Dr. Banzuela. This was the first eye appointment for my daughter and Dr. Banzuela has made her extremely comfortable and relaxed. As for myself she was great. What I surprised at was how fast my glasses were done. I searched Yelp and decided to go with Eye Q, and boy am I glad that I did! Tatiana greeted me with a big smile and then did an excellent job giving me my initial exam. There was multiple tests, unfortunately, I did have to get my eyes dilated. Dr. Put some eye drops and that helped. It is so frustrating when only part of a team seems to know what they are doing. The Dr. is great but I simply cannot trust the competence of his team. When the most basic questions are not asked it leaves you wondering. When they don't have the basic tools, such as color samples for the polarized lenses, it makes you question exactly how much they care. They are all nice, but it's not nice that we want. We want to feel that we are in safe, competent, professional hands that know what they are doing. Unfortunately, I didn't feel that with the support staff. read more

This place is the best. Dr. Banzuela Yap was lovely. She was so friendly and helpful while still being very professional. The optician Andres was just as wonderful. They both took the time to answer all my questions and help me find the best frames for my glasses. They had a great selection of frames, high-end brands as well as more affordable options.
