Dr Gomez is a nice guy but he doesn't know how to prescribe glasses. He made a mistake on both my and my wife's glasses and it took a while to get the correct prescription glasses (he got the lenses mixed up with prescription strength), which my wife is still having issues with. My advice is to avoid this place which is located in not the best area and find a competent doctor. read more

They're appointment only but when you come to get your glasses or contacts they're not here because they don't schedule appointment for pickups, then close their office. I asked when I could pick up lenses and was told anytime but here I am and it's not the time at 1:30pm on a Monday. I hate wasted time and worse I'm standing out in front of their offices without my glasses. I won't be back. I'll have them mail my glasses and do my RX with someone else. It's a Latino based office and I can report that as a Black woman I have experienced multiple experiences of anti-Blackness with their staff. Staff was great. Shout out to Junior and his other co-worker. Not Steven or Stephen, he's why I won't be going there anymore. Doctor was great too. My issue was that I paid for sunglasses but didn't receive the original lenses with one pair. The other pair had both. When I called to inquire Steve said he'd look into it. Took down my phone number and said he'd call me back to update me. That was TWO months ago. I shouldn't be chasing down my lenses and he should have called me back. For this reason alone I won't be going back. No other optometrist has done this. I assume someone kept them. I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years, bringing my entire family to purchase our glasses and contacts here. Recently, when my new glasses broke (after 1 week of use) and it took over three weeks to fix, the staff refused to extend a promotional discount, stating it was only valid for 30 days (I was 2 weeks late). Additionally, the manager was unavailable to discuss this matter (He was at lunch break in the next room) , and the receptionist was unhelpful. Let me start with the fact that the staff at the Eyedeal Care Optometry is super organized. Everything was smooth starting with the health check at the door. After waiting just a few moments in the socially-distanced waiting room, I was escorted into an exam room for initial screenings. All of the people I encountered were courteous, competent, and really nice. This was the first time seeing Dr. Gomez, and I was impressed with his knowledge, friendliness, courtesy and efficiency. My examination, including dilation, was completed far more quickly than I expected. Dr. Gomez had shown great deal of care for my then-inflamed left eye. I have seen Dr. Gomez three times in total. He managed to solve my years-long eye inflammation within a month. Dr. Gomez is an amazing doctor and an even better person. He was thorough and thoughtful and made sure I was taken care of. He answered all my questions about the cholesterol showing up in my eyes and myokymkia that recently started (eye twitching). I brought my 7 year old who was very nervous before we got there. Very good place to get your next glasses. I got my appointment for yesterday, got my thorough eye exam. Doctor is a USC graduate, very knowledgeable, told me things that no other doctor even mentioned before about my astigmatism . I asked to match my old glasses , since I had no other pair left, he did extensive eye exam and was able to tell me exact vision I had before for reading . I needed one pair for driving and one for upclose ( reading and computers ) . They also have quite a good selection. Staff is friendly and accomodating. They explained that I can get a better lens for my next glasses I will definitely bring my wife next .
