Waited a month and a half before attempting to ask where my order was, was told it would be a week and they'd upgrade me to faster shipping for the problem. Waited two weeks, nothing. Called again, was told it'd be a week, and they'd upgrade me to faster shipping for the problem--deja vu all over again. Now, two and a half months after ordering, I finally cancelled the order for good. We'll see if the refund goes through. Pro tip: They will never, ever respond to an email. I have ordered from this place two times before (2022 and 2024) for replacement lenses (where I send my frames in with the new prescription and they replace them). Read this well, any company that operates in this manner, is not putting their customers first. I almost gave them 2 stars for the Dolomiti eyeglasses, but this is not an eyeglsss review. They get zero for shipping my $450 eyeglasses to Italy using a $20 subpar 3rd party shipping company (global post), that itself only has 10k 1.2 stars, AFTER after they charging me $70 for USPS priority express. Even so, the small flatrate box (which they shipped my exact previous pair in stateside), is only $50.55, but I could have dealt with. However, besides offering horrible service, the reason Global Post only charges the shipper $20, is because they gouge their customer on the other end with fees, lol. Eyeglasses did not not even have the courtesy, for $70, to upgrade from GP standard ship, it is right on the tracking number, that I uploaded to this review. This would not be so bad, had I not specifically stated when placing the order, that I did not want a private courier due to the excessive VAT fees they charge, almost or as much as the actual VAT. The eyeglasses customer service rep attempted to gaslight me by stating , oh but this company works with usps. Except the tracking number they sent me is global post, and it was picked up by global post, where it sits in a warehouse for probabably weeks, THEN it off to usps, then global post receives it to process the VAT/fees and then off to Poste Italia, who will force me to pay them a global post processing fee +VAT to oick up my package. The rep tried to blame tariff issues for changing the shipping means, except this package is leaving the US, to a country that has had VATs forever, not coming. Zero excuse. The rep finally agrees (after offering 1/2 ship refund), to refund the difference out of courtesy. No, you are refunding me because your company over triple charged me for a service they did not provide, and using a service I speciffically indicated I did not want. Then she said not to worry, they will ship a new pair if it gets lost, lol no worries, 6 month wait. No, if it gets lost I am initiating a Chase chargeback. So, according to Global post reviews, I may or may not recieve my eyeglasses for at least 2 months, verses a direct USPS small international priority flatrate, which I paid for, and only takes 6-10 business days. Any company that uses GP must be aware that they have a tendency, with 4 package transfers, to lose packages. They are also aware that it sticks their customers with fees, because GP literally brags about keeping costs down on their website geared to drum up ecommerce business. So, what exactly was the other 50 I gave eyeglasses for usps priority anyway, other than my giving them money for a nothing but a headache? This review is for eyeglasses.com I was a repeat customer to this website having had lenses made. The lenses were fine. I decided to send in my mother's glasses this time. Shockingly bad treatment of a repeat customer. Their website malfunctioned making it impossible to access and print the shipping label. The company suggested that the problem was on my end (inability to make proper use of their website). I was promised an email with the label by the next day but that the representative couldn't do anything the day I ordered the lenses. This label did not arrive the next day. Why was I concerned? These are my mother's glasses and I'd already been set back by some false starts with insurance plus I was anxious to ship before the 4th of July. Having not received the label the next day, I called again, spoke with another agent, who said there had been a glitch on their end and promptly sent me the shipping label. Somehow she could do it whereas this courtesy was impossible the previous day. I was again told that I should be grateful for free shipping and that this is a small business etc. etc. When I asked for compensation for the difficulty and the wait, they took 10% off the total. Ok, 10% was something - about $11 - but not much on top of condescension. I printed the label and went off to UPS. On the way, the company called me to say that since I had had so much trouble with their website, they were doing me a favor and cancelling my order. Again, all this is my fault apparently. If I had shipped it, they said, they would have sent the glasses back without providing lenses. Astonished at this treatment. I see now that the Better Business Bureau rating for this company is an F owing to multiple complaints and non-response by the company. The lenses were made incorrectly. Unlike other online Rx eyeglass stores, this company does not offer a full refund on glasses and leases that are defective, even though they say they do. They only offer 50%refund and 50% store credit. They also say they offer pre-paid return label, but they don't. I wanted prescription sunglasses but they could not make them with the lens that I ordered, nor could they add the mirror tent to them. That was the whole purpose of my order. I paid this company almost $1000. When they could not make my order, I cancelled the order. Here we are a week later and they will not refund my money. after receiving and taking home, my new glasses that were specially ordered with progressive and transitional lenses, I found they were not fitting properly. I brought them back today and Scott at Jefferson Valley Mall was helping me try to figure out what the problem is. I was convinced I needed new glasses because these were so uncomfortable, but he kept trying to change things about that to see if he could make them more comfortable for me. What he ended up doing after quite some time was he put some sort of a nose bridge across the top of the glasses which surprisingly fixed the problem . I took the glasses back home with me as Scott suggested, just to be sure that it would work out before I selected another pair. I was quite impressed that the problem seems to have been solved because of Scots, ingenuity and efforts. I'm hoping that this all works out for me but, in any case, I am so happy with the customer service at the store. read more

Long delays with no communication as to what the hold up is. MELISSA, the one who claims to be the highest in the company you can speak to, was one of the worst customer service experience I've had. That's saying a lot. She was rude, condescending, threatened multiple times to cancel my order if I didn't stop asking questions. Complained that she had to pull all her costumer service reps off the phone because of terrible people like me who complain. I love this service! I purchased two pairs of glasses from them: one pair with a frame from their selection and one made with my frame, which I sent in and they replaced the lenses. Both pairs came to me within a month - even though I ordered during the holidays and COVID! - and they look great and fit perfectly. I have an expensive prescription but at eyeglasses.com I got TWO pairs of progressive lenses for what I would pay for one at a regular store. The customer service was very helpful - I was able to email back and forth with someone until all my questions were answered. Well it looks like they advertise on Yelp and are able to pull down reviews on request. Anyway, I'll provide my experience with this store: I have shopped at this store 3 times in the past 5 years. They've often had excuses as if the lens came from another Country, quality control was a real issue with them. I ordered new lenses for my 8 year old and for months, MONTHS, they gave me the runaround. And it that wasn't enough they provided fake UPS tracking numbers and when I told them I'd file a complain with the Connecticut State Board they magically overnighted the lenses. The quality is mediocre and there were scratches, I emailed and called. 2 months later and still no reply. I purchased their "warranty". Today I called and I was told that I'm not welcome anymore at their store and they won't allow me to place orders in the future. It's May, I paid in January, 5 months later I'm still dealing with this issue. I've had enough. To anyone that had a problem with them, PLEASE file a formal complain with the board in Connecticut. My experience with eyeglasses.com has been a mixed affair. First off, I purchased a nice pair of Serengeti glasses, but I found on another site that the frame was small. I changed the order the next day but received no confirmation that anything would change. I contacted them again via email shortly thereafter, but again no response. I tried the "Chat" feature but found that there was no one with whom to chat. I then tried calling, as I was really getting worried that there would be no change.....no one answered. I think I left a message, but after so many failed attempts at trying to contact them, I gave up. Sure enough, when the order arrived, it was the frame that I had tried to change. The frame was legit and the lenses looked great for a fairly complex prescription. I went through the email/chat/phone again to then try to "exchange" the frame. Again, no response from any of the 3 forms of communication. Finally, I tried the phone one more time on a different day and SOMEONE ANSWERED!!! I was so surprised that I wasn't even sure what to say. The woman (Stephanie I believe was her name) said that the exchange had been started (?) but that the frame I wanted was being looked into for availability. As of this review, the jury is still out on whether my exchange will indeed happen. After a couple of weeks I sent an email, and after a couple more days I called and it went straight to voicemail. But then a couple of days after that I received a shipping notice out of the blue. My frames arrived 3-4 weeks after the purchase. I decided the frames weren't right and to return them, and was skeptical of getting a refund without a fuss, but eyeglasses.com processed the return online and gave me a pre-paid UPS label, and within a week I had my refund. I get why there are 1-star reviews below, and the company's communications are terrible. They had the frames I was replacing and were able to get them to me within 2 weeks. I want to say a week but I am a bit uncertain how long the transaction took. I did not purchase a prescription-only the frames and it took about a week so be mindful that even if you pick overnight shipping, it probably won't be as soon as you hope. However, they do inform you that there is a processing time frame so I wasn't expecting next day delivery. All my expectations were met and I was able to replace a broken from for about half the cost of the original frame and the website layout is easy and extremely fast. First of all, you can find same frames for half the price from other online sellers. Second, you can't get through to their Customer Service via email or phone, except on rare occasion. After many calls to their general no. and to their Westport, CT location. I was finally able to speak to two customer reps on separate calls. One told me their 'system was down' and to 'Try again later'. The other lied to me and told me they had 'tried to contact me multiple times' via email regarding an exchange. The only emails I received were automated 'Request Received' after attempting to contact them through their two email addresses: help@eyeglasses.com and customerservice@eyeglasses.com.
